Abstract

Complete basic immunization is an effective preventive measure to reduce morbidity and mortality from vaccine-preventable diseases. However, many infants and toddlers still miss complete immunization, often due to a lack of knowledge and awareness among parents. This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and understanding of pregnant women, mothers with infants and toddlers, and caregivers about the importance of complete basic immunization. The activity was carried out at the Mitra Ananda Clinic in Palembang through education methods such as counseling, interactive discussions, and the distribution of educational media. A total of 33 participants, consisting of pregnant women and mothers with infants and toddlers, attended the session. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test questionnaires to assess changes in the participants' knowledge. The results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge about the types, schedule, and benefits of complete basic immunization. Participants also demonstrated a positive attitude and commitment to ensuring that their children receive immunization according to the schedule. This activity is expected to contribute to the improvement of complete immunization coverage and help prevent diseases that can be avoided through vaccination

Abstract

Elderly (elderly) is a stage of life in which a person experiences a decline in body function, both physically, mentally, and socially. These changes impact the body's ability to digest and absorb nutrients, so that the elderly are at risk of experiencing various nutritional problems. Decreased food intake can cause nutritional deficiencies, which result in impaired health status and general problems associated with aging. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge and awareness of the elderly about the importance of fulfilling a balanced diet in maintaining health, preventing disease and maintaining quality of life in old age. The method used in this community service activity began with an opening and introduction of the speakers, then continued with the delivery of health education materials, a question and answer session with participants and finally a closing. Through this activity there is an increase in the elderly's knowledge about the importance of balanced nutrition and encourages the elderly to be more concerned with diet, fluid intake and healthy lifestyle habits.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that impacts physical growth, cognitive development, and the quality of human resources. The high prevalence of stunting in Grobogan Regency requires innovative and sustainable community-based interventions. One preventative measure is through the provision of supplementary feeding (PMT) based on local foods with high animal protein content. This activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of mothers of toddlers regarding the importance of animal protein intake through the PMT innovation "MAKCETING (Food to Prevent Stunting)" with the Hidden Egg food product. The method used was education and reflection on PMT making for PKK members in Dorolegi Village, Godong District, Grobogan Regency, which involved 100 participants and was implemented by KKN (Community Services Program) students from An Nuur University Purwodadi. The product was developed from chicken meat, quail eggs, and carrots. The results of the activity showed a positive response, high enthusiasm, and increased understanding of participants regarding the importance of animal protein in preventing stunting.

Abstract

Child development can be disrupted and pose a risk of long-term problems such as speech disorders, motor delays, or behavioral disorders. Therefore, a health service capable of conducting regular monitoring and providing education to parents is needed to ensure children's nutritional and stimulation needs are met. Integrated Health Posts (Posyandu) serve as community-based health service providers that help detect growth and developmental abnormalities early and provide early intervention before more serious disorders occur. To address this, the Indonesian Ministry of Health introduced the Pre-Screening Development Questionnaire (KPSP) as a simple tool for health workers and Posyandu cadres. Recognizing the importance of child development screening, the team conducted a community service project titled "Child Development Screening through KPSP at Seruni 8 Posyandu in the Tondano Community Health Center Area of Pekalongan City." The program included counseling on the Development Monitoring program through KPSP, Child Development Screening with KPSP, and Child Growth and Development Monitoring. Evaluation results showed a 35% increase in mothers' knowledge about Child Development Screening through KPSP.

Abstract

Indonesia currently has the second-highest number of TB cases in the world, ranking second. The highest number of TB cases is reported from provinces with large populations, namely West Java, East Java, and Central Java. Depok City is one of the contributors to the TB burden in West Java. Based on the estimated TB burden data for the entire West Java Province, Depok City ranks 7th with an estimated 3,853 cases. Video Directly Observed Therapy (VDOT) is a technique that uses video monitoring to ensure that patients take their medication as prescribed; this strategy is considered more effective than directly observed therapy. This study uses a quasi-experimental design. This community service activity was conducted in Depok City in May 2025. The number of participants in this activity was 30 respondents, divided into an intervention group of 15 people and a control group of 15 people. The intervention group was monitored through video directly observed therapy for 8 weeks, while the control group underwent conventional monitoring. Data were collected through questionnaires. The study results showed that directly observed therapy education was effective in improving tuberculosis treatment (p value = 0.000).
