Pillar of Physics Education : Jurnal Berkala Ilmiah Pendidikan Fisika
Pillar of Physics Education: International Journal on Physics Education is an open-access and peer-reviewed journal, published by Universitas Negeri Padang, which is dedicated to intercharge for the results of high-quality in all aspect of physics education. The editors welcome submissions of papers describing recent theoretical and experimental research related to: (1) learning outcome of physics, (2) Learning materials of physics, (3) Learning and teaching theories and models of physics, (4) Learning and teaching strategies and methods of physics, (5) Learning assessment and evaluation of physics, (6) The use of ict and media in learning of physics, (7) Learning management of physics, (8) Research and development in learning of physics, (9) Experimental methods in learning of physics, (10) Action research of learning of physics. The Pillar of Physics Education follows the open access policy that allows the published articles freely available online without any subscription. In the 21st century, the ability to collaborate is one of the competencies to be achieved through learning. Therefore, that ability must be applied in schools. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of collaborative strategy in physics learning to the achievement of student learning outcomes in high school which was carried out in class X SMAN 12 Padang in the odd semester of the academic year 2019/2020. This research belongs to the Quasi Experiment Research with the Posttest Only Control Group Design. As the study population were all students of class X IPA SMAN 12 Padang. The sampling technique is Porposive Sampling followed by Cluster Random Sampling and obtained class X IPA 1 as an experimental class and class X IPA 2 as a control class. Research data in the form of student learning outcomes data obtained through instruments in the form of posttest on aspects of knowledge. The instrument used has fulfilled its validity and reliability through trials. The results showed that the posttest mean score of the experimental class was 68.82 higher than the posttest mean value of the control class that was 61.59. T test results at alpha level of 5% showed that the value of t count (4.09) > t table (1.99), so it was concluded that the difference in value was due to differences in treatment.

Education is a learning process for humans to be able to understand and make more critical in thinking. Contextual learning is a learning concept that can help teachers associate material taught with real-world situations and encourage students to make connections between their knowledge and application in their lives. Curriculum development conducted by the government is expected to be able to face the times, be able to overcome complex challenges and be able to apply skills and knowledge in their lives. However, the reality in school teaching materials used by students is not optimal and does not vary. The solution that can be given to overcome this problem is to make teaching materials in the form of Contextual Learning Physics Handouts. This research aims to determine the validity of Contextual Learning Physics Handouts. The steps taken in research are Research and Development (R&D). The object of research is the contextual physics learning handout on the material traveling wave, stationary, sound and light class XI SMA/ MA. The instrument used to collect data is validity sheets from experts. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. Based on research and data analysis that has been done can be presented with research results. The average value of contextual physics learning handouts is 83.74 with very high validity criteria. So, it can be concluded that the Contextual Learning Physics Handout is at a very high level of validity.

The demands of the Century must have the competence of critical thinking, communicating, linking global issues and having the ability to read and write. The government's efforts to meet the demands of the century are to improve the curriculum and the School Literacy Movement program. But the reality at senior high school does not illustrate the ideal conditions. The solution of this problem is to use physics teaching materials with scientific literacy. The purpose of this research is to overcome this problem by developing physics teaching materials with scientific literacy. and determine the validity of physics teaching materials with scientific literacy. Research conducted includes the type of Research and Development. The object of this research is physics teaching material with scientific literacy about the material of rotational dynamics, rigid equilibrium, elasticity and hooke law. The data source of this research is the result of the validation of experts including physics lecturers at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP as validators. Based on data analysis from research that has been done, obtained physics teaching materials with scientific literacy about rotational dynamics, rigid equilibrium, elasticity and hooke law which are very valid with an average validity value of 90.51. So, it can be concluded that physics teaching materials that contain scientific literacy on the material of rotational dynamics, rigid equilibrium, elasticity and hooke laws are valid.

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of constructivist-based physics teaching materials with inquiry learning on the material of rotational dynamics and hooke laws on the scientific literacy of students at SMAN 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam. Research carried out including the type of quasi experiment research (quasi-experimental). The population of this study is all students of class XI SMAN 1 V Koto Kampung In the 2018/2019 school year. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique with the research data taken was student learning outcomes in science literacy skills. The research instrument is the final test to measure the ability of scientific literacy. The research data were analyzed using two similarity test averages. Based on data analysis, the average value of students' scientific literacy for the two sample classes (experimental and control) prior to the study was 17.73 and 23.67, and after the study the average values were 64.09 and 60.83 . T test analysis shows the value of p>α so that the alternative hypothesis is rejected. Due to students 'initial abilities are different, while the final test shows the same average so that the use of teaching materials can be said to affect the increase in students' scientific literacy.

Communication skill, collaboration, critical thinking is a demand in education of this 21th century, because these skills are needed by student to compote against global competition, so that the education is a top priority in realizing high-skilled students. In order to have these skills, teacher can use learning models that support students in achieving 4C skills that are assisted by a learning device. It is not easy to achieve these skills, especially in learning physics. Student could only understand the formula but their ability in the process of problem solving and determining the use of formula appropriately was still low. This was because students were still fixated on the sample questions which was given by the teacher. Researcher are interested in creating a product based on problem solving syntaxes in which each syntax integrates4C skills. This study aims to produce a valid and practical worksheet to use. The type of research used in this study is the type of research and development (R&D). This study was validated. Based on the research that has been done, the resulting product is a problem solving based worksheet to achieve 4C skills in the heat temperature material and the kinetic theory of gas class XI SMA / MA. The products that have been made are validated by experts. The results obtained from the assessment, the product has an average value of validity of 87,2% with a very valid, This shows that LKS is feasible to be used in the learning process. So that it can help and make it easier for the teachers in achieving the demands of 21st-century education.

The purposeeof thissstudy was to determineethe level of validity of theworksheet that has been systematically and precisely made. Based on observations at SMAN 8 Padang, the level of concepts mastery and students learning outcomes in Physics were not optimal. The result midterm of physics at SMAN 8 Padang which was generally less than the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). The low student learning outcomes in learning were caused by several factors, firstly the implementation of physics learning has not been carried out by both according to the demands of the 2013 curriculum. According to the teacher, the demands of the 2013 curriculum are too many, including the usingof models, media, and learning assessments. Then Learning resources used in schools are textbooks and students whorsheet, but the students whorksheet( LKS) were not made by teacher. The worksheet used was not were HOTS-oriented yet. While HOTS-oriented questions are very important to train students' high-level thinking skills. After perfecting the product, the validation results obtained an average value of 91.95%. Overall, instructional materials designed are in the valid categories so that they are appropriate for students to use for learning.

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of inquiry based learning models in physics learning. The effect of applying the IBL model will be investigated from the results of previous studies. This research uses meta-analysis. Meta analysis is the study of a number of research results in the same problem. In this study, the analyzed documents are written about the effect of applying the IBL model in learning Physics. The written documents used were 10 research journal articles taken in accordance with the objectives based on the research theme. The main instrument of this research can help to guide the research documentation itself. Analysis of the data used is qualitative data analysis in the form of narrative from the studies found. The results showed that the application of the IBL model in Physics learning had different effects. The effects of applying the IBL model include understanding Physics concepts, scientific literacy, logical thinking abilities, learning outcomes, creativity, scientific attitudes, critical thinking skills, creative thinking abilities and can reduce misconceptions among students in learning Physics. Therefore, the IBL model can be used as one of the choices of educators to obtain better learning outcomes and the full ability of the students themselves.

The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 which views information technology as a basis in human life. Education is demanded to be able to improve quality human resources. The 2013 revised 2017 curriculum is the government's effort to answer the demands of the industrial revolution 4.0 era which aims to shape literacy in students. However, the reality of school shows that student literacy has not been well implemented and understanding of Physics concepts is still low. One solution to overcome these problems is to develop a physics conflict cognitive worksheet based on students. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity and practicality of Physics students' worksheets. Research conducted includes the type of Development Research research using the Plomp model. The object of the study was a cognitive conflict based student worksheet. Data source validation results from experts by the Physics lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP, the results of practicality from the Physics teacher, as well as the results of the practicality of one to one and small groups of class XI students of SMAN 7 Padang. Based on data analysis two research results can be stated. First, cognitive conflict based LKS is very valid. Second, the use of cognitive conflict based student worksheets is very practical. So, it can be concluded that the worksheet based on cognitive conflict integrated with new literacy on fluid material for class XI high school students is valid and practical.

Student physics competency can be achieved by applying the problem based learning (PBL) learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the Physics competence of MAN 1 Kerinci students between classes using the Problem Based learning model and those not and to determine the percentage of influence of the application of the Problem Based learning model on the Physics competence of MAN 1 Kerinci students. The population in this study were all students of class X semester 1 in MAN 1 Kerinci who were enrolled in Academic Year (TA) 2018 / 2019. The technique used in sampling was cluster random sampling. The sample used was class X MIPA 1 as an experimental class and X MIPA 2 as a control class. The data in this study are the physics competencies of students after being given treatment including attitude competencies, knowledge and skills. After conducting research and continuing with analyzing the research data it can be concluded that the application of PBL learning models has a significant influence on the achievement of physics competence in class X MAN 1 Kerinci. The application of PBL learning model influences the attainment of attitude competence by 15.52%, the achievement of knowledge competence by 21.12% while the achievement of students' skills competence is 16.75%.

Science Process Skills (KPS) are skills that facilitate learners discover facts, determine concepts and apply theories in everyday life. Textbooks are one of the learning resources that can be used. Textbooks used in high schools in West Sumatra are very diverse, and the level of KPS presentation is unknown. This study aims to determine the level of KPS presentation in Physics textbooks used by high schools in West Sumatra. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The study population is all Physics textbooks for Class XI Semester 1 published in Indonesia and used in West Sumatra. The research sample is the four most used books in West Sumatra High School, three of which are recommended by the government. The research instrument used was very valid. Data collection technique used is the study of documents. Data analysis technique used content study. The results were obtained that the book used as a reference for learning Physics in Class XI High School Semester 1 has facilitated observational skills indicators, but has not yet facilitated the skill indicators of asking questions.
