Abstract

The increasing number of motorcycle will increase the air polution. For about 2900 motorcycles have increased in Blitar. Such the negative impact of the lead (Pb) was put out by vehicle’s gas emission toward human health, it needs an action to reduce Pb from the air, by utilizing the plants which can absorb Pb. The purposes of this research are to analyze the differences of the Pb contents on the Samanea saman and Tamarindus indica leaves at the street of Pojok, Sumberdiren, Bence, and Slorok and make the correlations between traffic jam and the number of stomata due to the content of Pb.This research was located in Garum Blitar on May 2015. The researcher measured the lead content in sample by using AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry) through camouflage method. The calculation of the traffic jam used the handtaly couter. Mean while the number of stomata’s calculation was done directly by using a microscope binokuler Olympus CX21LED.The result showed that the content of Pb in Samanea saman leaves in Pojok, Sumberdiren, Bence, and Slorok were 3,24-0,76 ppm and the lead content on the Tamarindus indica leaves were 0,73-0,69 ppm. In conclusion the researcher find that much more lead were found in Samanea saman leaves. Based on the correlation test there is strong correlation in the number of pb with traffic jam and the number of stomata.Keywords:  motorcycles, lead (Pb), Samanea saman, Tamarindus indica, traffic jam

Abstract

Objectives of research are to know increasing of professional, pedagogic, personality, and social competencies biology teacher by planning, implementing, and evaluating of learning process. Sample of research that involved in house training (IHT) is biology teacher and student at five Junior High Schools in Bangka Province. The research used Method of evaluation training program “Kirpatrick Model” that consists of four stages such as (1) Reaction, (2) Learning, (3) Behavior, and (4) Result. Findings of research are (1) teachers were satisfied toward IHT implementation; (2) IHT program could not enhance cognitive both teacher and student;  (3) there was no change regarding of teacher attitude change such as late in coming to teach and teacher did not do classroom action research and lesson study. The IHT had not enhanced professional teacher competencies especially promoting knowledge, doing research, writing academic manuscript, and developing of professional; and (4) There was no significant effect toward performance of participant IHT. The research concluded that IHT program was not success in increasing; teacher knowledge that related their subjects, teacher ability in research, teacher ability in writing, and teacher professional development. Abstract

Abstrak - Minuman kopi merupakan minuman favorit baik masyarakat Indonesia maupun Dunia, namun tingginya kafein yang terkandung, sangat berbahaya bagi orang penderita kolesterol, maka salah satu solusi dengan minuman kopi non kafein dari Petai cina, yang berpotensi untuk diolah sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan minuman kopi non kafein. Aroma yang kurang sedap dari petai cina, maka ditambah dengan jahe dan ketan hitam, yang selanjutnya disebut minuman kopi non kafein “jaketam”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui daya terima panelis terhadap minuman kopi non kafein jaketam dari bahan dasar petai cina dengan penambahan ketan hitam dan jahe sebagai aroma, (2) mengetahui konsentrasi optimal petai cina untuk minuman kopi non kafein jaketam yang paling disukai oleh panelis (3) mengetahui perbedaan kualitas kopi non kafein jaketam antar perlakuan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) 1 faktor, yaitu konsentrasi petai cina menggunakan lima perlakuan (0, 2, 4, 6 dan 8 g) dengan penambahan campuran ketan hitam dan jahe (1:1) sebanyak 2 g. Selanjutnya Data dianalisis menggunakan one way anava. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi optimal petai cina untuk minuman kopi non kafein yang paling disukai oleh panelis dengan daya terima tertinggi 88%. Konsentrasi optimal yang paling disukai dengai petai cina sebanyak 2 g dengan penambahan Jaketam 1:1. Dan kualitas  minuman non kafein produk terpilih untuk rasa 3,56 (sangat enak); aroma 3,32 (sedap); warna 2,8 (hitam) dan tekstur 4,0 (halus). Simpulan, bahwa minuman kopi non kafein dari bahan dasar petai cina dapat diterima, dan dapat untuk peningkatan kesehatan. Kata kunci :kopi non kafein, petai cina, ketan hitam, jahe

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBM) dengan menggunakan LK terbimbing dengan LK bebas termodifikasi, KPS, kemampuan berpikir analitis dan interaksinya terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik. Menggunakan metode eksperimen desain anava tiga jalan 2 x 2 x 2, data diolah menggunakan bantuan Software SPSS 18. Subjek penelitian peserta didik kelas VIII, SMPN I Kapas, Kab. Bojonegoro Jawa Timur semester genap tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Hasil penelitian didapatkan; 1) ada pengaruh penggunaan LK terbimbing dengan LK bebas termodifikasi terhadap prestasi belajar; 2) ada pengaruh keterampilan proses sains terhadap prestasi belajar; 3) ada pengaruh antara kemampuan berpikir analitis terhadap prestasi belajar;  4) ada interaksi antara penggunaan jenis LK (terbimbing dan bebas termodifikasi) dengan keterampilan proses sains terhadap prestasi belajar; 5) tidak ada interaksi antara penggunaan jenis LK (terbimbing dan bebas termodifikasi) dengan kemampuan berpikir analitis terhadap prestasi belajar;  6) ada interaksi antara keterampilan proses sains dan kemampuan berpikir analitis  terhadap prestasi belajar; 7) tidak ada interaksi antara penggunaan jenis LK dengan keterampilan proses sains  dan kemampuan berpikir analitis terhadap prestasi belajar.   Kata kunci:  Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBM), lembar kerja terbimbing, lembar kerja bebas termodifikasi, keterampilan proses sains, kemampuan berpikir analitis.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the curiosity of students through the implementation of guided inquiry learning biology class XI IPA SMA Al Muayyad Surakarta academic year 2014/2015. This research is a class action research which consists of three cycles. Each cycle contains planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The subjects were students of class XI SMA Al Muayyad which consisting of 15 male students and 13 female students. The data collecting techniques of this research was observation, interview, and questionnaires about the curiosity of students. Data validation was triangulation techniques. Data was analysed by qualitative descriptive analysis technique that consists of three components, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Research procedures using spiral method. The indicators curiosity of students was interested attitude toward discussion of a matter, trying to overcome the problems and events, asking teacher and friends, participate actively in discussions, and seek information from various sources. The results show that the average percentage of achievement indicators curiosity of students based on data analysis pre-cycle are 32%, first cycle are 57%, second cycle are 70%, and third cycle are 72%. This research’s conclusion is the implementation of guided inquiry can improve the curiosity of students in biology class XI IPA SMA Al Muayyad Surakarta school academic year 2014/2015.Keywords: guided inquiry, curiosity

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui scale up produksi biogas dari limbah peternakan ayam dengan penambahan eceng gondok pada perombakan anaerob sistem kontinyu. Kotoran ayam digunakan sebagai sumber inokulum dalam digester anaerob (5 L) dengan substrat campuran limbah peternakan ayam dan eceng gondok dengan pengenceran berbanding 1 : 1, dan 1:3, dan scale up dalam volume kerja digester anaerob 1600 L sistem kontinyu. Pada biodigester anaerob sistem kontinyu dan agitasi 8 kali perhari diukur produksi biogas setiap hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses perombakan anaerob limbah peternakan ayam dan eceng  gondok terbaik adalah pengenceran 1:1 dan  scale up produksi biogas secara kontinyu sebesar 490 L/hari  Kata kunci : digester anaerob sistem kontinyu, kapasitas 2 m3, rasio C/N. biogas

Abstract

The study entitled  Development of Self Instructional Natural Science locally Based Encyclopedia for SD/MI Students was done considering the development of innovative teaching materials still draw little attention. The development could increase  teacher quality in teacing science. This research belong to research & development category with ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development & Production, Implementation, Evaluation) . The study was conducted in January-April 2013 in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Tempel, Sleman. A set of questionnaire sheet were used to get an assessment of students understanding of learning , independent learning, active learning, interests, and the use of encyclopedias. Data covering eight aspects of the 29 assessment criteria. Data analysis was carried out to see the value of each aspect or descriptor in the questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by calculating the mean score obtained. Development of Self Instructional Natural Science locally-Based Encyclopedia produce Encyclopedia of bird species in some areas of Yogyakarta namely: Gembiraloka zoo, cagar alam Gunung Gamping, suaka marga satwa Paliyan, dan cagar alam Imogiri. Assessment from reviewers, peer reviewers, and teachers reveal that the quality of the encyclopedia is very good. Student assessment indicates that the quality of the encyclopedia also very good. Such also whole aspect percentage 93,79 % are very good category. Student evaluation showed Integrated IPAs encyclopaedia quality in very good category. And also Integrated IPAs encyclopaedia based on student response have 89,72%.Keywords:  Encyclopedia, Natural Sciences, locally-based, elementary school/MI.

Abstract

Asking skill is a verbal greeting to stimulate students and increase thinking ability. The purpose of the research was to find out the skills of biology teachers of Muhammadiyah Senior High School  based on 2013 curriculum  in Klaten Regency academic year 2014/2015. This research was a descriptive qualitative research. Data analyzed by descriptive statistics. Observation and interview in 4 Senior High School Muhammadiyah were used to collect the data. The results showed the ability of asking skill in two categories. The average result of observation of overall category is 50.86%. The results of A teacher (47.97%), B teacher 54,91(%), C teacher (52.38%), and D teacher (57,07%). The result from interview are 58,33% teachers very well ask skills and 16.67% quite well.Keywords: Asking ability, types of questions

Abstract

Abstract- This study has the scope Mapping diversity Phaseolus lunatus,L., in East Java based morphometric methods and conservation strategies . Thus limitations include : 1 ) Identification and mapping diversity Phaseolus lunatus , L based on morphometric method 2 ) management strategies of Phaseolus . The results of the survey in these areas in East Java , the existence ofPhaseolus lunatus L obtained several type . as follows : Trenggalek found 4 tipes , in Ponorogo 3 types , Jombang 3 types , Malang 2 types , Probolinggo 4types  , Madura 6 types . As a whole found 16 different types of seeds . Based on  morphological characters identified guide " Descriptor for Legume , The International Plant Genetic Resources , 2004 " . Phaseolus lunatus L, from 16 types obtained , again classified by 3 types grain size . Type of large grains with a diameter of ± 12 cm , called the Inca type , medium type with a diameter of ± 8cm called type Potato , small grains with a diameter of ± 5cm called type Sieva . Keywords :inventory, Arecaceae, waterfall, Irenggolo
