Jurnal Kajian Ekonomi dan Pembangunan (JKEP) is a peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum for scientific works pertaining to Development Economics. This journal was first published since June 2019 by the Universitas Negeri Padang.This journal published four times a year and has e-ISSN 2656-0356. JKEP is expected to be used as a reference for academicians in writing a scientific, relevant, and dynamic article to enhance the new generation that is found in writing an academic paper. The Redaction Board accepts only research in the field of legal science that already in the form of a journal article to be considered for publication. The aims of JKEP are to provides immediate open access to its content in the principle of making research freely available to the public as a support for the greater global exchange of knowledge. The language used in this journal is English or Indonesian. Scope of articles published in JKEP is consist of a broad range of topic in the field of development economics, energy economics, environmental economics, international trade, public finance, rural development, regional economics, financial development, monetary economics, industrial economics, Islamic economics, agricultural economics, and labor economics.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the causality of relationship between, analyze the causality of foreign debt, government expenditure and economy Indonesia and Malaysia. This type of research is associative descriptive research, where the data used are secondary data from data time series from 1987 to 2016 that use data Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). foreign debt as one of the pillars of development. the Indonesian government budget places foreign debt as a shortage component. The economy is the production of goods and services produced by each country.

Abstract

This study aims to to know and to analyze influence ( 1 ) the number of labor in the industrial sector in indonesia on wage levels in indonesia .( 2 ) working hours in the industrial sector in indonesia on wage levels in indonesia .( 3 ) together the amount of labor and working hours in the industrial sector in indonesia on wage levels in indonesia .Type research, this research is descriptive where data used is secondary data in cross section or of the year 2017 and related institutions.In this research using a technique of analysis a linear regression berganda to find how free variable influence on variables bound.The research results obtained show that: ( 1 ) the number of workers on the industrial sector in indonesia influential positive and insignificant on wage levels in indonesia.( 2 ) working hours on the industrial sector in indonesia positive and significant influence on wage levels in indonesia.In bersama-sama numbers of workers and working hours on the industrial sector in indonesia significant impact on wage rates in indonesia with the level of influence 41 %.So it can from the research suggested that the importance of the role of manpower and the government to cooperate in improving the wage rates in indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) The effect of employment status on wage levels in West Sumatra. (2) The effect of education level on wage levels in West Sumatra. (3) Effect of gender on wage rates in West Sumatra. This type of research is descriptive and associative research. The type of data used in this study is the 2018 National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) in West Sumatra Province sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Sumatra Province. The method used in this study is the Logistic Regression Analysis Method. The results of the study show that: (1) Employment status with an unspecified time agreement has a significant positive effect on wage levels in West Sumatra, a certain time agreement has a positive and significant effect on wage levels in West Sumatra and an oral agreement has a negative and not significant effect on wage levels in West Sumatra. (2) The level of education has a positive and significant effect on wage levels in West Sumatra. (3) Sex has a positive and significant effect on wage rates in West Sumatra. From the results of this study, it is recommended to the Government of the Province of West Sumatra to set a Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) according to a decent standard of living and provide strict sanctions to companies both private or government institutions that do not pay labor wages in accordance with the Minimum Wage Provibsi (UMP) in West Sumatra. This is done to improve the welfare of workers in the Province of West Sumatra.

Abstract

This study aims to find out effect of  wage level, education level, age, gender, and marital status on the opportunities of West Sumatera worker to migrate commuter. This type of research is descriptive and associative. The type of data is secondary. This study uses the National Labor Force Survey data in 2017 and using logistic regression analysis with the number of respondents as many as 6.560 people. The result of this study indicate that : (1) Wage rates have a positive and significant effect on the opportunities of West Sumatra workers to migrate commuter, (2) Educational level has a positive and significant effect on the opportunities of West Sumatra workers to migrate commuter, (3) Age positive and not significant effect on the opportunities of West Sumatra workers to migrate commuter, (4) Gender has a positive and significant effect on the opportunities of West Sumatra workers to migrate commuter, (5) Marital status has a positive and not significant effect on employment opportunities West Sumatra to migrate commuter. (6) employment sector has a positive and significant effect on employment opportunities west Sumatra to migrate commuter.

Abstract

Abstract : This study discusses the study and analysis of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on the Labor and Economic Markets in Indonesia. The data used in this study are panel secondary data from 2012 to 2018 with a sample of 34 provinces in Indonesia. Data obtained from related institutions and then analyzed using the simultaneous equation model (simultaneous equation regression model) with the Indirect Least Square (ILS) method to calculate indirect parameters and calculated using the first with the application of the OLS model through the selection of the CEM, FEM and REM model then continued with classic trials. Partial research results show, Information and communication technology has a significant influence on the Labor Market in Indonesia. Furthermore, simultaneous, Information and Communication Technology and Labor Market have a significant influence on the economic conversation in Indonesia Indonesia. However, partially, Information and Communication Technology has a negative influence on the acceleration of the Economy in Indonesia. Based on the results of this research, the steps in the progress of Information and Communication Technology have become one of the studies for governments that need help, in order to increase insight, use, use, and match for policy makers in developing countries specifically Indonesia so that it can be an appropriate intervention to influence per capita economic growth.Keywords: Information and Communication Technology, Labor, Economic Communication, Solow Model and Simultaneous Equation Model

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out: How far is the Causality Relationship between the Amount of Money Supply, Investment, Savings and Economic Growth in Indonesia. This type of research is descriptive and associative. The type of data is secondary data. This study uses Time series data from 2005 Q1-2018 Q4 using the Vector Auto Regression (VAR) and Vector Estimation Causality Model (VECM) approaches. The results of this study show that: (1) there is a causal relationship between the money supply and economic growth. (2) There is no causal relationship between Investment and Economic Growth in Indonesia. (3) There is no causal relationship between Economic Growth Savings in Indonesia, but there is a one-way relationship namely Economic Growth affecting Savings. Based on the results of this study, the authors advise the Government to keep the national economy more stable and in a healthy financial institution. This will be able to facilitate the circulation of money in the community so that economic activity grows well.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of regional financial performance, labor force participation rates, and inflation on economic growth in West Sumatra. The data used are secondary data in the form of time series with a period of time from 1987 to 2017, with the technique of collecting data documentation and library studies obtained from the institutions and agencies concerned. The variables used are government expenditure, investment, balance funds, labor force participation rates, inflation and economic growth. The research methods used are: (1) Ordinanry Least Square (OLS), (2) Classical Assumption Test. The results of the study show that (1) Government expenditure has a positive and significant effect on economic growth. (2) FDI investment has a negative and not significant effect on economic growth. (3) Balancing Funds have a positive and significant effect on economic growth. (4) Work Force Participation Level has a negative and significant effect on economic growth. (5) Inflation has a negative and significant effect on economic growth (6) Government Expenditures, Investment, Balancing Funds, Labor Force Participation Levels and Inflation have a significant effect on economic growth in West Sumatra.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the causality of crime, education and poverty in Indonesia. The data used is panel data during the period 2013-2017, with the technique of collecting documentation data and library studies obtained from relevant institutions and agencies. The variables used are Crime (Y1), Education (Y2), Poverty (Y3). The research methods used are: Granger Causality Test Panel and Vector Autoregression (PVAR) Panel. This study found that crime does not have a causal relationship to education, and vice versa. Crime does not have a causal relationship to poverty and vice versa. And poverty has a one-way relationship to education. The results of the PVAR found that crime in a given  year period was significantly influenced by crime in the previous period. Likewise, it was also with education and poverty.

Abstract

This study attempts to influence the estimate and explains work, the number of income and education to money japuik in Padang Pariaman District, the type research this  research is descriptive the data used was primary and secondary data that analyzed using multiple linear regression. The estimation results shows that the type of work  has a significant  influence on the amount of money japuik in Padang Pariaman District, the number of income is significantly positive effect on money japuik in Padang Pariaman District and Education also has a positif but not significant effect on japuik money in Padang Pariaman district

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of governance , tax revenue and export on economy in Asia Pasific. The data used is panel data during the period 2010-2017, and collected by data documentation and library obtained from relevant institutions and agencies. The variables used are control of corruption (X1), political stability (X2), tax revenue (X3), expor (X4) and economy (Y). Using the panel data regression apporoach a sample of developed and developing countries, it finds: (i) control of corruption, tax revenue and export have a significant effect on economy, (ii) political stability have a insignificant effect on economy, (iii) and simultaneuosly all of the indenpendent variables in this study have a significant effect on economy.
