This research focuses on designing an educational application drawing from Passura Toraya Toraja Carvings in Toraja. This Toraja Carvings is crucial in strengthening cultural understanding based on their symbolic meaning embedded in curriculum context in Elementary Schools. In this research, a concept of application design is created to showcase the beauty of Toraja Toraja Carvings. Which can be implemented as a learning tool to support cultural understanding of elementary students. The method of this research is a literature review, by analizing references from Art criticism, Geometry, and Ilustration of Toraja Toraja Carvingss. This research results shows that an educational application with the implementation of Passura Toraya can be applied to education by emphasizing three main points namely; (1) Geometry learning in Arts and Math, both can be applied as a great source of learning in schools; (2) Ilustration of Passura Toraya consists of hundreds of Toraja Carvingss that originally four Toraja Carvingss which later developed as times goes by; (3)Symbolic meaning of Passura Toraya helps understand the meaning of Toraja Culture in Schools. In Designing an educational application, the main crusial aspect of design is creating the core of its application. Therefore, three main objectives are drawn to provide a more comprehensive learning experience in schools integrated with technology. This research does not specifically creating a website, rather designing a concept of a better application for learning in schools.

Abstract

Money plays an important role in daily decision-making, and in today’s challenging financial world, it is essential for young people to become financially literate early. This study explored how financial knowledge and financial attitude relate to the financial behavior of maritime students. A descriptive-correlational research design was used, involving 100 randomly selected maritime students from a private higher education institution in Ozamiz City. Data were gathered using standardized questionnaires on financial knowledge, attitude, and behavior. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and Pearson correlation. Findings showed that the maritime students had very high levels of financial knowledge, attitude, and behavior. However, the results revealed no significant relationship between financial knowledge and behavior, nor between financial attitude and behavior. Although students may be knowledgeable and have positive attitudes toward finance, these do not necessarily translate into consistent financial behavior. Therefore, financial education may not only focus on increasing knowledge and attitude but also on helping students apply these in real-life situations. In this vein, future studies may consider other factors that may influence financial behavior, such as peer influence, family background, or financial stress. Qualitative studies may also offer deeper insights into students’ financial experiences. Students are encouraged to practice simple financial habits like keeping a spending log, setting saving goals, and identifying needs versus wants.

Abstract

This research explores the application of multicultural education principles within Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) curriculum to cultivate tolerance attitudes among fourth-grade students at SDN 011 Lakahang, located in Mamasa Regency, West Sulawesi Province. Employing qualitative descriptive methodology, this investigation examines pedagogical strategies for integrating multicultural values within a predominantly homogeneous educational environment. Data collection utilized in-depth interviews, systematic observations, and comprehensive documentation analysis involving educators, students, families, and community stakeholders. Research outcomes demonstrate that strategic implementation of multicultural education through PPKn instruction effectively promotes tolerance development through diverse pedagogical approaches including content diversification, knowledge construction facilitation, prejudice mitigation, and equitable teaching practices. The investigation identifies implementation challenges including restricted diversity exposure and provides valuable insights regarding factors that influence successful multicultural education delivery in homogeneous educational contexts.
