Abstract

Correctional assisted persons (Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan/WBP) are one of the most marginalized communities due to their past unlawful acts. Assisted citizens who have served a period of detention and behaved well will be appointed as companion prisoner (tahanan pendamping /tamping). Therefore, especially for these companion prisoners, skills are needed that can be a provision in living a new life in society. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge and skills in the form of video production for tamping in the post-incarceration period. The method used is lectures, practices and assistance in making videos using cellphone cameras to 8 tamping people at the Class I Detention Center in Depok. The results obtained from this activity include an increase in video making skills starting from planning, taking pictures and also video editing. This video can be used either as self-promotion or marketing products through social media. The conclusions of this activity include that accompanying prisoners who have participated in this activity feel the benefits as their provision in the future, 3 out of 8 tamping who have been free have begun to actively make videos in an effort to get alternative income through social media. For accompanying prisoners who are not yet free, they plan to make videos as a means of self-promotion and also market the products they will sell later

Abstract

The problem of plastic bottle waste is still a big challenge for Riau Province, including the Sedinginan, which is one of the villages traversed by the Rokan river. Plastic bottle waste from households along the Rokan river is disposed of in the river, so that the volume of waste in the river is increasing. Reprocessing plastic bottle waste is an effort to avoid environmental pollution by plastic waste. Through creativity, plastic bottle waste can be recycled into a minimalist sofa that has economic value. This Community Service was carried out by means of training on processing plastic bottle waste into minimalist sofas for PKK Sedinginan. The purpose the activity is to provide them with knowledge and skills on how to process plastic bottle waste into minimalist sofas. The implementation method is by conducting counseling and training to PKK mothers. The result of the activity was an increase in the knowledge and skills of PKK women on how to process plastic bottle waste into goods of economic value. Based on the activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that there must be ongoing training in plastic waste management, not only in the form of plastic bottles but also other plastics produced from household waste so that people have skills in managing waste.

Abstract

The Koto Tangah Subdistrict, Padang  is the location for implementing community service program activities in order to increase the income of catfish cultivators in the Koto Tangah Subdistrict, Padang. The partner of this Commuonity Service Program is a catfish farming group led by Cv.Family Pisces. The local community has carried out a catfish farming business but in its development faced several obstacles such as the low selling price of catfish. The solution to overcome these problems is through diversification of catfish products into processed fish that have added value to produce higher selling points and profit levels. So that it has an impact on increasing the income of catfish cultivators in the Koto Tangah sub-district, Padang. The implementation of this program was carried out using a participatory method through socialization, counseling and training activities. The processed catfish products produced are in the form of fresh catfish, catfish nuggets and catfish meatballs. The results of the business analysis show that with fresh catfish production of 50 kg/month and selling price of Rp. 80,000/kg, the income is Rp.4,000,000/month.The production of catfish meatballs of 20 kg/month with a selling price of Rp. 80,000/kg generates an income of Rp. 1.600.000/month. Furthermore, the production of catfish nuggets of 20 kg/month with a selling price of Rp. 100,000/kg generates an income of Rp. 2,000,000/month.

Abstract

The ecotourism concept was formulated by the government in the mid-1990s. The stretch of ecotourism began to be felt when tourism villages popped up everywhere. Banabungi Village, which is located in Pasarwajo District, has an icon of pride in Buton Regency, namely the asphalt mining company PT. WIKA BITUMEN and Banabungi port. Banabungi Village has many attractive locations, such as the Kali Lakua and Kali Sollo tourist parks, Rainbow Bridge, and the Dive Center. The community are mostly high school graduates and work as fishermen and traders. The natural conditions and environment are still very natural, with many ethnic plants typical of the coastal area, such as weeds and other shrubs. These plants have not been used economically and grow wild everywhere. The purpose of this community service activity is to utilize the potential of endemic plants so that they can have high economic value. The method used is to provide counseling about the importance of utilizing the natural potential around us to increase family income and provide training in making flower bouquets from dried and fresh plants. The community members were very enthusiastic and very interested in the training on how to dry wild plants and arrange them into beautiful flower bouquets that are marketable.

Abstract

One of Indonesia's sources of economic strength that has endured the epidemic that has been going on since 2020 is MSMEs. MSMEs are a type of industry that can take on labor thanks to labor-intensive business procedures. The UMKM Laura Pulau Harapan is one of the MSMEs found near Lake Maninjau. This MSME works in the food industry and relies on "Rinuak," a raw material source that comes from Lake Maninjau. Fish of the Rinuak variety can be found at Lake Maninjau. Rinuak sales are no longer dependent on the availability of raw materials because MSME companies have transformed it by turning it into several types of cuisine. UMKM Stretching was done by UMKM when processing Rinuak. Laura Pulau Harapan, manager of MSME, thinks that MSME can be grown even further but is limited by the framework issue. This is a result of managers' insufficient awareness of recording prior to the creation of MSME Financial Reports. There is no description of the business performance to date due to the lack of MSME Financial Reports. Managers are unable to manually or systematically record anything. This is because the manager was unable to record and prepare these financial reports and didn't understand how to do so. The team delivering training trains managers so they can record and compile financial reports using the mentoring approach and FGD. Managers have benefited from this training in that they have successfully completed various recording processes.

Abstract

The location of SD N Tukharjo, which is about 30 km from the Kulon Progo district center, makes educational facilities such as the regional library difficult to reach for students and teachers. The mobile library car run by the Kulonprogo regional library has also not reached SD N Tukharjo. The impact is that students and teachers only use the school library as literacy material. Currently Face-to-Face Learning (PTM) also limits the circulation of borrowed books in the school library. Through this activity, teachers will be given a deeper understanding of the nature of the literacy-numeration school program. Teachers are also encouraged to produce works in the form of fairy tale books that can add to reading material in reading corners or libraries, as well as increase skills regarding digital literacy by making literacy books based on augmented reality (AR). This service activity is carried out through four stages, namely planning, implementation, mentoring, and evaluation and reflection. From the results of the evaluation and reflection activities it can be concluded: 1) there is an increase in knowledge and digital literacy skills for teachers at SD Negeri Tukharjo, and 2) teachers at SD Negeri Tukharjo have succeeded in composing augmented reality fairy tales and have been ISBN-approved.

Abstract

Organic Fertilizers are fertilizers made from various natural ingredients. These natural ingredients can come from leaf litter or from food waste and leftovers. Garbage and food waste is fermented anaerobically (without oxygen) and without the help of the sun. The purpose of this activity is to introduce the manufacture of organic fertilizer from vegetable waste to the Kedung Waringin Village community. The material provided in this activity is how to utilize vegetable waste into products that have economic value. The material includes processing waste into organic fertilizer. The material is given by way of presentation using PowerPoint. The method of this activity is in the form of counseling and training to provide insight into organic fertilizers. The results of the socialization of organic fertilizers showed that the knowledge of the ylang-ylang women farming group increased by an average of 7% through the pretest and post-test values ​​during the socialization. Based on the evaluation, it shows that the women farmer group has been able to make organic fertilizer independently. Socialization on the manufacture of organic fertilizers provides additional insight for women farmer groups on the use of organic fertilizers for agriculture.

Abstract

The quality of students’ writing English is the reason for conducting Talk for Writing (TfW) workshop. This workshop aims to provide insight into how to teach writing in an interesting and fun way. English teachers in Merauke, South Papua, are the main targets for this activity, considering that teachers in this location rarely get refreshments for English teaching strategy. The method to implement this activity is carried out offline through several stages and namely, the lecture method used to introduce the concept of TfW. The second stage is a demonstration method showing a work process or stage of making a magpie that will be used in the TfW process. The third stage is the practice method. At this stage, the participants practiced creating a magpie and writing using the TfW approach. The final stage was an evaluation where the teachers received feedback based on the magpie and the writing they had made. During the workshop, the enthusiasm of the participants was very high. In addition, the knowledge and understanding of the use of TfW techniques have increased.

Abstract

Mug Booster is a type of small-scale craft that specifically only produces various kinds of Mugs bearing motivational words. The Booster Mug is made of paper cups & glass cups whose exterior appearance is designed with motivational words. This Mug Booster can be an encouragement. This Mug Booster can also be used as a souvenir, gift or for personal use for people who read the motivational words that have been written. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge and skills. The approach used is community development through training and assistance to productive economic partners, namely the Z generation group in East Banjarmasin District. The results of the dedication show an increase in knowledge, skills in product management.

Abstract

The continuity of the availability of raw materials for the processing of taro is a partner's need to develop a taro processing business, so that appropriate technology is needed for the cultivation of the new variety Febi521 taro. The service programme offered to KWT Sawargi is the use of narrow land owned by KWT members to plant the new Febi521 variety of taro, and it is hoped that it will continue so that the difficulty of taro raw materials can be overcome. Community service activities were carried out for 10 months consisting of training in new varieties of taro cultivation, the practise of planting Febi521 taro seeds and assistance until harvest. The results of this activity had a positive impact on the people of Situ Gede Village, especially KWT Sawargi. The taro seeds planted in the fields of several partners showed that the plants grew to a harvest of 83.33%. Febi521 taro is harvested at around 8 months of age and produces a weight of 76 kg from 100 plants with a weight of 500 - 800 grams per tuber. Assistance will continue to be provided until the partner becomes an independent KWT.
