Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of reading text or speech literacy on speaking skills in speech and the results of students' speaking skills in speech text material in Indonesian subjects. This research is a quantitative research, this research is focused on reading literacy which is related to the speaking skills of students in speech text material, along with the factors that influence these two things. The research data was taken in June 2021. The research data was obtained using two techniques in two classes, the experimental class using the practical method and for the control class using the lecture method. The research data was then calculated using SPSS 16 to determine whether the data taken in the experimental and control classes had an effect on students or not. The results of the first study were using pre-test data and for the second research results, namely post-test data. From these data, researchers can conclude the results that have been obtained in carrying out the practice of giving speeches in class..

Abstract

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ENGLISH SPEAKING ACTIVITIES ON STUDENTS AT MODERN AL-FURQON ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL, PANARAGAN JAYA, TULANG BAWANG BARAT Firda Maharani AneskiUniversitas Islam Negeri Raden Intan Lampung, Indonesia Abstract : Speaking is one of the skill used in communication. This skill can be developed through various activities related to producing oral language. Islamic boarding school is one the institution which allow priority in speaking activities that support the speaking skill.This study focused on the implementation of speaking activities at Modern Al Furqon Islamic Boarding School. The objective of this research was to find out and describe the implementation of speaking activities and enhancement students in English. This is descriptive qualitative research. The intermediate class selected to determine the sample that consisted of 15 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used field notes, interview, documentation and questionnaire. The researcher used three major phases of data analysis: they were data condensation, data display, and drawing and verifying conclusions. From data analysis, the researcher describes the implementation of speaking activities and based on the routines speaking activities made the students increasing speaking skill. Abstract

language skills are the main capital in writing skills. The writing ability of university students is the basic for language skills to the next level or level. The ability to use correct spelling is one of the important things in writing skills. The research design used a qualitative descriptive approach, because this study aims to describe the use of punctuation in writing explanatory texts for 2nd semester 4th grade students of the S1 Nursing Study Program, STIKES Bina Sehat PPNI Mojokerto. This study is intended to collect data, manage data, analyze data and present data objectively regarding the object of research, namely the use of punctuation in writing explanatory texts for level 2 semester 4 of the S1 Nursing Study Program, STIKES Bina Sehat PPNI Mojokerto. Based on the result The total number of punctuation errors as many as 207 out of 45 students writing explanatory texts shows that the intensity of punctuation errors is still high enough so that improvements and improvements are needed in the learning process.

Abstract

Proses penyampaian pesan secara tertulis merupakan salah satu dasar yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan ide dan informasi. Peran guru sangat penting dalam mendorong siswa untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar, khususnya dalam keterampilan literasi. Perlu adanya upaya untuk membantu dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan digital media sebagai salah satu sumber belajar efektif. Melalui digital media ini dapat membantu guru dan siswa dalam mengakses informasi secara fleksibel, serta harus mampu untuk mengikuti perkembangan teknologi yang berkembang pesat saat ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu descriptive qualitative analysis. Lalu hasil penelitian tersebut dianalisis dengan menggunakan model analisis interaktif untuk memperoleh data yang akan disajakin dengan menggunakan pedoman wawancara sebagai instrumen penelitian ini. Proses pembelajaran online learning merupakan salah satu transisi ketika pandemic Covid-19. Sehingga digital media yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan materi dapat berlangsung secara efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi siswa dalam pembelajaran agar dapat berjalan sesuai tujuan pendidikan. The process of delivering messages in writing is one of the basics used to convey ideas and information. The teacher's role is very important in encouraging students to increase learning motivation, especially in literacy skills. There needs to be an effort to assist in the learning process by using digital media as an effective learning resource. This digital media can help teachers and students access information flexibly, and must be able to keep up with today's rapidly developing technological developments. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis. Then the results of the study were analyzed using interactive model analysis to obtain data to be studied using an interview guide as the instrument of this research. The online learning process is one of the transitions that need during the Covid-19 pandemic. So that digital media used to deliver material can take place effectively to improve students' literacy in learning so that it can run according to educational goals.

Abstract

This research was conducted because of the high level of challenges and problems faced by the English teachers and their students during implementing learner-centered instruction paradigm. This research aims at analyzing the causes of any difficulties faced by the English and the students when they impellemented LCI in their English class. The researcg was qualitative research by using observation and interview as the instruments of the research. The research involved English teacher s and the students in one of Islamic senior high school in Solok region. Based on analyzing the data, it was found that there have been several causes why the teachers and students got difficulties in implementing LCI in their class, such as the lack of training got by the English teachers, school regulation related to the capacity of students in one class and students’ perception which was still highly depend on teachers in their learning process.
