Tulisan Ilmiah Pariwisata (TULIP) is a Journal published by Tourism Department of Universitas Muhammadiyah Gorontalo Tulisan Ilmiah Pariwisata (TULIP), with E-ISSN 2720-9873 (Online) is a Peer-reviewed journal published twice in June and December by Tourism Department, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gorontalo. Tulip aims to disseminate and provide information to the parties concerned in the study of Tourism. Tulisan Ilmiah Pariwisata (TULIP) is a scientific journal in the field of tourism studies. The manuscript can be a research paper, review articles, as well as conceptual, technical, and methodological papers on all aspects, includes research findings, experimental design, analysis, and recent application in tour and travel studies. The scope of these areas includes tourism planning, geography, tourism management, destination, traveling, environment, economics, gastronomic, heritage, and culture. Tulisan Ilmiah Pariwisata (TULIP) has been reexamined by peer victims. Unacceptable in this regard will be the right of the Editorial Board based on the words of colleagues

Abstract

AbstractThis article aims to determine the Shafar Bathing Ritual Process in Kec. Atinggola Buata Village, North Gorontalo Regency, and knowing the Implementation of Regional Government Policies in the Cultural Tourism sector towards Shafar Bathing Rituals in North Gorontalo District, and formulating solutions to the identified constraints. This article is analyzed based on a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the analysis of this article are 1) Shafar's bathing ritual starts from the morning at 06.30 WIB with the recitation of Al-Quran verses (Surah Al-Kahfi, Surah Yasin), and the traditional event of bathing Shafar then ends with eating together. 2) Tourism development in Atinggola District is quite good, seen from the policy of the District Government. North Gorontalo and 3) In implementing tourism development, the Tourism and Culture Office always tries to develop tourism in Atinggola District, namely by carrying out tourism promotion programs, tourism destination development programs, and tourism partnership programs. The tourism promotion program is carried out by organizing the Shafar bathing ritual which is carried out once a year in addition to tourism promotion via the internet. While the tourism partnership program, the Tourism and Culture Office collaborates with several related agencies to help develop tourism in Atinggola District.

Abstract

Botutonuo beach is one of tourism destinations in Bone Bolango regency, Gorontalo Province. There are several problems of Botutonuobeach such as human resource, internal and external factors of tourism development, and the development strategy of Botutonuo beach. The fundamental problem is the development of this tourism destination which has not been optimal yet. This research is to provide appropriate guidance in terms of development strategy of Botutonuo beach. The development strategy is to improve the quality of human resource, internal and external factors of tourism development, and the development strategy of Botutonuo beach so that this tourism spot can be developed optimally. This research applies qualitative approach (observation, in-depth interview, and library research). It is conducted to investigate the actual condition of Botutonuo beach such as human resource, SWOT analysis to identify the internal and external factors, and to codify the grand strategy of tourism development of Botutonuo beach. Research result shows that there are several problems on Boutonuo beach. They are; the potentials of Botutonuo beach have not been developed optimally in terms of human resource;the internal and external factors still contain weaknesses and threats, and the best grand strategy of development can be the strategy of SO, WO, ST, WT. Based on research result, it is suggested that the fundamental point to be developed is the quality of human resource. Moreover, in terms of internal and external factors, the government should develop the natural tourism of Botutonuo beach by improving the infrastructure, facilities, accommodation, accessibility, and more interesting tourism attraction. Finally, the government should apply WO strategy as the development strategy of Botutonuo beach

Abstract

Salah satu Kecamatan yang berada di Kabupaten Gorontalo, yang memiliki pesona alam yang sangat indah dan sangat beragam akan bentuknya yaitu Kecamatan Telaga Jaya, khususnya Desa Pilohayanga yang memanfaatkan Sumber Daya Alam atau Hutan Pinus untuk pembangunan wisata alam. Tempat ini dinamakan Wisata Pinus Ecopark. Wisata Pinus ini memiliki suasana yang asri dan sejuk, dengan pepohonan pinus yang rindang ini memberikan oksigen yang sangat baik untuk pengunjung. Bukan hanya itu, fasilitas yang tersedia di tempat wisata ini juga menjadi nilai tambah  yang  dapat  dinikmati  oleh  pengujung. Dengan adanya objek-objek foto yang sangat Instagramable, seperti Hiasan payung, Jembatan kayu, Pondokan atau Saung, Ayunan santai dan lain-lain.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the sources of foreign exchange, and so with the tourism of Pelabuhan Ratu beach which one of the revenue resources (PAD) of Suka Bumi regency. In the development of tourism destination object, Pelabuhan Ratu also determined by the environment aspect.In this research, method of research that used is an observation method. While the resource of the data derived from primer and secondary data. The primary data obtained from the local government sources. While the secondary data obtained from the literature or books and scientific journals. Based on the result of the research about the role of environment aspects, in order to preserve the environmental sustainability of Pelabuhan Ratu beach itself, so the development of tourism in Pelabuhan Ratu can be one of the sustainable development that can be approve continuously carried out in every time. One of the effort that can be done by the government in the development of Pelabuhan Ratu based on environment aspects is to determine the tourism development policy in accordance with the environment management which defined in national intermediate development planning.

Abstract

The rural tourist attraction of Malangan, Sumberayu Moyudan, is one of the tourist rural destination in the Yogyakarta Regency which is also affected by the rampant development of rural-based tourism products. Although this tourist village has received special interest from tourists, it does not mean that every tourist village can survive and present tourism products that can continue to attract tourists to come. In that case, strategic action is needed in destination destinations, such as observations, observing all aspects related to destination sustainability. This is due to the increasing number of tourist villages in an area, there will be many competitors or competitors, as a result, there will be fierce competition or even unhealthy competition between tourism village managers. This research was conducted to answer the challenge of the importance of management that is right on target at the destination, while still paying attention to the principles of the existence of a tourist village built using a SWOT analysis. The result of this research is to present a destination management strategy based on an analysis of external and internal factors, which includes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of each category.

Abstract

Marketing plan yang di rancang dalam penelitian ini bertujuan sebagai pedoman stakeholder dalam menentukan langkah-langkah strategis program-program pengembangan pasar. Pasar tradisional merupakan tempat bertemunya penjual dan pembeli serta ditandai dengan adanya transaksi penjual pembeli secara langsung dan biasanya ada proses tawar-menawar, bangunan biasanya terdiri dari kios-kios atau gerai, los dan dasaran terbuka yang dibuka oleh penjual maupun suatu pengelola pasar. Kebanyakan menjual kebutuhan sehari-hari seperti bahan-bahan makanan berupa ikan, buah, sayur-sayuran, telur, daging, kain, pakaian barang elektronik, jasa dan lain-lain. Selain itu, ada pula yang menjual kue-kue dan barang-barang lainnya. Pasar seperti ini masih banyak ditemukan di Indonesia, dan umumnya terletak dekat kawasan perumahan agar memudahkan pembeli untuk mencapai pasar. Beberapa pasar tradisional yang "legendaris" antara lain adalah pasar Beringharjo di Yogyakarta, pasar Klewer di Solo, pasar Johar di Semarang, serta Pasar Srowolan yang memiliki nilai sejarah perjuangan pada masa penjajahan kolonial belanda.

Abstract

Social media is one of a tool that has the function to increase and increase promotion and marketing, including Tourism sector. However, this tool developing social media which is a part of daily life, has different and varied implications in each use; Use anyone to use social media. If we look at it from the user's perspective, random results will be obtained. Especially if the users are people from various ages, education, and culture. However, in some studies the use of social media can be constrained in terms of its benefits, especially for tourism promotion and marketing purposes. The main focus of this article discussion include; Whichever organization uses and uses social media, what strategies are implemented, and the implications of today's and future for the audience. If we only observing social media consisting only of a series of updated popular applications, then in this paper offers opinions about some substantial research on using social media as a method for analyzing tourism market segmentation, by taking samples in several countries, in the field of Tourism such as DMO (Destination Marketing Organisation), and what form of communication results from social customer relationships management (SCRM) through social media. This article was prepared using a literature study of three articles that discuss the urgency of social media issues. These three studies were appointed as a rationale for social media in the country

Abstract

The Objectives of this research are to figure out the local community involvement in the management and the development of Hutan Pinus Dulamayo Tourist Attraction and to know how to improve the local community involvement. The method of this research is qualitative metode with observation, interview and documentation. The result of this research was the lack of local community involvement in the management and the development of Hutan Pinus Dulamayo Tourist Attraction. The management of this tourist attraction is handled by only some people wich did not give a big multiflier effect to all of the local community in Dulamayo Village.

Abstract

Tiliaya is one of Gorontalo traditional food which has historical values in Gorontalo society. Tiliaya is a kind of food that sarved in a tradition ceremony such as wedding, weighting, welcoming government guest and in traditional ceremony of praying for the soul of those who have passed away (doa arwah) and also served in the beginning of fasting month or Ramadhan. However now days not many people know the history of the traditional food that has been bequeathed. History and values of tiliaya that related to Gorontalo tradition and the implication of traditional food to the society social life. The objectives of this article is a first study to explain the history values of a traditional food that has been being an identity of a region, in the society cultural context of Gorontalo. Method that used in this article is descriptive qualitative by collecting the relevant literature. The respondent that has been interviewed in this article is the original society of Gorontalo, that has been choosen randomly but know the history of tiliaya and also the tradition of Gorontalo. This article conclude that tiliaya is a food that describes Gorontalo tradition and culture. Tiliaya has a historical values that almost forgotten, so this must be preserved. The existing of tiliaya shows the past society way of life and the present society who still preserves traditional food as part of tradition and local wisdom.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the strategy of preserving local culture to develop cultural tourism. This study is a form of strategic assessment effort to find solutions in the development of tourist destinations, especially cultural tourism. This study used the literature review method by collecting several references from previous research related to tourism development and preservation strategies. From the results of the analysis, it was found that one form of strategy that needs to be done is a marketing strategy to increase the number of tourist visits by creating a branding of cultural tourist attractions as a quality tourist attraction, maintaining the culture or customs and characteristics of local communities, conducting promotions via the internet or through the internet. brochures to introduce cultural tourist attractions to be better known by tourists, as well as build an image of tourist attractions to fix problems that result in a decreased number of visits
