Abstract

Introduction: Caffeine is made by extraction from roasted and ground coffee by dichloromethane after being heated in deionized water mixed with magnesium oxide. The extract was purified, dried and bottled in a bottle of dark glass. A stratified random selection was applied to select a number of vials for the study of homogeneity and stability, which revealed that the prepared reference material was homogeneous and fairly stable.  Objective: This study aims to determine the level of caffeine levels in ground coffee.  The quantification of the % purity of caffeine was performed using a calibrated UV/visible UV/visible spectrophotometer and high-performance liquid chromatography calibrated by the diode-array detection method. Method: This study uses literature review, from several articles published in literature through PubMed, Science Direct,  Researchgate, publons and Google Scholar with articles published from 2012 to 2022.  Result and Discussion: The results obtained from both methods combined to drive the certified value and uncertainty regarding the certified value of the purity of the reference material were found to be 99.86% and the associated uncertainty was ±0.65%, which makes the candidate reference material a very useful calibran in the chemical analysis of food and medicine.  Conclusion: It can be concluded that the caffeine levels contained in robusta and arabica coffee beans with varying soaking duration of 3 days, 5 days, and 7 days there are differences in caffeine levels

Abstract

Introduction: Stunting is a chronic malnutrition condition caused by a numeuros of factors, including inadequate maternal nutritional nutrition during pregnancy, inadequate exclusive breastfeeding, and infectious diseases. There are also some indirect factors .Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the risk factors for stunting in children aged 6-36 months in the Sambirejo Health Center area. study. Method: This study is an observational analytic study using a cross-sectional approach that gathers data via a questionnaire. Sampling Techniques using the Non- Probability Sampling technique, and the sample size was estimated using the Lemeshow formula. The Prevalence Ratio (PR) was calculated to evaluate the strength of the link between the factors assumed to be linked with stunting. Result and Discussion: Of the 65 samples,  Four children were stunted, while 61 were not. Infants who were not exclusively breastfed, infants with a history of LBW, infants with a history of SBL, and family planning of 2 years both were risk factors for stunting in this study. Conclusions: Some variables in this study had no impact on the incidence of stunting. In this study, the risk factors for stunting were LBW, SBL, and infants without exclusive breastfeeding, and child spacing was a neutral factor for the occurrence of stunting in children aged 6-36 months.

Method: This study used Quasi experimental design with a two-grub pretest-posttest design approach. This study compared the knowledge of toddler mothers before and after treatment. Results: The results of the study obtained a p value of 0.000 or < 0.005 which means that the use of Whatsapp Group in the class of toddler mothers is effective in increasing the knowledge of toddler mothers. Discussion: Various factors that can influence knowledge are the sources of information obtained. The class of toddler mothers both using Whatsapp media and conventionally helps mothers to increase knowledge. Conclusion: Online classes for mothers of toddlers can improve the knowledge of mothers of toddlers. From the results of this study, it can be seen that we can improve knowledge and skills even though not through face-to-face learning, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic

Melak Health Center wheres has made efforts to increase interest in the use of IUDs such as providing counseling to WUS and cross-sectoral cooperation. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and husband's support for the low interest in using the IUD contraceptive method in the Technical Implementation Unit working area Malacca Health Center.  Methods: This type of research is an analytic survey using a cross sectional design.  Results: The characteristics of most wives are between 31-40 years old (48.8%), high school education (36.9%) and household members (47.6%). The research variables were mostly poor knowledge about IUD (64.3%), negative attitude towards IUD (54.8%), husband was less supportive (60.7%) and less interested in using the IUD contraceptive method (58.3%).  Discussion: Knowledge is not good due to lack seeking information such as from mass media. Negative attitude is due to perception that IUD is less safe to prevent pregnancy, costs more and interferes with husband & wife relationships. Husbands are less supportive because they do not provide funds or do not deliver to IUD services. Conclusion: Husband's knowledge, attitude and support associated with low interest in using the IUD.
