Abstract

The main objective of this study is to identify and reduce product defects occurring during the production process. Data was collected from January to December 2023, with an initial defect rate of 8.65%, equivalent to 86,500 defects per million opportunities (DPMO). Through the application of the Lean Six Sigma method, the defect rate was successfully reduced to 6.16%, or 61,600 DPMO. The initial Sigma level was 3.82 and increased to 4.10 after improvements. This approach involves several key stages: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC). In the Define stage, the problem is clearly defined, including identifying the most frequent types of defects such as cracks, surface blemishes, and size variations. In the Measure stage, data is collected and analyzed to identify problematic areas, using statistical tools like histograms, Pareto charts, and control charts. In the Analyze stage, an in-depth analysis is conducted to find the root causes of defects through methods like the 5 Why's and fishbone diagram. In the Improve stage, solutions are implemented to address the root causes, such as adjusting machine parameters, retraining employees, and enhancing raw material quality. In the Control stage, steps are taken to ensure that the improvements made can be sustained in the long term by implementing regular monitoring procedures and quality audits. Abstract

PT. Protech Presisi Sukses, a leading manufacturer in the automotive industry, is committed to continuing to make improvements to its production lines to remain competitive. The company aims to increase the productivity of components that contribute to the production process and optimize daily efficiency in each line. The company uses a Just in Time (JIT) production system to ensure timely delivery of spare parts to customers. Overall equipment efficiency (OEE) is critical to identifying and minimizing labor costs in the production process, thereby ensuring maximum productivity. The three components of OEE are Availability, Performance, and Quality. This study analyzes the problem of labor shortages caused by human factors, machines and material damage. To overcome this, the company uses the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) method to measure the efficiency of the entire production line. The research results show that the total productivity of PT. Protech Presisi Sukses in January and June is the same for all production lines. This study identifies productivity problems in all production lines, focusing on the number of employees and the number of working hours. The research results show that the company has a high level of productivity, PT. Protech Presisi Sukses is committed to continuing to make improvements to its production line to meet customer demand and maintain competitiveness.

Abstract

In line with technological advancements and increased consumer expectations, quality has become a key factor in the service industry. PT. XYZ, which operates in the aircraft maintenance field, faces the challenge of reducing defects in the aircraft painting touch-up process. This research aims to reduce these defects using the DMAIC method. The DMAIC phases include define, measure, analyze, improve, and control. In the define phase, it was found that dust defects were the most dominant. Initial measurements showed an average DPMO (defects per million opportunities) of 12,129 and a sigma of 3.773. Analysis using the Ishikawa diagram identified the root causes of the problem, and FMEA helped determine the priority root causes that needed immediate improvement. The main causes of the aircraft paint touch-up defects were material cleaning that left fibers on the surface to be painted, and the spray gun being in an un optimized condition for use. Suggested improvements included procuring the appropriate cleaning materials and implementing a preventive maintenance checklist for the spray gun. The implementation of these improvements showed a reduction in dust defects, with the DPMO dropping to 3,477 and sigma increasing to 4.209. These results demonstrate that the improvements made were effective in reducing defects and enhancing painting quality.Keywords: DPMO, sigma, DMAIC, dust defects, aircraft painting.

Abstract

Lapis Legit Rosalina Cake shop is a cake shop that offers a wide variety of products such as Lapis Legit, Lapis Surabaya, Lapis Taro Bogor, Brownies, Mavin, Banana Cake, Pandan Cake, Ring Cake, Marble Cake, Tigaraksa Cake, Roll Cake, etc. Because of the diversity, many customers shop at the Lapis Legit Rosalina Cake Shop and this will have an impact on consumer loyalty. Consumer satisfaction can be achieved by providing good service quality. Good service quality can make customers feel comfortable and can make customers come back to shop again. However, from initial observations there were several complaints about customer satisfaction with the quality of services and facilities provided. This study aims to determine the level of customer satisfaction with service quality and what factors should be improved. This study took data from 65 respondents, and then performed Service Quality calculations to find out the Gap value, the Gap results were used as input data for Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) which then identified 2 attributes that must be considered in the Cartesian diagram.

Abstract

Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Plan adalah rencana kerja dan program kesehatan, keselamatan kerja dan lingkungan yang akan dilaksanakan oleh mitra kerja selama periode kontrak kerja berlangsung. PT Mulia Graha Abadi sebagai mitra kerja/kontraktor dari PT Pertamina EP Zona 4 dalam menjalankan aktivitas pekerjaan pengadaan jasa perbaikan dan instalasi wellhead lengkap dengan aksesorisnya di PT Pertamina EP Zona 4 wajib menyusun HSSE Plan sebelum pekerjaan dilaksanakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membahas lebih lanjut mengenai dokumen HSSE Plan PT Mulia Graha Abadi yang akan diterapkan pada kontrak pekerjaan  di PT Pertamina EP Zona 4. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Metode ini dipilih dikarenakan penelitian ini hanya menfokuskan pada penyusunan  dokumen HSSE Plan PT Mulia Graha Abadi untuk pekerjaan di PT Pertamina EP Zona 4. Data yang digunakan merupakan gabungan dari dokumen-dokumen, hasil wawancara, serta observasi yang dilakukan oleh peneliti terhadap dokumen HSSE Plan. HSSE Plan PT Mulia Graha Abadi disusun  dalam  8 (delapan) elemen  antara lain: komitmen manjemen;  tujuan kebijakan HSSE dan strategi;  organisasi , tanggung jawab, sumber daya, standar dan dokumentasi; manajemen bahaya dan dampak; perencanaan dan prosedur; implementasi dan pemantauan kinerja; audit dan tinjauan manajemen; dan manajemen K3LL-pencapaian lainnya

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan Sampah Nasional (SIPSN) limbah yang paling banyak di Indonesia adalah limbah makanan sebesar 40,1 %. Upaya pemerintah dalam menangani food waste sudah dilakukan seperti membuat peraturan mengenai sistem pengelolaan pangan dan edukasi agar masyarakat mengonsumsi pangan sesuai yang dibutuhkan dan lain-lain. Salah satu cara mengelola food waste dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi pakan ternak. Forum Kolaborasi & Komunitas Peduli Sampah (FOKKALIS) merupakan organisasi yang terbentuk dari masyarakat yang peduli mengenai sisa makanan. Fokkalis mengelola food waste untuk dijadikan pakan ternak, biogas dan pupuk. Alur pengolahan sisa makanan yang sudah terintegrasi dengan baik namun fokkalis terdapat beberapa menjadi kendala seperti belum memiliki database untuk penerimaan sisa makanan dan produk mereka yang diproduksi belum dapat dijual secara bebas. Sistem informasi diharapkan dapat membantu fokkalis dalam mengelola data dari penerimaan hingga data donatur. Perancangan sistem ini menggunakan metode Design Thinking, yang memiliki tahap Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype dan Testing. Pada tahap testing, penelitian ini menggunakan pengujian usability testing dengan perhitungan system usability scale (SUS) untuk menguji kegunaan prototipe. Hasil pengujian usability testing, pengguna dapat menggunakan dengan waktu rata-rata yaitu 10 menit 27 detik. Skor SUS dari pengujian ini sebesar 69,5 dimana skor ini masuk ke grade “C” dengan tingkat penerimaan tinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pengelolaan persediaan bahan baku kulit pada proses produksi sepatu safety di PT. XYZ menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ). Permasalahan yang dihadapi perusahaan adalah ketidaktepatan dalam jumlah dan frekuensi pemesanan bahan baku yang menyebabkan tingginya biaya persediaan dan risiko kekurangan stok. Dengan menggunakan data kebutuhan tahunan sebesar 2.015.853 Ft², biaya pemesanan, serta biaya penyimpanan tahunan, dilakukan perhitungan EOQ untuk menentukan jumlah pemesanan optimal. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa jumlah pemesanan yang efisien adalah sebesar 63.496 Ft² per order dengan frekuensi pemesanan sebanyak 32 kali dalam setahun. Total biaya persediaan (Total Inventory Cost) dapat ditekan hingga Rp 95.244.780. Selain itu, perhitungan Safety Stock sebesar 7.995 Ft² dan Reorder Point sebesar 38.160 Ft² disusun untuk mengantisipasi ketidakpastian permintaan dan waktu tunggu pengadaan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa metode EOQ efektif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan persediaan bahan baku serta menjaga kesinambungan produksi. Kata kunci: Economic Order Quantity, persediaan, bahan baku kulit, safety stock, reorder point

Abstract

This study aims to analyze sales improvement strategies for the Ma’e micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME), which specializes in ayam geprek (smashed fried chicken) and is located in Cadasari Village, Pandeglang Regency, Banten. The approach used in this research is the SWOT method (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats), which helps identify internal strengths and weaknesses as well as external opportunities and threats faced by Ma’e. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with the business owner, and customer questionnaires. Based on the SWOT analysis, the X axis score = 3,75 and the Y value = 8,75 from the score results, the position of the MSME is in quadrant I, then the trading strategy is aggressive. The formulation of strategies that can be applied by MSME Ma'e optimizes potential and increases sales. This study is expected to be a reference in making strategic decisions for similar MSME managers in increasing competitiveness and sales.
