Jurnal Kajian Ekonomi dan Pembangunan (JKEP) is a peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum for scientific works pertaining to Development Economics. This journal was first published since June 2019 by the Universitas Negeri Padang.This journal published four times a year and has e-ISSN 2656-0356. JKEP is expected to be used as a reference for academicians in writing a scientific, relevant, and dynamic article to enhance the new generation that is found in writing an academic paper. The Redaction Board accepts only research in the field of legal science that already in the form of a journal article to be considered for publication. The aims of JKEP are to provides immediate open access to its content in the principle of making research freely available to the public as a support for the greater global exchange of knowledge. The language used in this journal is English or Indonesian. Scope of articles published in JKEP is consist of a broad range of topic in the field of development economics, energy economics, environmental economics, international trade, public finance, rural development, regional economics, financial development, monetary economics, industrial economics, Islamic economics, agricultural economics, and labor economics.

This study explains the extent of the influence between the Quality of Human Resources, Corruption, Income Inequality on Poverty in Indonesia. This study combines cross section data in 33 provinces with time series from 2011-2019, using the Panel Regression method with a Fixed Effect model selection test. ) 1) Quality of Human Resources has a negative and significant effect on Poverty in Indonesia, 2) Corruption has a positive and insignificant effect on poverty in Indonesia, (3) income inequality has a positive and insignificant effect on poverty in Indonesia.

This Study aims to examine and to analisys the influencing factors on economic growth in Indonesia, which the variables are e-commerce, inflation and exchange rate. This study is associative descriptive research, which using secondary data from 2011Q1-2018Q4 that obtained from relevant institutions and agencies. Analisys using Error Correction Model (ECM) method. This study using Ordinary Lest Square (OLS) method to know the long term effect and ECM to know the short term effect at one blow.The study found that in the long term, e-commerce and exchange rate have a significant effect and inflation have not a significant effect. And in the short term, e-commerce have a positive and significant effect, while inflation and exchange rate have a negative and not significant.

This study aims to determine: (1) The Effect of Electricity Availability on people's welfare. (2) Effect of Availability of Clean Water on people’s welfare. (3) Effect of Sanitation on people's welfare. (4) Effect of Housing Ownership Status on people's welfare. (5) Effects of Electricity Availability, Availability of Clean Water, Sanitation and Home Ownership Status on people's welfare. This type of research is descriptive and associative. The type of data used is secondary data, namely 2018 SUSENAS data conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Electricity Availability has a positive and significant effect on people's welfare. (2) The availability of clean water has a positive and significant effect on people's welfare. (3) Sanitation has a positive and significant effect on people's welfare. (4) House Ownership Status has a negative and not significant effect on people's welfare. (5) Availability of Electricity, Availability of Clean Water, Sanitation and Home Ownership Status has a positive and significant impact on people's welfare. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that the Mentawai Islands Regency government focus on infrastructure development especially those related to electricity, clean water and sanitation. This is done so that the welfare of the people in the Mentawai Islands Regency can be improved.

This study aims to identify and analyze the response between economicgrowth, internet users, and consumption of electrical energy in Indonesia. This type of research is descriptive and associative, the data used are secondary panel data from 2016 to 2020. This research was conducted using the Vector Autoregression (VAR) model through the analysis of Impulse Response Funtion (IRF) and Variance Decomposition (VD) to determine the variability response of a particular variable due to the shock of other variables. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Variability of econmic growth is not contributed by internet users in the short term, but in the long term variability of economic growth is contributed by the shock of internet users in Indonesia, (2) Variability internet users is contributed by economic growth in short and long term,(3) Variability internet users in short term is not contibuted by consumption of electrical energy , but in long term is contrubuted by the consumption of electrical energy in Indonesia, (4) Variability consumption of electrical energy in short term and long term is contributed by internet users in Indonesia, (5) Variability consumption of electrical energy in short term and long term is contributed by economic growth in Indonesia, (6) Variability econmic growth is contributed by the consumption of electrical energy ionlyin the long term.

This study aims to determine the effect of wages, education and health on labor productivity in Indonesia. This study uses panel data on 34 provinces in Indonesia.The results of the data were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency. This research uses Panel Regression Analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) Wages have a significant effect on the productivity of Indonesia workers, (2) Education has no significant effect on the productivity of Indonesia workers and (3) Healty has a significant effect on the productivity of Indonesia workers.

This study aims to determine the causality relationship between Economic Growth, Poverty, Education and Distribution of Income on the island of Sumatra by using a panel model Vector Autoregresion panel (PVAR) from 2013 to 2017. The research methods used are: (1) Analysis of the Vector Regression Panel , (2) Granger Causality Test. The results showed that (1) there was no causality or one-sided relationship between economic growth and poverty on the island of Sumatera, (2) there was no causality relationship between poverty and income distribution in Sumatera Island, but there was a one-way relationship between poverty and income distribution. (3) There is no causal relationship or one-way relationship between income distribution and education on the island of Sumatera (4) There is no causal relationship between education and economic growth, but there is a one-way relationship between education and economic growth on the island of Sumatera. (5) There is no causality or one direction relationship between growth and income distribution on the island of Sumatera. (6) There is no causal relationship between education and poverty, but there is a one-way relationship of poverty to education on the island of Sumatera.

This Study aims to examine and to analysis how the effect of governance, tax revenue and export on economy in Asia Pasific, the variables that used are control of corruption (X1), political stability (X2), tax revenue (X3), expor (X4) and economy (Y). The data used is panel data during the period 2010-2017, and sourced by data documentation and review of literature obtained from relevant institutions and agencies. This study using the panel data regression approach with the object of several developed and developing countries.The study found that: (i) control of corruption, tax revenue and export have a significant effect on economy, (ii) political stability have a insignificant effect on the economy, (iii) and simultaneously all of the independent variables in this study have a significant effect on the economy.

This study aims to determine and analyze how the influence of age, gender, working hours, employment status and education on the income of workers in the city of Padang. The types and sources of data in this study are from the National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS in 2019. In this study, multiple regression analysis was used to see the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable with the number of samples used as many as 912 workers. The results of this study indicate that age has a positive and significant effect on labor incomein Padang City, gender has a positive and significant effect on labor income in Padang City, working hours have a positive and significant effect on labor income in Padang City, employment status has a positive effect. and significant to the income of workers in the city of Padang, education also affects the income of workers in the city of Padang.

This study aims to examine the effect of Minimum Wage, Economic Growth, Population and Inflation on Income Inequality of Provinces in Sumatra Island. This type of research is descriptive, the data used are secondary data and panel data from 2013 to 2020 in 10 provinces on the island of Sumatra. Using panel regression analysis method with Random Effect Model method. The results of the study concluded that the minimum wage variable had a significant negative effect on income inequality, while economic growth, population and inflation had a positive and negligible effect on income inequality. Based on the findings in this study, the policy that can be suggested by the government is to distribute income in each region in order to reduce inequality between regions.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of education, foreign direct investment (FDI), and migration to income inequality in Indonesia. Using secondary data in the form of panel regression in 32 Indonesian provinces from 2014-2018 (sourced from the Central Statistics Agency). The independent variables in this test are Education (X1), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) (X2), and migration (X3). Data is processed by panel data analysis, there are several tests on inductive analysis, namely: (1) Panel Regression Model (2) Classical Assumption Test (3) t test (4) f test. From the tests that have been done, the results show (1) that there is a significant and negative influence between education and income inequality in Indonesia. (2) there is no significant and negative influence between Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and income inequality in Indonesia. (3) there is a significant and positive influence between migration and income inequality in Indonesia. Partially there is a significant influence between all independent variables namely education, foreign direct investment (FDI) and migration to income inequality in Indonesia at α = 5%.
