Abstract

The lotus village is located in Muara Bulian District, Batang Hari Regency, Jambi Province. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, the people in Teratai Village also felt panic and anxiety. One of the efforts to overcome this epidemic is by continuing to maintain stamina to stay healthy, one of which is by utilizing ginger-based drinks. Ginger contains bioactives that can function as antioxidants with the active ingredient zingeron which is very beneficial for health. This Community Service aims to introduce various processed drinks with ginger-based ingredients, to help foster interest in home-based businesses that use ginger as a base, as well as provide direction regarding the marketing of home business products during a pandemic. The extension method is carried out to introduce to the public about various preparations with the basic ingredients of ginger. Apart from ginger, it turns out that ginger can be made for Andrek drinks, Ronde, sekoteng and many more. Questionnaire results from 21 respondents showed that the people of Teratai Village were in an effort to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic by always maintaining their health. A business that has been passed down from generation to generation and is still being carried out by making ginger based drinks. However, due to the limitations of knowledge and information, the public only knows ginger, which is a ginger-based product.

Abstract

Computer technology is very helpful for human tasks and has become an important need in everyday life. Computer technology has developed so rapidly that each student have to master it to make reporting easier.one of the programs software from windows is Microsoft office visio to create various diagrams such as flowcharts, block diagrams and data flow diagrams quickly for various reports. various diagrams such as flowcharts, block diagrams and data flow diagrams quickly for various reports.. So it is necessary to equip these students with the Visio program. This is the background to the need for Community Service with the title "Visio Training at the Dirghantara Aviation Vocational High School." The purpose of this Community Service activity is for students to be able to draw techniques using computers to support their activities. The method used in this activity was to provide theoretical material about office visio and continued with office visio training to grade 10 students at the Dirghantara Aviation Vocational High School. The discussion of the training included students being given office visio materials related to usability, tools in the program and image editing. Then students are given a problem making technical drawings about electrical networks to practice the Visio program. The conclusion of this activity is that all students can understand and use the Visio program well. As well as the Visio program is very useful to support their activities, especially when later making reports on field work practices.

Abstract

The trolley equipment that is typically used in malls or stores cannot be folded or bent to take up enough space for you to move it anyplace. Because using Solidworks software, the goal of this research is to develop a collapsible trolley. The Von Misses stress test was used to test folding and general purpose trolley frames for loads of 35 kgf, 245 kgf, and 875 kgf. According to the findings at a weight of 35 kgf, typical goods carts have a greater Von Misses stress of 796.6e+008N/m2. A regular goods trolley's high Von Misses stress is 7966e+009N/m2 at a weight of 245 kgf. On conventional goods trolleys, the Von Misses stress reaches 962.4e+009N/m2 at the maximal load, which is 875 kgf. Because folding trolleys use hollow iron, which is lighter, it follows that standard goods trolleys have a higher strength than folding trolleys, albeit folding trolleys are considerably more effective.

Abstract

Until now, manual trolleys that are used for goods or as a tool to help move goods from one place to another still use human power, The difference in the design of the trolley that I made and the trolley that is usually used at my research site is that the trolley can be folded which has the advantage of being a place to put the trolley and easy to carry the trolley either in two-wheeled vehicles or in four-wheeled vehicles. This research is based on ideas from the results of research in work areas such as malls, and minimarkets. The folding trolley that is being made at this time can withstand a compressive load test of up to 875kg with one damaged component, namely a broken wheel, while in a medium compressive load test of 245kg with a safe wheel condition there is no damage to the component but the occurrence of curvature on the middle of the trolley, the folding trolley which previously had a height from the tile to the bottom limit of the trolley which was 9cm and when given a moderate compressive load test of 245kg there was a bend of 0.3cm which means the current trolley height is 8.7cm and a low compressive load test was carried out with a loading press 35kg to 105kg the folding trolley does not change in height, which means the trolley is still 9cm. The final results show that this folding trolley can be used in the field.

Abstract

Elderly is a life process that will be passed by every human being. Where the elderly age declines and changes that occur physically and mentally. Elderly individuals will be very vulnerable to health problems, including stress caused by changes in old age life. The stress will certainly appear both physically, psychologically, and socially. Art therapy is one of the right ways to express emotions through pictures and colors. This activity will certainly please the feelings of the elderly. The purpose of this activity is to determine the effect of art therapy on the stress experienced by elderly patients while they are at the nursing home foundation. This activity was attended by 7 participants who were willing and in accordance with the inclusion criteria made by the activity implementers and carried out on April 14, 2023. The method of this activity was lectures and demonstrations. This activity is expected to be useful for the elderly and of course it can be an alternative for nursing home foundations to prevent/reduce stress on the elderly and of course it can improve the welfare of the elderly in social charity foundations.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is one of the chronic diseases which is the highest cause of death in Indonesia and the number of morbidities continues to increase so that the health costs of DM disease are also higher. Diabetes is a disease that can be controlled or prevented if it can be detected as early as possible, because diabetes is often associated with a person's lifestyle and diet which results in increased blood sugar levels in the body. The purpose of this activity is to empower the community, such as health cadres and community members in identifying and preventing diabetes mellitus. The method that will be carried out is health education through lectures and interactive discussions, and videos. This activity was carried out for 1 day and took place in Sumberrejo Village, Kemiling sub-district, Bandar Lampung City. Participants totaled 30 people who were village officials, health cadres and community members. The results of the evaluation of the service implementation found that there was an increase in the participants' understanding of 93.33% to a good understanding, 6.67% of the participants had a fairly good understanding, and no participants had a poor understanding of the signs and symptoms, risk factors, and prevention of DM. The average pretest result was 58.2 and there was an increase in the posttest result which was 84.5. Based on the analysis using the Wilcoxon test, it was found that there was a statistically significant mean difference in the participants' pretest and posttest scores (p=0.001). Community empowerment activities in identifying and preventing DM have proven effective.
