Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to calculate the crosslink score in concept map through the implementation of instructional technique formed as teacher’s questions in the stage of study group the way of collecting data and data analysis in project-based learning. This research was a classroom action research with the research subject of 34 students in X MIPA of Senior High School. The research procedure was including: planning, lesson plan completed with assessment, acting, observing and reflecting.  The validity test was using triangulation method that consisted of verification to the crosslink in concept map using expert concept mam, documentation of the concept map made by the students and interview to present the understanding of relation between concepts that had a different hierarchy and students’ creativity. The data collection was using concept map in the end of the lesson. Data reduction used to choose the data completion, data interpretation and conclusion based on the complete crosslink score. Data analysis was using descriptive-qualitative. The result of this research shows that crosslink score improves in every cycle. The average of crosslink score in pre-research to cycle II were 0,269%; 5,1470% dan 18,043%. So, the use of instructional technique as teacher’s questions in the stages of deciding the study group the way of collecting data and data analysis improving crosslink score in concept map individually and classically.

Abstract

Sebuah penelitian eksperimen semu dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI IPA SMA multietnis di kota Samarinda. Penelitian ditujukan untuk  mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran, etnis, dan interaksi strategi pembelajaran-etnis terhadap sikap sosial siswa. Strategi pembelajaran meliputi  Cooperative Script  (CS),  Think Pair Share  (TPS),  CS+TPS, dan pembelajaran konvensional. Sementara itu, etnis terdiri dari etnis Jawa, Bugis, Banjar, dan Kutai. Penelitian dilakukan selama semester ganjil, tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Enam kelas yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah setara berdasarkan skor Ujian Akhir Nasional. Analisis data menggunakan ancova faktorial  pada taraf signikansi 5% (p<0,05). Berkaitan dengan interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan etnis, hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa interaksi berpengaruh terhadap sikap sosial; sikap sosial pada  kombinasi  TPS+CS  Kutai tertinggi, yaitu 39,9% lebih tinggi dari sikap sosial pada  kombinasi pembelajaran konvensional Jawa (terendah). Penelitian sejenis perlu dilakukan di masa yang akan datang disamping untuk mendapatkan informasi lebih. Kata Kunci: Cooperative Script, Think-Pair-Share, Sikap Sosial, IPA-Biologi, Siswa multietnis

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA di SMP N 4 Bojong masih belum diminati oleh para siswa sehingga menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa dibawah KKM. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII A melalui penerapan metode eksperimen terbimbing pada materi zat aditif dalam makanan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah model tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIIA SMP 4 Bojong  tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 34 orang.  Penelitian dilakukan dengan 2 siklus.Siklus pertama menggunakan materi zat aditif makanan alami dan modern, siklus ke-2 menggunakan materi zat aditif makanan dalam kemasan. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan angket minat belajar siswa,  lembar observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata rata skor pada siklus ke dua lebih besar dari rata rata skorpada siklus pertama,dengan peningkatan minat belajar pada siklus ke pertama sebesar 41,18% sedangkan siklus ke dua 52,94%.  Sedangkan untuk perbandingan hasil belajar yang dicapai untuk siklus pertama sebesar 61,77% dan siklus ke dua 85,30%, dengan  peningkatan rata-rata yang diperoleh dari siklusn I dan siklus II adalah 67,8  menjadi 76,02. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode eksperimen terbimbing pada materi pembelajaran zat aditif pada makanan dapat meningkatkan minat belajar dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII A di SMP 4 Bojong. Kata kunci : minat dan hasil belajar, eksperimen terbimbing

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to improve the ability of critical thinking and reduce misconception of X-MIA 1 SMA Negeri Banyudono academic year of 2014/2015 through the implementation of e-module based on Problem-Based Learning. This research was a class action research conducted in two cycles. Every cycle consists of 4 stages, namely: planning, action, observing, and reflecting. The data of this research was obtained from observation and test. This research was descriptive qualitative. There were three analysis components: data reduction, data presentation, and taking the conclusion. Data validation of this research was triangulation method. This research used spiral model that adopted from Kemmis and Mc Taggart respectively. The results of this research showed an improvement of analytical thinking ability, they were 32% in indentifying an important aspect, 32% in figuring the series of process, 29% in the aspect data analysis, and 31% in the aspect of interpretation. On the other side, the results of this research showed the decreasing of student’s misconceptions, they were 39% in attribute concept of population, 40% in attribute concept in community, 31% in the concept of food chain and web, and 26% in the ecology concept in science, environment, technology and community (salingtemas). The conclusion of this research was the implemetation of e-module based on Problem-Based Learning was able to improve the ability of critical thinking and reduce misconception of X of MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Banyudono in academic year of 2014/2015.Keywords: E-module based on Problem-Based Learning, analytical thinking, misconception

Abstract

Abstract- Mangrove at Gili Sulat is the important ecosystems that support the lives of  many  wildlife species, one  of  which is species of  birds. Birds use the mangroves  as searching of  food, playing, searching  for  mates,  and  nesting. The aim of  the research is to determine the diversity of  birds species  in  the mangrove area at  Gili Sulat East Lombok. The study was conducted  by observations species of  birds through surveys (direct observation) using binoculars and use the boat (during water conditions  high tide). The result of  this research have found nine species of  birds, consisting  of  four  species  of  water birds (Actitis hypoleucos, Butorides striatus, Chlidonias hibridus, and Egretta Garzetta) and five species  of  birds  terrestrial  (Lalage sueurii, Linkmera lombokia, Nectarinia jugularis, Merops ornatus, and  Zosterops  palpebrosus) .Keywords:  Birds,  Mangroves,  Gili Sulat, East Lombok

Abstract

Kenyataan permasalahan yang dialami guru terkait pemanfaatan media pembelajaran dalam pembelajaran IPA Biologi di SMP adalah minimnya pemahaman guru dan rendahnya kreativitas guru untuk memanfaatkan media lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar. Akibatnya bermasalah pada hasil belajar siswa yakni tidak memiliki kemampuan untuk mentransfer konsep yang telah dipelajari dalam pemecahan permasalahan kehidupan sehari-hari. Secara khusus tujuan penelitian ini untuk memecahkan permasalahan yang dihadapi guru dengan mengembangkan paket media pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan yang ditujukan untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam kehidupan terkait konsep IPA Biologi di kelas VII SMP. Metode penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan Dick & Carey dengan tahapan: 1) Penetapan materi dan standar kompetensi, 2) Analisis kebutuhan, 3) Pengembangan perangkat media pembelajaran, yang terdiri dari RPP, Lembar Observasi, Rubrik Penilaian, LKS, serta Media Berbasis Lingkungan, 4) Validasi ahli, dan 5) Uji coba perangkat, yakni uji coba lapangan terbatas. Hasil uji coba lapangan terbatas dengan menggunakan persentase pencapaian kemampuan siswa memecahkan permasalahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari terkait konsep Biologi menunjukkan hasil yang baik. Abstract

Learning in the SMP Pawyatan Daha 2 Kediri with multistrategi. This condition causes the social interaction of students, students' awareness in solving the problem and apply the concepts learned in the real world are underdeveloped. In response to these problems applied learning model based PBL local materials. The expected application of the model is more active students to inquire and interact actively to the problems around them, causing a deep impression in learning. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of PBL model’s local materials based to metacognition skills, inquiry skills and social skills and eighth grade students of SMP Pawiyatan Daha 2 Kediri. This study is a quasi experimental design with non-equivalent control group design that uses the class as a control (multistrategi) and one class as the experiment (PBL). Used several instruments to support this research that metacognition skills measurement using metacognition skills assessment rubric in the form of pretest and posttest are integrated on cognitive achievement test, measuring inquiry skills such as observation sheets, measuring social skills of students in the form of a questionnaire. Data metacognition skills and inquiry skills were tabulated and analyzed using SPSS 16 for windows parametric t-test analysis and social skills using descriptive analysis. This study shows that: (1) there are differences posttest in metacognition skills in the experimental class and control class (t.hit = 2.501> 2.00665), (2) with a control group of inquiry skills experiment (t.hit = 3.130> 2.00665), (3) social skills showed that the experimental class better than the control class. It was concluded that the model PBL locally based material (utilizing the materials and tools around the student) is effective for improving metacognition skills, inquiry skills and social skills class VIII SMP Pawyatan Daha 2 Kediri.Keywords: Problem-based learning, metacognition skills, inquiry skills, social skills

Abstract

Physic nut (Jatropha curcas L.) is a potential plant for biofuels production. The objectives of this study was to analyze seedling growth response to application of biofertilizer during seedling establishment. The experiment were carried out in green house used Block Randomized Design with two factor and three replication. The first factor was four plant accessions i.e S1, J2, JB, and B3. The second factor was fertilizer treatment i.e with and without NPK at recommended rate, 36 g of AMF, and 30 g of PGPR. The result of this experiment indicated that the AMF and PGPR application increased vegetative growth and nutrient uptake of physic nut seedling.  Key words: Jatropha Curcas L., Biofertilizer

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penentuan umur protokorm sebagai inokulum merupakan faktor yang penting dalam keberhasilan transformasi dan regenerasi transforman. Dalam penelitian ini telah dilakukan transformasi gen pada protokorm anggrek Phalaenopsis amabilis umur 1 minggu, 2 minggu, 3 minggu dan 4 minggu setelah penaburan biji. Transformasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain LBA4404 yang membawa vector pBI121 dengan T-DNA pembawa gen resisten terhadap kanamisin dan gen GFP dikontrol dengan promoter konstitutif 35S. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inokulum protokorm umur 3 minggu memberikan hasil efisiensi transformasi paling tinggi yaitu 15,079%. Dengan demikian protokorm umur 3 minggu setelah penaburan merupakan inokulum terbaik yang dapat digunakan dalam transformasi genetik pada Anggrek Phalaenopsis amabilis..   Kata Kunci: protokorm, Phalaenopsis amabilis, inokulum, transformasi genetik, Agrobacterium tumefaciens.

Abstract

At recent days, the growth of vehicle is increasing rapidly due to the increase of human activities itself. People from any social classes are able to choose what kind to transportation they prefer especially in a big industrial city, and Semarang city is no exception. Located in the central java province this (305 km2) city is one of the big city in Indonesia with the population of approximately (1.5 million) people and every single one of those people spending the day on the street consuming the gasoline for their vehicles in the balance of the high volume of vehicle such as cars & motor cycle & truck & bus & taxi an such has increased frequently in Semarang city.The current research will be done in the city of Semarang where the number of gas station is overflowing due to the vehicles in the area. In order to determine the phenomenon of which hydrocarbon fumes from vehicle fuelling can contaminate the soil and groundwater and run off into the sewers as well as it’s impact to the biological surrounding including human. Gas station workers who work near volatile organic compounds (VOCs) sources, such as gasoline vapor emissions, and motor vehicle exhausts, may be exposed to highly elevated VOCs levels. This study investigates air samples from gas service stations in Semarang to evaluate the health risks following inhalation exposure. The samples will be obtained at some of the gas station in Semarang area. The concentrations of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, and hexane in the air from the workplaces were significantly higher than in a control group of office workers.The lifetime cancer and noncancer risks for the workers exposed to VOCs were also assessed. Benzene may the most important cause of both cancer and noncancer risk followed by 1,3 butadiene.An exploratory analysis using multivariate techniques will also be done to begin to understand how this phenomenon occurs and will be used to accurately assess just how much and how gas station affects it is environmental surrounding. These results will be part to the empirical evidence needed to evaluate the current status of ecological impact models. With improvements in impact models and better understanding of the ecological processes recommendation can be made for more precise prediction assessment and management of pollution as well as improved recovery of processes to facilitate easier restoration and recovery.
