AbstractThis research is aimed to find out whether there are significant effects of using scrapbook on the students’ motivation and ability in writing. This research designs a quasi-experimental research with non-equivalent control group design. The population of this research was 102 students of Ma Al-Qasimiyah Sorek Satu and the sample of this research is the X A for experiment class and X B for control Class. The data of this research were collected by giving the writing tests and questionnaire to the students. The results of data analysis showed: scrapbook is effective to motivated student on learning process and teaches writing, since motivation in learning English for student’s has improvement. The result of student’s writing test can be seen from the result of the t-test mean on experiment class is 2050. The probability of (Sig.) was 0.001 is smaller than 0.005 which shows a strong correlation of Scrapbook for the students’ writing ability in recount text. Then, the result of the t-test mean on control class is 6.33 and the probability of (Sig.) was 0.0023. From the result of calculation of effect size for paired sample t-test, the value of eta square is 0.59 is included in ‘Moderate Effect’ (0.51 – 1.00). It can be concluded that the implementation of scrapbook has beneficial effects. The research questions are answered that scrapbook is effective in teaching writing and giving a good effects for students’ motivation. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan media pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas III SD/MI yang praktis dan efektif, dan Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media Papan Berpaku (Geoboard) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika kelas III SD/MI. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas III. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu simple random siswa SD/MI yang berada dilingkungan peneliti yang berjumlah 4 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh penggunaan media Papan Berpaku (Geoboard) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika kelas III SD/MI. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dari hasil t-test pada taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh p value nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) < taraf signifikansi α (0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Papan Berpaku (Geoboard) berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Matematika kelas III SD/MI di lingkungan sekitar peneliti.Kata Kunci: Media Pembelajaran Papan Berpaku (Geoboard), Hasil Belajar.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan remaja mengenai bahaya LGBT baik dari segi kesehatan maupun dari segi sosiologis, serta mengetahui sumber dalam perolehan mengenai bahaya LGBT pada remaja kelas XI di SMAN 15 Pekanbaru. Didapatkan 150 sampel dari total keseluruhan kelas XI SMAN 15 Pekanbaru dengan populasi 239 orang. Data penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen yang validitasnya diuji di atas 0,3291, dan uji reliabilitas Cronbach Alpha sebesar 0,773. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman remaja tentang bahaya LGBT dari segi kesehatan berada pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase 95%, dan tingkat pengetahuan remaja tentang bahaya LGBT dari segi sosiologis berada pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase 96%. Adapun sumber perolehan informasi yang didapat oleh remaja mengenai bahaya LGBT sebagian besar didapat melalui media dengan persentase 92% dan dari orang terdekat dengan persentase 8%.

Bantuan Operasional Sekolah (BOS) merupakan suatu program yang dilaksanakan oleh pemerintah dengan tujuan untuk membantu meringankan pembiayaan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesenjangan dalam program BOS pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SMK Kristen BM Salatiga. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan evaluasi gap (Discrepancy). Subjek dalam penelitian ini diantaranya adalah bendahara BOS, kepala sekolah, orangutua atau wali siswa dan juga siswa. penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, dokumentsi dan juga observasi untuk memperoleh suatu informasi dan informasi tersebut kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Hubermen yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian dan penarikan kesimpulan. Program BOS yang dilaksanakan di SMK Kristen BM Salatiga masih mengalami kesenjangan pada pelaksanaan dan standarnya. Pada aspek desain sendiri program BOS di SMK ini sudah sesuai dengan Juknis. Pada tahap instalasi terdapat kesenjangan yaitu adanya kegiatan yang mendadak dan kegiatan tersebut memakan banyak biaya sedangkan pada pembiayaan harus disesuaikan dengan SPJ. Kemudian pada tahap pelaksanaan terjadi kesenjangan yaitu pada saat keterlambatan pencairan BOS dimana BOS merupakan sumber dana utama pembiayaan pendidikaan. Sehingga dari tahap pelaksanaan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat kesenjangan pada tahap pelaksanaan dengan Juknis.

Scientific attitude and the cognitive learning ecology of plant biology students’ FKIP Islamic University of Riau has not been satisfactory. The experiment was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2014/2015 in the fourth grade D in Biology FKIP Islamic University of Riau. This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages.Data were collected through observation sheets filled in by the observer and data achievement test given the end of the cycle. Observation sheet used to determine the scientific attitude and cognitive learning outcomes of students during the learning takes place. The results of data analysis Cycle 1 and Cycle 2 shows the increase in the scientific attitude and cognitive learning out comes of students’. Scientific attitude of students’ increased from 60.97% to 73.00% with an increase of 12.03%. Cognitive learning outcomes of students in Cycles1 and Cycles 2 also increase. The number of students’ who pass increased from 54. 54% to 81. 81% . In general it can be concluded that the use of models of Problem Based Learning can enhance scientific attitude and cognitive learning outcomes of students’ in biology semester IV D FKIP Islamic University of Riau.

AbstracFitrah is something a person from birth. But the reality of nature can not be terned as a potential. Therefore, to grow requires coaching and guidance for that potential to form. The potential of a person sometimes also come from a gene and also coaching and guidance. The purpose of establishing the nature of this potential turns in order to form consistent with the educational goals of Islam according to the Koran Alhadits. That goal can be realized with the efforts of directing, guiding and directing children separately develop the potential of the natural innate, ie nature. In order to be implied as well as possible within the guidelines of the Qur’an and Hadits.Keywords: Fitrah, Education, Potential, Character AbstrakFitrah adalah sesuatu yang dibawa seseorang dari sejak lahir. Namun kenyataannya fitrah tidak dapat disebut sebagai potensi. Oleh karena itu, untuk menumbuhkannya memerlukan pembinaan dan bimbingan supaya potensinya terbentuk. Potensi yang dimiliki seseorang terkadang pula berasal dari gen dan juga pembinaan dan bimbingan. Pembahasan tentang fitrah dalam kehidupan modern saat ini menjadi ranahnya psikologi dan pendidikan.Tujuan pembentukan fitrah supaya terbentuk potensi ini ternyata sejalan dengan tujuan pendidikan Islam menurut Al Qur an dan Al Hadits. Tujuan itu dapat diwujudkan dengan upaya mengarahkan, membimbing, dan membina anak untuk menumbuh kembangkan potensi-potensi alamiah bawaan sejak lahir, yaitu fitrah. This research was aimed to investigate the English teacher’s activities and determining factors in implementing the scientific approach of the 2013 curriculum in teaching and learning process. This research used qualitative research design. The subject of this research was English teacher of SMPN 3 Kampar. The data were collected by using observation sheet, interview, and documentation. The data were analyzed by using data analysis process developed by Creswell (1998): reading, describing, classifying, and interpreting. This research revealed that observing, experimenting, and communicating stages had been implemented very well in each meeting. However, questioning stage was only able to be implemented well. The teacher had provided opportunities for the students to ask some questions by walking over and pointing at the student to ask about the lesson. But, it was only conducted in the first and second meetings. Meanwhile, the implementation of associating stage was still bad. The teacher was only able to do this stage in the third meeting by giving the students task individually. This research also revealed that teacher’s motivation, perception, and experience were internal factors while media and environment were external factors influenced English teacher’s activities in implementing the scientific approach of the 2013 curriculum.

There are many types of learning media that can be used by teachers in the teaching and learning process. Teachers must be able to choose the right type of learning media to be used in teaching and learning according to student learning needs. In essence, everyone has the right to get a good education so that later it will be useful for their life and future. Education is a field that focuses its activities on the teaching and learning process. There are various types of learning media that can be used to facilitate teachers in delivering subject matter to students.
