Abstract

Background: Patient safety standards are a global issue and a top priority for hospital health services. Every health service needs to strive for patient safety Various previous studies on the application of patient safety standards have been carried out only explaining external factors such as education, training, infrastructure and leadership with apassion for compliance behavior in the application of patient safety standards, while internal factor sare still very few, in this study what will be studied is internal factors in nurses, one of the internal factors that cannot be explained is the perception factor. Objective: The purpose of this study is to Analysis of Nurse Perception Factors on Compliance Implementing Patient Safety Standards in Emergency Installations and Intensive Care Units Tgk Abdullah Syafi' Hospital. Method: The type of research used is quantitative correlative with a cross sectional design. This research was conducted at Tgk Abdullah Syafi'i Hospital. The subjects in this study were all nurses working in the emergency room (ER) and the intensive care unit (ICU) as many as 63 people. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire consisting of independent variables and a dependent variable questionnaire. Result and Discussion: The most dominant factor influencing the application of patient application standards is the action cue with an OR value of 4,702. this means that the higher the actioncue, the better the implementation of patient safety standards by 4,702 times compared to the action cues that low. Value B = natural logarithm of 4.702 = 1.584 because the value of B is positive, the action cue has a positive relationship with the application of patient safety standards. Conclusions: There is an influence between perceptions of benefits, perceptions of obstacles and cues for action on the application of patient safety standards

Abstract

Background: The Indonesian Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology found that 20% of pregnant women died during the pandemic, dominated by cases of pregnant women who were confirmed positive for COVID-19. Maternal mortality reached three times the pre-pandemic level in July 2021. Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare the Modified Early Obstetric Warning Score (MEOWS) and Maternal Early Warning Criteria (MEWC) in predicting maternal morbidity and mortality in women infected with COVID-19.  Method: The retrospective cohort method was used in this study of 91 obstetric patients infected with COVID-19 who were hospitalized at the Panembahan Senopati Bantul Regional General Hospital from January 2021 to December 2021. Result and discussion: The results of the calculation of the different tests obtained a p-value of 0.000=0.05 (the p-value is smaller than = 0.05). This means that there is a significant difference between the Modified Early Obstetric Warning Score (MEOWS) and the Maternal Early Warning Criteria (MEWC) in pregnant patients with confirmed COVID-19 at the Bantul Regional General Hospital. MEWC can predict a maternal mortality rate of 60.67%. Meanwhile, MEOWS can only predict maternal morbidity and mortality in 37.08% of COVID-19-positive pregnant patients. Conclusions: The Maternal Early Warning Criteria (MEWC) is better than the Modified Early Obstetric Warning Score (MEOWS) in predicting morbidity and mortality in pregnant patients with confirmed COVID-19

Abstract

Introduction: In the midst of the outbreak of the spread of COVID-19 which is currently increasing, people are actively taking precautions, one of which is by sterilizing using disinfectants. But a problem arises among the people that mass spraying of disinfectants gives rise to environmental pollution. This is because the ingredients for making disinfectants come from chemicals that tend to be non-biodegradable by soil, plants, and microorganisms. Objective: The purpose of this study is to help the community to solve this problem by making environmentally friendly disinfectants from coconut husk waste materials.  Method:  In this study, the method used is a quantitative approach because this research is presented using aspects of measurement, concentration calculation, and certainty of numerical data Results and Discussion: A sap liquid is proven to have many benefits, namely as a biopesticide, insecticide, disinfectant, and preservative. The liquid smoke production process is also classified as environmentally friendly because all residues can be reused or zero waste. Based on the data obtained, the percentage of liquid smoke of 1.6% has a better ability to inhibit the growth of microorganisms than the percentage of liquid smoke of 0.4% and 0.8%.  Conclusion: With this disinfectant, it is hoped that it can reduce the risk of environmental pollution, can effectively sterilize in the community environment for the prevention of COVID-19, and can reduce coconut husk waste
