Abstract

Dr. Tengku Mansyur Regional Hospital, Tanjungbalai City, still has difficulty in grouping the intensity of diseases that often occur in Tanjungbalai City, in the exact grouping based on the results of patient medical data records. Medical records are documents that record information about the patient's condition, medical history, and previous treatment filled in by health workers who provide care and treatment. Medical records function to provide health information for all health workers involved in patient care. The goal is to minimize the increase in the intensity of the disease experienced by patients by providing counseling and solutions to diseases that have high intensity. administration in an effort to improve health services in hospitals and also increase the supply of drugs according to the drugs needed. This study uses the Jupyter Notebook application based on Python and data mining methods, especially the K-Means Clustering algorithm, to analyze patient medical record data based on age, blood pressure and disease diagnosis. With the K-Means Clustering Algorithm, it can also minimize variation in one cluster and maximize variation between clusters. With the research, Cluster C1 is a disease that often occurs with high intensity and has 49 members, Cluster C2 is a disease that occurs with intensity. Cluster 2 has 28 members, while Cluster C3 is a disease that occurs with low intensity and has 23 members.

Abstract

Optimal course scheduling is a significant challenge in university academic management, especially in allocating courses to lecturers efficiently. This study aims to analyze the application of Genetic Algorithm and Constraint Satisfaction Method in optimizing the scheduling of course distribution at Batam University. Genetic Algorithm is used to find the optimal solution through the evolution process, while the Constraint Satisfaction method is used to ensure that all scheduling constraints, such as the availability of lecturers, classrooms, and time, are met. This research method involves collecting data on course schedules, lecturer preferences, and classroom capacity. Furthermore, the implementation of the algorithm is carried out through computer simulations with population, mutation, and crossover parameters that are set to achieve the optimal solution. Based on the results of this study, the optimization achieved includes several important aspects. First, there were no schedule conflicts (zero conflicts) between courses, classrooms, and lecturers. Second, in terms of time efficiency, the automatic scheduling process runs faster than the manual method. Furthermore, the utilization of resources such as rooms and time has been used optimally, while the teaching load of lecturers is well distributed without any excess. Finally, constraint satisfaction has been achieved, where all constraints, such as no scheduling conflicts in space, lecturers, and time, have been successfully met.

Abstract

West Lampung Regency faces serious challenges in reducing the number of residents with seasonal unemployment status. This is due to the dependence of the community, the majority of whom work in the coffee farming sector, especially robusta coffee. This sector absorbs a lot of labor but has seasonal characteristics and is susceptible to market price fluctuations. The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in the district will increase in 2023. This is in line with the decline in the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) which is due to the increase in the number of people taking care of the household, especially the female population. The writing of this paper uses a qualitative descriptive method by collecting data through holding focus group discussion (FGD) meetings, field visits, and literature studies to understand the causes of low TPAK and formulate effective policies. The selection of policy recommendations uses the Bardach method with 4 criteria. The purpose of writing this paper is to analyze and formulate policy recommendations that can increase the Labor Force Participation Level (TPAK) in West Lampung Regency, with a focus on empowering women, the majority of whom are hampered in household roles. The conclusion of this paper is to increase the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) in West Lampung Regency, especially by overcoming the dominance of the female population who only take care of the household thereby reducing the female population's labor force participation, comprehensive regulations are needed. The chosen policy recommendation is to formulate and enact a Regional Regulation on Home Economic Empowerment

Abstract

Pendulum-derived gravitational acceleration values vary unpredictably due to unquantified string length and initial angle dependencies. This study aims to assess the feasibility and precision of the mathematical pendulum swing method in measuring gravitational acceleration. The research investigates the relationship between the pendulum’s string length, oscillation period, and initial deviation angle. It is hypothesized that longer strings will result in slower oscillations while shorter strings produce faster motions. Additionally, the study examines how these factors collectively impact gravitational acceleration measurement. Through controlled experiments, the study’s goal is to determine the precision of the pendulum swing method in determining gravitational acceleration and the factors influencing its reliability. Results demonstrate that a simple mathematical pendulum accurately determines gravitational acceleration with a calculated value of approximately 9.95974m/s². The findings confirm that the square of the oscillation period is directly proportional to the string length (T² ∝ l) and emphasize the importance of maintaining the initial deviation angle under 10 degrees to ensure measurement accuracy. These findings reinforce the pendulum’s utility in physics education and affordable gravitational field assessment, particularly in resource-limited settings. The study provides a foundational framework for improving experimental accuracy in classical mechanics and highlights the method’s enduring relevance in scientific pedagogy and fundamental research.

Abstract

This study investigates the incorporation of plastic waste as an additive in concrete mixtures, focusing on its effects on compressive strength and sustainability. Using a quantitative experimental approach, various proportions of plastic waste—specifically polypropylene (PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), and high-density polyethylene (HDPE)—were incorporated as partial replacements for fine or coarse aggregates. Concrete specimens were tested at 7, 14, and 28 days for compressive strength. Results indicate that while increasing plastic content generally reduces compressive strength, optimal low-percentage substitutions can maintain structural integrity and contribute to environmental sustainability by reducing plastic waste. This research supports the potential of plastic waste as a sustainable supplementary material in concrete production.

Abstract

The entrepreneurship ratio is a crucial indicator in assessing a region's economic capacity and independence. West Lampung Regency currently shows a low entrepreneurship ratio, largely due to the dominance of micro-enterprises and the suboptimal competitiveness of MSMEs in the robusta coffee processing sector—a flagship commodity of the region. This paper aims to formulate policies to enhance the entrepreneurship ratio by improving the competitiveness of coffee-based MSMEs. Using a qualitative descriptive approach through FGDs, literature studies, and policy analysis, the main issue identified was the lack of implementation of processing and marketing standards among most coffee MSMEs. As a result, a policy recommendation has been proposed: the formulation of a Regent Regulation on the Standardization of Robusta Coffee Processing and Marketing, which was deemed the most feasible according to Bardach's four policy criteria (technical, financial, political, and administrative). This policy is expected to improve the quality and market reach of local coffee, encourage business scaling, increase employment, and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem through synergy with gastronomy-based tourism. With the right policies, West Lampung Regency's entrepreneurship ratio has the potential to improve significantly and sustainably.
