Abstract

Gunung Raya District, Kerinci Regency, has grown to become one of the centers of oranges production in Jambi Province. In general, oranges farmers in Gunung Raya District, use inorganic fertilizers continuously for a long period of time, so that it can cause soil fertility to be disturbed. Counseling on the use of organic and inorganic fertilizers on oranges plants needs to be carried out so that the availability of complete and balanced nutrients in farmland can be maintained, the productivity of oranges did not decrease. With the implementation of this activity, it was hoped that the knowledge of farmers about balanced fertilization on oranges plants and applying it to their farms could increase the production of oranges in Gunung Raya District.

Abstract

In the current era of information technology, information technology has helped and facilitatedhuman life from various dimensions. One of the products of the very rapid development ofinformation technology is E-commerce. E-commerce is a means or place to buy and sell goods,services and information via the internet network on computers or other electronic means. Ecommerce(Electronic Commerce) can be used in marketing agricultural products and has had amajor influence on the growth of the social and economic order of society. The purpose of thisservice is so that farmers who are in the Teratai village of Batang Hari Regency can increase theirknowledge of marketing agricultural products through E-Commerce, and train participants tomarket their agricultural products through E-Commerce and provide real time price information.The method used is counseling and training activities. The results of this service activity are toprovide benefits for training participants in increasing their knowledge and skills for businessdevelopment through the use of marketing agricultural products using E-Commerce. By marketingproducts through E-Commerce, it is hoped that in the future the business carried out by them will bemore developed, and the sales volume of agricultural products will increase in a fast time.

Abstract

Empowerment of women through the use of local resources provides change and progress in Rantau Puri Village located in Muara Bulian District, Batang Hari Regency. Local resources as a dimension of local wisdom include Natural Resources (SDA), Human Resources (HR), and Socio-Cultural Resources that must be utilized to achieve change, progress and prosperity. Utilization of these three local resources in an integrated manner can provide independence. The kepok banana is one of the local natural resources developed by the local community, the kepok banana was chosen because it is often found in the local area. Banana kepok can be processed into chips with various flavors and also opaque, while for the heart of banana kepok you can make steak. Processing made from bananas is still done traditionally or manually so that the resulting product does not meet market demand. The purpose of this service is to provide assistance to the joint business group (KUBE) of Rantau Puri village through the use of local resources to be managed into regional superior products. The service will be held on October 2, 9 and 16, 2021. The methods used to achieve the objectives include: (a) socialization of the program to target groups, local government and communities (b) counseling on the use of local resources (c) skills training to target groups . The results of community service in the form of empowerment or assistance to women through the use of kepok bananas which are processed into banana chips, opaque and steak. The conclusion of this service is that there needs to be further assistance to the community to be wiser and skilled both in terms of skills and technology in the use of local resources.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic that occurred in Indonesia since the beginning of March 2020, resulted in several business activities being suspended, mass layoffs, decreased people's income, and the people's purchasing power for goods also decreased. Based on the results of the analysis of The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) in April 2020, it shows that the growth of the manufacturing sector was 3.0% to -1.5% (corrected -4.5%) and the service sector 7.2% to 2.4% (corrected -4.8%), sector growth agriculture was only revised from 4.1% to 3.2% (corrected-0.9%). This shows that the Covid 19 pandemic has the least impact on businesses in the agricultural sector so that entrepreneurial opportunities in the agricultural sector are still large. In the Teratai village, Muara Bulian district, Batang Hari Regency, Jambi Province, most of the entrepreneurs owned by the residents are processed agricultural products in the form of snacks such as various cakes, chips, bread, and side dishes. Through community service activities in the form of counseling and assistance for entrepreneurial management, it can encourage people to develop businesses and manage a business with good management. The survey results showed that 66.67% experienced a decrease in demand for products offered during the Covid 19 pandemic and 33.33% demand for products offered remains the same as before the Covid 19 pandemic. The causes of decreased demand among others are a lack of knowledge of changes in consumer behavior, limited space due to the Covid 19 pandemic, and a lack of technological knowledge to market products.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor - faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat produksi padi sawah dan faktor produksi apa yang paling berpengaruh terhadap produksi padi sawah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Simpang Terusan Kecamatan Muara Bulian Kabupaten Batang Hari. Metode ini menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode accidental sampling dengan 40 petani sebagai responden. Variabel yang diukur dalam penelitian ini adalah luas lahan benih pupuk pestisida dan tenaga kerja. Hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa luas lahan benih pupuk pestisida dan tenaga kerja secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap produksi padi sawah dengan nilai f-hitung > f-Tabel (f-hitung 460821 > f-tabel 249) dan luas lahan merupakan faktor  yang paling berpengaruh terhadap produksi padi sawah dengan nilai t hitung 2536> t tabel 203.

Abstract

Kelurahan Teratai berada di tengah kota Kecamatan Muara Bulian Kabupaten Batang Hari. Hampir semua warga di RT 5 terbiasa memnafaatkan lahan pekarangan. Hasil dari kegiatan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan ini dinikmati secara bersam-sama dan tidak dijual. Pola tanam yang mereka lakukan di lahan pekarangan biasanya campuran berbagai jenis tanaman hortikultura. Tanaman yang tumbuh subur tentu dapat memberikan hasil yang diharapkan untuk itu sebagai salah satu yang dapat dijadikan sebagai campuran media tanam di lahan pekarangan adalah bagasse atau ampas tebu. Bagasse atau ampas tebu ini mudah dapat ditemui di sekitar lingkungan tempat tinggal namun belum banyak yang mengetahui jika bagasse dapat dipakai sebagai campuran media tanam. Melalui penyuluhan ini menghasilkan bahwa selama ini Para ibu rumah tangga hanya mengetahui bagasse/ampas tebu mengandung gula, yang sangat baik jika digunakan sebagai bahan campuran pembuatan kompos, dan belum mengetahui kalau ternyata bagasse dapat dipakai sebagai campuran media tanam.

Abstract

Pekarangan rumah terkadang disebut lumbung hidup, warung hidup atau apotik hidup memiliki fungsi multiguna. Warga Kelurahan Teratai khususnya RT 5 sudah melakukan kegiatan pemanfaatan pekarangan. Ada beberapa jenis tanaman yang di tanam di pekarangan, seperti tanaman buah, sayur dan tanaman hias. Vertikultur merupakan usaha pertanian dengan memanfaatkan semaksimal mungkin ruang vertikal dengan cara bertanam tanaman dengan media selain tanah pada bak-bak tanaman yang diatur bertangga (Cascade planting) atau struktur etage bouw. Beberapa jenis sayuran yang dapat ditanam dalam budidaya ini diantaranya Selada, sawi, seledri, bayam dan kangkung. Media tanamnya terdiri dari campuran tanah, pasir dan pupuk kandang atau kompos. Metode yang dilakuan adalah penyuluhan Setelah dilakukan pengabdian yang diikuti oleh 32 orang maka diperoleh hasil bahwa baru sekitar 50% yang mengenal tentang budidaya tanaman secara vertikultur. Adapun jenis tanaman yang dapat dibudidayakan secara vertikultur, 75% para peserta pengabdian mengatakan tanaman sayuran.

Abstract

Pasar Terusan Village has a farmer group that cultivates rice paddy farming. The development of farmer groups is directed at the implementation of the agribusiness system and increasing the participation of farmers to members and to other communities by fostering cooperation between farmers and other parties in developing their farms. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify and analyze factors that influence farmers' perceptions of the role of rice farmer groups in Pasar Terusan Village. Quantitative and qualitative descriptive research methods are used through survey techniques. Descriptive analysis is used through multiple linear regression approaches. The results showed that (1) the influencing factors were Age (X1), Education (X2), land area (X3), length of farming (X4), access to information (X5), member involvement (X6). (2) The result of the Coefficient of Determination (R) Test from multiple linear regression analysis that R is 0.455 or 45.5%, which means that the independent variables in the model are able to explain the dependent variables by 45.5%. The results of Test F show that the independent variables together have a significant effect on the dependent variable. The results of the T Test show that Age (X1), access to information (X5), and member involvement (X6) significantly affect farmers' perceptions of the role of rice farmer groups (Y). INTISARIDesa Pasar Terusan memiliki kelompok tani yang mengusahakan usahatani padi sawah. Pengembangan kelompok tani diarahkan pada penerapan sistem agribisnis dan peningkatan peran serta petani kepada anggota maupun kepada masyarakat lainnya dengan menumbuh kembangkan kerjasama antar petani dengan pihak lain dalam mengembangkan usahataninya. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi persepsi petani terhadap peranan kelompok tani padi sawah di Desa Pasar Terusan. Digunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif melalui teknik survei. Digunakan analisis deskriptif melalui pendekatan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi yaitu Umur (X1), Pendidikan (X2), luas lahan (X3), lamanya berusahatani (X4), akses informasi (X5), keterlibatan anggota (X6). (2) Hasil Uji Koefisien Determinasi (R) dari analisis regresi linier berganda bahwa R  sebesar 0,455 atau 45,5% yang artinya bahwa variabel-variabel independen dalam model mampu menjelaskan variabel –variabel dependent sebesar 45,5%. Hasil Uji F menunjukkan bahwa variabel independent secara bersama-sama berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap variabel dependent. Hasil Uji T menunjukkan bahwa Umur (X1), akses informasi (X5), dan Keterlibatan anggota (X6) mempengaruhi secara signifikasi terhadap persepsi petani terhadap peranan kelompok tani padi sawah (Y).

Abstract

Teratai is one of the villages located in Muara Bulian District, Batang Hari Regency and is in the middle of the city, with diverse residents' livelihoods. Almost all housewives and young women have a hobby of farming around the plot of the house. The resulting plants can be used as a support in meeting the needs of daily life, so as to realize food independence in the family. One alternative is a mixture of planting media is sugarcane bagasse. Sugarcane bagasse contains 52.67% water, 55.89% C-organic, N-total 0.25%, 0.16% P2O5, and 0.38% K2O. The method of activity is in the form of counseling with the aim of introducing bagasse / bagasse which can be used as an alternative mixture of planting media in the plots and the contents contained therein. The results of the activity do not yet know that bagasse / bagasse can be an alternative mixture of media and only know if bagasse contains sugar, and is very good as a compost mixture.

Abstract

The lotus village is located in Muara Bulian District, Batang Hari Regency, Jambi Province. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, the people in Teratai Village also felt panic and anxiety. One of the efforts to overcome this epidemic is by continuing to maintain stamina to stay healthy, one of which is by utilizing ginger-based drinks. Ginger contains bioactives that can function as antioxidants with the active ingredient zingeron which is very beneficial for health. This Community Service aims to introduce various processed drinks with ginger-based ingredients, to help foster interest in home-based businesses that use ginger as a base, as well as provide direction regarding the marketing of home business products during a pandemic. The extension method is carried out to introduce to the public about various preparations with the basic ingredients of ginger. Apart from ginger, it turns out that ginger can be made for Andrek drinks, Ronde, sekoteng and many more. Questionnaire results from 21 respondents showed that the people of Teratai Village were in an effort to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic by always maintaining their health. A business that has been passed down from generation to generation and is still being carried out by making ginger based drinks. However, due to the limitations of knowledge and information, the public only knows ginger, which is a ginger-based product.
