Abstract

Almost all researchers categorize Abu A’la al-Maududi as the founder of Islamic politics in Pakistan. as other interpreters who find difficult to avoid subjectivity, Maududi’s interpretation of the Qur'an is also influenced by what he has been fighting for. Tafhi>m al-Qur'an is a work of interpretation that is full of socio-political dimensions and becomes a tool of legitimacy. Departing from this, this research will discuss aboutMaududi's thoughts on the socio-political problems that surround his region, Pakistan. Through the historical approach of thought, it will known how the concept of jihad and the Islamic state which has been a trend of renewal that he continues to encourage. A critical analysis was also presented by the researcher as a response to Maududi's interpretation model.

Abstract

Hijab and veil are clothes that become the identity of Muslim women, the verses used are interpreted by various commentators. By consensus, scholars agree that the hijab is obligatory, although there is no agreement on what the hijab should cover. Some scholars say that the hijab must cover the entire body except the face and palms, some say that the hijab must cover the entire body including the face except for the one eye. For this reason, it is necessary to reinterpret the verses of the veil and the veil of the analysis study of ma'na cum maghza on QS. Al-Ahzab: 59 and QS: an-Nur: 31, this research will answer the meaning, understanding and implications of the hijab verse. Through the ma'na cum maghza approach, it can be concluded that the hijab is something that is obligatory which is not affected in the cultural context, in contrast to the veil whose laws are in accordance with the cultural context. However, the veil should not be banned in areas that do not recommend it because it is in accordance with human rights.

Abstract

Since mid-2020, it started with the entry of the Covid-19 virus into Indonesia, which reportedly came from China and resulted in a very fast transmission process. This also affects new habits in the field of education. According to data from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), there are at least 290.5 million students worldwide whose learning activities are disrupted due to schools being closed. The impact of this pandemic has also resulted in changes to the learning system at the Jakarta Institute of Al-Qur'an Science (IIQ), including the student tahfizH deposit activity. Therefore, the campus must look for new learning alternatives, namely by implementing online distance learning. This application certainly has its own advantages and challenges. Apart from this online learning can provide flexibility of time for students and instructors, researchers want to know more about the implementation and obstacles of the online tahfidz deposit activity.

Abstract

Philanthropy in Islam leads to social treatment of the community, which has an important role in building, upholding justice and providing space for people who need resources that have not been met in fulfilling their needs. The practice of philanthropy in Islam through zakat, infaq, alms, and waqf (ZISWAF). In addition, Islamic philanthropy has made an important contribution to the economic empowerment of the community at large in the midst of existing social inequalities. Emphasizes human values ​​and carries moral values, with the principle of equalizing human degrees with other humans. The method that the author uses in this research is qualitative, by collecting various data in good form from written words that have been observed, and not from numbers. This study focuses on the views of some scholars regarding philanthropy that provide an understanding of the importance of philanthropy which is recommended in Islam by embedding the Al-Quran and the Hadith of the Prophet as a reference in interpretation. Not only fixated on the interpretation of the opinion of one scholar, comparing opinions between scholars is also important. With regard to the above explanation, the purpose of this study is to find out the Hadith, Verses and Tafsir of travelers related to ziswaf.

Abstract

After the development of Islamic dominion, the Ahlul Kitab (the Tabi'in Period) who knew the stories of the prophets and previous peoples entered Islam. However, the Qur'an in discussing the stories is only brief and not in detail. However, everyone must have a tendency to be complete and detailed, and listen to these stories in detail and make them a reference in interpreting the Qur'an. Thus causing controversy among scholars whether the stories of Israel can be used in interpretation or not. Related to this, the scholars have sparked the latest scientific disciplines in order to protect the interpretation from errors and deviations from it, namely the science of al-As}il and al-Dakhi>l which emerged in 1980 AD. al-Qur'an from faulty thinking or wrong logic, or commonly called al-Dakhi>l fi al-Ra'yi into seven kinds. In this article, we only discuss one of them, namely al-Dakhi>l from the path of heretical schools in Islam, especially Huseyn al-Zahaby's criticism of the interpretation of the Zaydiyyah Shia group in the interpretation of Fath al-Qadir. The following are his criticisms, namely, first, against the Mawdu>' (False) and Dhaif (weak) narrations, and he did not give any comment on these narrations. Second, on the interpretation of al-Shawkani in the story of the Prophet Yusuf and Zulaikha, especially the temptation made by al-Aziz's wife against the Prophet Yusuf. Third, to the Mutasa>bih verses interpreted by al-Shawkani, which he mentions in lafaz}-lafaz} in the Qur'an. Fourth, to al-Shawkani's view on the issue of the Qur'an is makhluq.

Abstract

The first an Interpreter to notice is the text, because if you don't pay attention to the text, you will certainly get the wrong understanding, and his explanation of the verse will be wrong or make unfounded conclusions. The first step that should not be neglected in the interpretation of the Qur'an is understanding the text. While contextual adherents are groups who really like to do qiyas or analogies. This group prioritizes the meaning of the pronunciation rather than the pronunciation itself. Contextual meaning implies that a word or speech symbol has no meaning if it is separated from the context. Along with the rapid development of technology, the interpreters must be adapted, dare to make changes in interpreting the verses of the Qur'an with various disciplines, namely with an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach or called tafsir jamâ'î, where the mufasir interprets the Qur'an with an anthropological approach, a sociological approach, a psychological critical discourse analysis approach and a natural or scientific approach. Why? because not all mufasir are figures who master all fields of science, so do scientists who are able to explain various physical and social phenomena, do not have knowledge of interpretation, it is these two groups that are expected to unite because they are considered capable of integrating the text and context of asbâb al-nuzûl.

Abstract

The national anthem Indonesia Raya, created by Wage Rudolf Supratman, appeared to encourage the struggle for the independence of the Republik Indonesia. Religious zeal accompanied the ideology of nationality to release the archipelago from the grasp of colonialism. The spirit of the warriors imprinted from the holy book of the Koran, really became a shield of power derived from the Creator. The Quran is the preserved holy book of the Almighty, thus being the only source of information and theological inspiration for freedom. Because the ideology of social liberation has been closed by the invaders. The Living Quran is one of the contemporary research methods that requires strengthening in order to be increasingly recognized for its existence as one of the scientific work processes in the field of Quranic Science. This method is rooted in the phenomenology that makes social phenomena the object of study. Along with its increasingly massive development, normative values in the study of interpretation need to be maintained so that the results of their research remain in line with the function of the Quran as a lifeline. The results showed that the lyrics of the national anthem Indonesia Raya, have content derived from verses of the Quran. The incarnation of the spirit of the archipelago in the form of oceans and land, is depicted in the Quran so that the Indonesian people have the power to realize natural management for mutual prosperity. The stories of the prophets and apostles contained in the Quran became a form of social ideology that became the glue of nationality.

Abstract

In this article, we want to emphasize one of the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad regarding women who are forbidden to marry. There are many cases among Muslims who marry women without thinking about their religion and lineage and do not consider the hadith of the Prophet saw so that the author wants to examine the hadith about women who are forbidden to marry. By using the Takhrij Hadith Method which uses the Book of Mu'jam al Mufahraz by Wensinck and Tahzibul Kamal fi Asma Al-Rijal by al-Mizzi, the author will review the validity of the hadith, so that the Islamic community knows the quality of the hadith. After conducting this research, it can be concluded that the hadith about women who are forbidden to marry are Sohih, so there needs to be confirmation from scholars or religious leaders that this hadith is worthy of being used as a reference for Muslims in choosing the woman to marry.

Abstract

abstrak Penelitian ini berangkat dari kuantitas ayat-ayat kisah dalam alquran yang tidak sedikit namun belum mendapatkan porsi perhatian yang besar layaknya ayat-ayat lain dalam alquran. Ayat-ayat kisah biasanya diartikan dan dipahami secara literal dan tekstual sebab nilai substantif yang ingin digali darinya hanya sebatas hikmah dan ibrahnya saja sehingga perhatian para sarjana Islam dan pemangku otoritas keagamaan di tempatnya masih terbilang minim padahal reinterpretasi ayat-ayat kisah bila diintergarsikan dengan ilmu sains dan ilmu modern berpotensi menghasilkan hal-hal baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan secara konseptual aspek teoritis yang harus dipahami dalam membaca ulang ayat-ayat kisah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kulitatif-deskriptif dengan tinjauan library reseach. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa porsi ayat-ayat kisah sangat besar dalam alquran yakni berjumlah 1600 ayat dari 6200 an alquran. Ayat-ayat kisah juga memiliki karakteristik tersendiri diantara adalah ayat yang sering diulang-ulang, namun pengulangannya bukan berarti tidak bermakna dan menjadi sisi buruk dalam alquran melainkan justru dalam pengulangannya teradpat sastra yang sangat tinggi dan sarat dengan makna yang tak terduga.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas kritik wacana tafsir tentang applied science (ilmu terapan). Berangkat dari banyaknya ayat yang membicarakan term ilmu, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa Alquran memberikan perhatian besar terhadap ilmu pengetahuan. Atas dasar tersebut yang kemudian menjadikan ilmu-ilmu terapan dalam konsep Alquran penting untuk dikaji. Terlebih fungsi Alquran tidak hanya sebatas bacaan, namun juga teman berdialog dalam membentuk pola pikir setiap pembacanya. Sama halnya dengan ilmu pengetahuan merupakan produk aktifitas berfikir manusia dalam meningkatkan kualitas kehidupannya. Pada kenyataannya, meski tafsir ilmi menimbulkan pro dan kontra di kalangan ulama klasik hingga kontemporer, tidak menghalangi pertumbuhannya. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan lahirnya ulama ulama terkemuka seperti al-Ghazali yang diyakini sebagai perintis dan al-Razi yang dianggap sebagai orang pertama yang menerapkan corak ilmiah dalam memahami teks Alquran. Tidak hanya itu, produk-produk hasil interpretasi ilmiah terhadap Alquran juga semakin meningkat, mulai dari Mafatih al-Ghaib hingga Tafsir Salman yang diterbitkan oleh Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). Lebih lanjut, dari serangkaian pembacaan dapat ditemukan jejak applied science dalam Alquran, mulai dari isyarat ilmiahnya tentang kesehatan, teknologi, pertanian dan tentu saja masih banyak lagi ragam isyarat ilmu pengetahuan lainnya yang membutuhkan interpretasi dari ulama atau cendikiawan yang memiliki kapasitas untuk melakukan itu.
