Abstract

The creation of television documentary production “Bingkai Inspirasi” edition of “Menerjang Batas, Sang Disabilitas” was motivated by a sense of concern for people with disabilities who are often considered helpless and marginalized from social interactions in society. Triyono is an empowered person with disabilities who succeeded in building Difa Bike, an online motorbike taxi specifically for disabilities to help accessibility of transportation for people with disabilities. The author used observation and interview methods to collect data related to Triyono's life story. To support more in-depth data collection, the author also took a subject approach to the sources persons by combining interpersonal communication and non-verbal communication, through persuasive techniques and passive participant observation. The subject approach to the source persons aims to generate emotional closeness, so that the source persons is more comfortable and confident in telling their life story. The subject approach was successfully applied at every stage of production, thus resulting in a portrait documentary work with a story line, and an interesting visual combination. This work could inspire, motivate and arouse the hearts of the audience.

Abstract

The television drama “Kuwi Nggonku” is an interesting drama show. This drama applies image continuity in several scenes. There are four types of continuity, namely Content Continuity, Movement Continuity, Position Continuity, and Dialogue Continuity. The television drama “Kuwi Nggonku” tells the story of social conflicts that exist in society, specifically regarding the orderliness in the cleanliness of public toilets. In creating this production work, the method used is 3 stages of production, namely pre-production, production, and post-production (including evaluation). The implementation of image continuity in the television drama Kuwi Nggonku aims to maintain image balance so that it does not jump and convey the character's mood well, supported by cut in and cut away editing techniques. The implementation of image continuity in this production results ; Continuity in the production of “Kuwi Nggonku” makes it easier for the audience to understand the story line, Continuity of the images also supports strengthening the conflict of the story being created, the more the continuity of the images is maintained, the more it will support the audience to be able to focus on the conflict.

Abstract

Animated films have various assets and products. The principle in the creative economy is to protect and empower each asset for business purposes. The problem that arises is how to map assets in animated films so that they are eligible to be registered for copyright protection. The purpose of the study is to map assets in an animated production for copyright protection. The research method is qualitative descriptive and literature study to map assets in animated films. The discussion shows that animated films can be mapped based on ideas and concepts that appear in assets and products. Assets are the values ​​contained in a product, while products are the embodiment of concepts. Assets are in the form of story ideas, synopses, loglines. Products are in the form of scripts, character designs, audio. The conclusion shows that assets and products are intellectual property so they need to be protected by their creators as a form of empowerment of the creative economy.

Abstract

This study analyzes the coverage of a mutilation case in Surabaya that befell a woman as part of the phenomenon of femicide in Indonesia. Using a narrative analysis approach, this study examines how Kompas.id constructs narratives, representations of victims and perpetrators, and the framing patterns used. The results show that the media emphasizes sensational aspects and details of violence rather than structural explanations of the roots of gender-based violence. Victims are often reduced to mere objects of news coverage, while perpetrators are described through psychological narratives that obscure the patriarchal dimension of femicide. These findings indicate the persistence of patriarchal discourse in mainstream media in Indonesia. This research contributes to feminist media studies by emphasizing the framing of femicide as a structural issue closely related to gender inequality, rather than merely individual criminal cases.

Abstract

Wondr is a digital innovation developed by Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) aimed at the younger generation through a mobile-first, interactive, and lifestyle-based design approach. However, during its initial launch, the application received numerous user complaints regarding frequent errors, which negatively affected its rating. This raises the question of how usability influences user satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the effect of usability of the Wondr by BNI application on user satisfaction, with a focus on active university students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 100 respondents determined through the Yamane formula. The usability variable was measured based on Quesenbery’s indicators, namely effective, efficient, engaging, error tolerant, and easy to learn. Data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, descriptive statistics, and simple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 30. The findings indicate that the usability of the Wondr application falls into the “Good” category, while user satisfaction is also categorized as “Good”. Regression analysis demonstrates that usability has a positive and significant effect on user satisfaction, with a significance value of < 0.001 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.529. Based on these results, it is recommended that BNI, as the developer, enhance the quality of onboarding and user guidance, particularly for new users. Future research on this topic is advised to adopt a broader approach, such as mixed methods or qualitative designs, to gain deeper insights into users’ subjective experiences.

Abstract

Animation is a moving image formed from a series of arranged images. In creating animation, there are 12 principles to make the animation look more realistic and interesting. These 12 principles of animation were developed by Disney animators Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston in 1981. In this study, we will observe how the 12 principles of animation are applied in the animated film “Battle of Surabaya” to determine how effective these principles are in making animation more realistic. The purpose of this study is to explain the application of the 12 principles of animation in scenes from the animated film “Battle of Surabaya.” The qualitative descriptive method was used in this study, employing visual observation, literature study, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results of this study show that the application of the 12 principles of animation in the animated film “Battle of Surabaya” has been proven to improve the quality of the animation and make the film feel more realistic, thereby achieving more interesting results.

Abstract

The preservation of local history in the digital era requires innovative and interesting media, especially for the younger generation. This study documents the process of designing and producing a 3D animated film entitled "The Origin of the City of Banjarmasin" using Blender software. The project development method includes four main stages: historical exploration, pre-production, production, and post-production. The project produced a short animated film consisting of four key scenes that represent the thematic narrative of Banjarmasin's history, starting from life in a river village to its evolution into a modern city. In production, a hybrid approach is used by combining manual 3D modeling and the utilization of asset templates from open source for efficiency. The results of this project show that Blender is an effective tool for creatively visualizing historical content. 3D animation has proven to have strong potential as an educational medium to revitalize and convey local cultural heritage visually, interactively, and attractively to the digital generation. Three-dimensional visualization allows audiences to experience the historical atmosphere more deeply than conventional media, while opening up more engaging and memorable learning opportunities.
