Jurnal Kajian Ekonomi dan Pembangunan (JKEP) is a peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum for scientific works pertaining to Development Economics. This journal was first published since June 2019 by the Universitas Negeri Padang.This journal published four times a year and has e-ISSN 2656-0356. JKEP is expected to be used as a reference for academicians in writing a scientific, relevant, and dynamic article to enhance the new generation that is found in writing an academic paper. The Redaction Board accepts only research in the field of legal science that already in the form of a journal article to be considered for publication. The aims of JKEP are to provides immediate open access to its content in the principle of making research freely available to the public as a support for the greater global exchange of knowledge. The language used in this journal is English or Indonesian. Scope of articles published in JKEP is consist of a broad range of topic in the field of development economics, energy economics, environmental economics, international trade, public finance, rural development, regional economics, financial development, monetary economics, industrial economics, Islamic economics, agricultural economics, and labor economics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence between the use of the Internet, electricity and labor on economic growth in Java and Bali. The data used are secondary data in the form of panels with a period of time from 2015 to 2017, with the technique of collecting documentation data and literature studies obtained from relevant institutions and agencies. The variables used are Economic Growth, Internet Usage, Electricity Consumption and Labor. The research method used is the Panel Regression Model. The results showed that: (1) there was a positive and significant relationship between Internet Usage on Economic Growth (2) Ithere was a negative and significant relationship between Electricity Consumption and Economic Growth (3) there was a positive and insignificant relationship between Labor andIEconomic Growth.

Abstract

This research aims to find out: (1) The Effect of Construction Overpriced on Human Development in West Sumatra. (2) Effect of Fiscal Independence on Human Development in West Sumatra. (3) Effect of Economic Growth on Human Development in West Sumatra. (4) The Effect of Construction Cost, Fiscal Independence, and Economic Growth Together on Human Development in West Sumatra. This type of research is descriptive and associative. Data type is secondary data. This study uses panel data, namely using 19 districts / cities in West Sumatra using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Construction Expenses have a negative and significant effect on Human Development in West Sumatra. (2) Fiscal Independence has a negative and insignificant effect on Human Development in West Sumatra. (3) Economic growth has a positive and significant effect on Human Development in West Sumatra.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze the factors that influence inflation in Indonesia in the Philips curve with variables that affect expected inflation, unemployment and world oil prices. This type of research is associative descriptive research, where the data used are secondary data from 1986 to 2017 obtained from institutions and related institutions, which are analyzed using the Ordinary Lest Square (OLS) method. Inflation that is expected to occur the same as the previous year's inflation has a significant effect on the positive direction of inflation in the Philips curve in Indonesia. Unemployment affects inflation with a significant positive effect on inflation in the Philips curve in Indonesia. World oil prices do not affect inflation with a positive but not significant the Philips curve in Indonesia, and expected inflation, unemployment, and world oil prices together have a significant effect on the Philips curve in Indonesia. The findings of this study indicate that inflation expected to occur the same as the previous year's inflation has a significant effect on the positive direction of inflation. Unemployment influences inflation with a significant positive effect on inflation. World oil prices do not affect inflation with a positive but not significant effect on the Philips curve in Indonesia , and expected inflation, unemployment, and world oil prices together have a significant effect on the Philips curve in Indonesia. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that inflation is a measure of the economy of a country whether or not it is controlled by inflation, indicating that economy is also controlled in that country, the government should work together with the whole community so that people can be helped.

Abstract

This study explains the extent of the influence of macroeconomic variables on the profitability of BUKU 4 banks in Indonesia. The macroeconomic variables consist of economic growth (X1), inflation (X2), Bank Indonesia Interest Rate (BI Rate) (X3, and Profitability is measured by the ROA (Return) ratio. On Asset). This study combines cross section data of 7 banks with time series from 2010-2019, with the Panel Regression method with the Random Effect model selection test. The results show that: (1) Economic growth has a positive and significant effect on bank profitability. conventional BUKU 4 in Indonesia, (2) Inflation has a positive and insignificant effect on the profitability of conventional BUKU 4 banks in Indonesia, (3) the Bank Indonesia Interest Rate (BI Rate) has a positive and insignificant effect on the profitability of conventional BUKU 4 banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

In this study the study of Analysis of factors affecting IndonesianNon-oil and gas exports to America and the data used in this study isquarterly time series data from 2007Q1-2018Q. The model used in thisstudy is the Error Correction Model / ECM. Data sourced from the WorldBank and the Ministry of Trade. The results of this study indicate that (1)the estimated economy of the United States in the long term and short termhas a significant positive relationship to Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports to the United States (2) a significant negative effect on Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports to the United States (3) Foreign direct investment or investment foreign direct in the long run, has a significant positive and in the short term does not have a significant and positive influence on non-oil and gas exports Indonesia to the United States.

Abstract

This research  aims to determine (1) the effect of labor on social welfare in Indonesia, (2) the effect of goverment expenditure on social welfare in Indonesia, (3) the effect of road infrastruktur on social welfare in Indonesia, (4) the effect of labor, goverment expenditure, and road infrastruktur on social welfare in Indonesia. The method used in this study is Multiple Linear Regression. The research type is descriptive research while the data used is time series data from 1987-2016 obtained from documentation of Bank Indonesia, and BPS Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that (1) labor has a significant positive effect on social welfare in Indonesia (2) goverment expenditure has a significant positive effect on social welfare in Indonesia  (3) road infrastruktur has a significant positive effect on social welfare in Indonesia, (4) labor, goverment expenditure, and road infrastruktur has a significant positive effect on social welfare in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study intends to determine effect of income level, education level of married woman, married woman labor force participation, total health budget, and number of medical personnel on fertility in districts / cities in West Sumatra. This study uses data from the BPS and the West Sumatra Health Office in 2012-2017. The analysis technique used is Panel Data Regression Analysis. The results showed that (1) The level of income did not have a significant negative effect on the number of live births in the West Sumatra (2) The level education of married woman had a significantly positive effect on the number of live births in West Sumatra; (3) Labor force participation of married woman has a significant effect on the number of live births in West Sumatra; (4) The amount of the health budget has a significant positive effect on the number of live births in West Sumatra; (5) The number of medical personnel has a significant positive effect on the number of live births in West Sumatra; (6) Income level, education level of married woman, labor force participation of married woman, number of health budgets, and the number of medical personnel simultaneously have a significant effect on the number of live births in West Sumatra.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of education, foreign direct investment (FDI), and migration to income inequality in Indonesia. Using secondary data in the form of panel regression in 32 Indonesian provinces from 2014-2018 (sourced from the Central Statistics Agency). The independent variables in this test are Education (X1), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) (X2), and migration (X3). Data is processed by panel data analysis, there are several tests on inductive analysis, namely: (1) Panel Regression Model (2) Classical Assumption Test (3) t test (4) f test. From the tests that have been done, the results show (1) that there is a significant and negative influence between education and income inequality in Indonesia. (2) there is no significant and negative influence between Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and income inequality in Indonesia. (3) there is a significant and positive influence between migration and income inequality in Indonesia. Partially there is a significant influence between all independent variables namely education, foreign direct investment (FDI) and migration to income inequality in Indonesia at α = 5%.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the factors affecting Non Performing Financing (NPF) in Sharia Commercial Bank and Sharia Rural Bank in Indonesia such as: Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Return On Assets (ROA), Inflation, and Exchange Rate. The data used are secondary data in the form of time series of monthly data from 2015 to 2018.The method used are: (1) Ordinanry Least Square (OLS), (2) Classical Assumption Test which is processed through Eviews 8.0 application. The results of the study show that (1) Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) has a negative and significant effect on Non Performing Finansial (NPF) on Sharia Commercial Bank and Sharia Rural Bank (2) Return On Assets (ROA) has a negative and  not significant effect on Non Performing Finansial (NPF) on Sharia Commercial Bank and on Sharia Rural Bank has a positive and significant effect. (3) inflation has a negatif and not significant effect on Sharia Commercial Bank and Sharia Rural Bank. Abstract

Abstract : The study describes the effects on globalization population density andeconomic growth on environmental degradation in Indonesia. This research uses a timeseries data from year 1971 - 2017, with method Error Correction Model (ECM). Datasources from Global Carbon Project, KOF Swiss Economic Institute, and WorldBank. Research result explain that (1) Globalization in long term has a insignificantpositive effect on environmental degradation in Indonesia, but short term globalizationhas a insignificant negative effect on environmental degradation in Indonesia (2)Population density in long term has a significant positive , and short term has ainsignificant positive effect on environmental degradation in Indonesia (3) Economicgrowth in long and short term has a significant positive effect on environmentaldegradation in Indonesia.Keywords : Environmental Degradation, Globalization Population Density AndEconomic Growth.
