This study aims to describe the process of children's language development and to find out the application of the language acquisition model of 'linguistic behavior' in foreign language learning. The design of this study was a quasi-experimental time series design. The populations in this study were all first graders at theSamarindaUlu International Elementary School, Samarinda City. The sample is the part of the population that is considered as the representative of the population. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The sample inclusion criteria were 15 first grade students at SamarindaUluInternational Elementary School who were selected based on their foreign language knowledge abilities. Data were taken from respondents based on three times of habituation by applying the linguistic behavior model. The results of the study showed that the process of children's language acquisition in language learning consists of two processes, namely the understanding process and the mastery process. The process of understanding is obtained naturally by every child through the experiences he/she has gone through. Furthermore, the process of mastering language is acquired after the child is able to apply the language that is understood based on the actual function and the meaning of the language. The application of the linguistic behavior language acquisition model conducted through several stages of habituation (1, 2 and 3) which can help to improve language development at 1st graders at SamarindaUlu International Elementary School, Samarinda, especially in learning English. By doing the habituation, children are helped to understand and master the foreign language they are learning, such as when they acquire the first language through habituation or experience that they are not even aware of.

The results showed that the city government had implemented the policy through a socialization program in communication and transmission. The socialization program has been implemented in almost all the markets owned by the Banjarmasin city of government. Through the socialization program, we were found that the implementation of the policy was clear and consistent. The Banjarmasin City Environmental Service apparatus is the human resource involved in implementing the policy. The other resources came from the Banjarmasin City Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget in budget sources. In terms of disposition, policy implementers are committed to carrying out their duties properly and democratically. The existence of Standard Operating Procedures has guided the policy implementation in terms of bureaucratic structure. However, implementation constraints still exist, such as public response, including the general understanding of the policy's benefits to reduce the use of plastic bags.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic that struck the world from March 2020 until today. This pandemic has changed the religious ritual of the Catholic religion around the world from the model of Mass congregation at church to online mass congregation at their homes. This mass congregation service at home indeed changed social interaction patterns. This research aims to investigate whether people's piety and social solidarity also changed with the mass service at home. By combining qualitative and quantitative methods during the last five months, this research finally found that, on the contrary, people's piety and social solidarity improved. It turns out that they are far more religious in their lives and very care about the catholic follower's life and other religious believers. This research has also made the church conduct paradigm reform in serving the people. The church has conducted a new kind of service in this New Normal era, i.e., Profilingcustomers. The church has studied their served people thoroughly. How is their profile, what do they need, and their expectation? The church has set customer focus, friendly, consistent, and continuous improvement. It is an effort to establish the people to the new performance style. The church is expected to keep on formulating new ways to overcome the shock of appreciation of faith due to this pandemic. In life, faith always has ups and downs; that is a portrait of human nature. This era is uncertain, but people will survive and live on. We are looking at the new face of the church, especially regarding piety and social solidarity of the people.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of Hindu women based on the legends of the wayang performance. Many post-colonial Balinese Hindu women began to leave their culture. To be more empowered, they do not have to leave their culture. They are still relevant as role models, like Dewi Anjani, Srikandi, and Dewi Kunti's struggle in the legends. The issues are as follows: (1) What is the image of Dewi Anjani, Srikandi, and Dewi Kunti's struggle? What can be learned from the three Hindu female figures in the legends? All the data was collected through documentation, observation, and interviews with informants in Denpasar. Qualitative-interpretative descriptive analysis is supported by applying symbol, hegemony, and deconstruction theory. The results show that Dewi Anjani is a female character who is able to fight for her rights equal to her two brothers. Srikandi is a female character who is able to fight on par with the leader of the knights on the battlefield. Meanwhile, Dewi Kunti was able to show a firm attitude during the Pandawa conflict. The images of the three figures are role models for the reconstruction of post-colonial Balinese Hindu women in responding to the challenges of globalization.
