Abstract

Some of the skills needed in the 21st century include: the ability to think critically, collaboration and leadership, and have high curiosity. These skills must be prepared by all government agencies and the education environment. In the field of education, specifically in high school, one struggle that can be done is to provide learning resources that are relevant to learning models that are also relevant. Like providing edupark physics books as a source of physics learning for high school. Edupark books have advantages compared to textbooks that are available in general. Therefore a study was conducted to find out the differences between students' knowledge between the application of edupark books and textbooks in schools. The learning model applied to both pf grade is discovery learning. This research was conducted in Class XI of SMAN 2 Padang Panjang in the 2019/2020 school year odd semester on fluid material. The research data consisted of the assessment of posestest scores between 2 classes who requested different textbooks. At a significant level of 0.05, there are significant differences in student physics learning outcomes from aspects of knowledge competence. Based on data analysis on knowledge competency through posttest, experimental class 1 has an average value of 82.5 and experimental class 2 is 76.1.  Classes that use the physics edupark book MiFan Water Park Padang Panjang have a higher value of knowledge competence than classes that use textbooks used in schools.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang sangat rentan terhadap bencana gempa bumi. Upaya mitigasi bencana sangat penting dilakukan, salah satunya adalah melalui pendidikan kebencanaan. Pendidikan kebencanaan dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan materi bencana ke dalam salah satu mata pelajaran di sekolah. Mata pelajaran yang sesuai untuk diintegrasikan dengan materi bencana adalah mata pelajaran fisika. Namun sebelum mengintegrasikan materi gempa bumi kedalam mata pelajaran fisika, perlu dilakukan analisis kesesuaian materi gempa bumi dengan materi fisika SMA kelas X,XI dan XII untuk mendapatkan materi fisika yang sesuai untuk disisipi materi gempa bumi. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekaan kualitatif. Data penelitian merupakan data primer yang diperoleh melalui studi dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tabel analisis kesesuaian materi gempa bumi dengan materi fisika. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah kesesuaian materi fisika X-1 dengan materi gempa bumi berkategori cukup sesuai dengan nilai kesesuaian sebesar 0,4083. Fisika X-1 terdiri atas 6 materi pokok, yaitu Hakikat Fisika dan Prosedur Ilmiah, Pengukuran, Vektor, Gerak Lurus dan Gerak Melingkar. Hakikat Fisika dan prosedure ilmiah memiliki nilai kesesuaian 0,30, Pengukuran memiliki nilai kesesuaian 0,35, Vektor memiliki nilai kesesuaian 0,57, Gerak Lurus memiiki nilai kesesuaian 0,50, Gerak Parabola memiliki nilai kesesuaian 0,425 dan Gerak Melingkar memiliki nilai kesesuaian 0,30. Sehingga dapat kita simpulkan bahwa materi gempa bumi sesuai untuk diintegrasikan dengan materi vektor, gerak lurus dan gerak parabola.

Abstract

The 4.0 Industrial Revolution era that is currently being faced is based on digitalization, so that new literacy and disasters are needed in facing this era. The 2013 curriculum is one of the government’s efforts to accept this 4.0 revolution. The purpose of the 2013 curriculum is to increase student competence. Based on preliminary research that integration of literacy in learning were still low. Solution of this problem is to develop physics learning material that contain new literacy and disasters. The method that used in this research was Research and Development (R&D). The object of research was physics learning material on fluid material to increase new literacy and disaster. The data collection instruments used were preliminary research, validity dan practicality test questionnaire. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistical analysis. The preliminary research instrument based on observation, book analysis, and analysis test literacy student. The average of value observation that integration literacy in learning  was still low with value 34.72, the result of analysis in five physics book was still enough with average value 41.47, the result of literacy test was still low with average value 40.00. The validity instrument of physics learning material on fluid material to increase new literacy and disaster consists of four components, namely the feasibility of content, presentation, linguistics, and graphic. Validity of physics learning material on fluid material to increase new literacy and disaster was very good with average value 86.27. The practicality instrument consists of four components, namely the easy to use, interesting, clarity, and benefits. Practicality of physics learning material on fluid material to increase new literacy and disaster according to teacher was very good with average value 83,65 and according to student was good with average value 79.52. Physics learning material on fluid material to increase new literacy and disaster for class XI is valid and practical.

Abstract

In the 2013 Physics Learning Curriculum is more emphasized on the Learning Process using the Process Skills approach to enhance students' Scientific Skills. based on observations in the field, it was found that the process skills had not been maximally performed. learning resources that become the main guidelines for teachers in Implementing Learning Activities are textbooks. however, the textbooks used in high schools in West Sumatra are very diverse, and it is not yet known which books can facilitate SPK. After the Survey, 4 books were used for a higher frequency, 3 of which were recommended by the government. This study aims to find out which books can facilitate the Implementation of Science Process Skills Presentation. Data was collected using an instrument analysis sheet, containing ten indicators of Science Process Skills (SPK), with 32 indicators. The instrument was validated by three experts obtained at the first expert with a score of 0.98% categorized as very valid, the second expert with a score of 0.96% categorized as very valid, and the third expert with a score of 0.85% categorized as very valid. The instrument was analyzed on the six main subjects, namely: Direct current electricity, Static electricity, Magnetic fields, Electromagnetic induction, Alternating current circuits, and Electromagnetic waves. The data collection technique used is the study of documents. Data analysis Techniques used Study content. The research results obtained that the books are used as a reference for Physics Learning in Class XII of Semester 1 High School which has the highest proportion of SPK Indicators, namely books by Writer Ketut Kamawijaya, Wawan.P with Grafindo Publishers in 2016, while books with the lowest proportion of Indicators Namely book by Author Sunardi, Paramitha Retno.P, Andreas B. Darmawan 2016.

Abstract

2013 curriculum revision in 2017 emphasizes the important subjects such as Strengthening Character Education (PPK), 4C skills (communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity), Literacy, and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Based on observations conducted found that the implementation of the curriculum according to the demands of learning physics 2013 revision in 2017 is still lacking. Problems found included the lack of ability of the students in learning. Which gained the ability of students are 40% of Lower Order Thinkung Skiils (LOTS), 38% of Middle Order Thinking Skills (MOTS), and 20% of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Besides, learning and teaching materials were available yet supportive learning HOTS oriented. Therefore, to improve the student’s HOTS in Physics, a resource-oriented HOTS is needed and developed, where the materials consist HOTS indicators and levels of Bloom's taxonomy revision Anderson, for HOTS category, student worksheet which is developed in this study also used guided inquiry learning model. This model was chosen because it is one of the learning models that can support the achievement of HOTS in learning. This study belongs to the type of R&D (Research and Development) by using Borg and Gall models. The research procedure consisted of potential problems, data collection, product design, design validation, the revised design, product testing, product revision, utility testing, product revision, and bulk products. The instrument used is validation sheets. This study is limited to the stages of product trials and product revision. Product trials conducted are limited trials. The validity of the product carried out by three expert. Based on the data, the validity of the results obtained by the experts with an average of 84.62% with a category that is very valid. Overall, HOTS oriented student worksheets in guided inquiry model are in the category of very valid. So,it can be used  in the process of learning physics to see it’s practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract

Science Process Skills (KPS) are skills that facilitate learners discover facts, determine concepts and apply theories in everyday life. In fact in the KPS implementation class is still low. In addition to the low implementation of KPS, the textbooks used by high schools in West Sumatra have not yet known the value of KPS. The solution to this problem is knowing which books have high KPS that will be used in the teaching and learning process.This study aims to determine the value of KPS in Physics textbooks used by high schools in West Sumatra. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The study population is all physics textbooks for Class X Semester 2 used in West Sumatra. The research sample is the four most books used in West Sumatra High School. The research instrument used has a high validity value. This research instrument uses 10 PPP components which are broken down into 37 PPP indicators.The results obtained that the book used in the classroom as a source of learning for students has 1 sample of books whose KPS scores are in the "Good" category. The other three sample books have KPS values in the "Fair" category. Physics textbooks that have the highest KPS values to books with low KPS grades in sequence according to the book coding are BTP3, BTP4, BTP2 and BTP1 books.

Abstract

The 21st Century is marked by the progress of Science and Technology which is developing rapidly. The 2013 curriculum is one of the government's efforts to answer the challenges of the 21st century. Learning demands in the 2013 curriculum are student-centered learning, integrating literacy, and independence of students in learning. A new reality that hasn't been done well. The solution to overcome this problem is the use of new physics literacy modules. The purpose of this research is to determine the validity and practicality of using new physics literacy modules. This type of research was Research and Development (R&D). The object of research was a new physics module containing literacy in fluid material. The instrument to validate this module was the questionnaire sheet on the validity test. The questionnaire sheet on the validity test consists of four components, namely the appropriateness of content, presentation, linguistics, and graphics. The validator to approve the validation of the physics module consisted of three physics lecturers from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP. The instrument to test this practical module was the questionnaire sheet on the practicality test. The questionnaire sheet on the practicality test consists of four components, which are easy to use, attractiveness, clarity and benefits. The physics module practitioners consisted of two physics teachers and thirty-five students of class XI IPA 3 at SMA N 6 Padang. The data analysis technique was descriptive statistics. Based on the analysis of the data, it can be concluded that the average value of the validity component of the physics module containing the new literacy is 89.35 categorized very well. For the average value of the practicality component according to the teacher is 80,48 and practicality according to students is 83.13 in the excellent category. Thus, the average value of the validation and practical physics modules in new literal fluid can be categorized into excellent categories.

Abstract

One approach suggested by the government to be applied in the learning process is a contextual approach. The contextual approach stimulates students to organize knowledge by relating it to facts in their lives. Physics studies natural phenomena with all their regularities so that it will be suitable if collaborated with a contextual approach. Implementation of contextual approaches in learning physics is determined by the textbook used. Based on the results of a survey conducted in several schools shows that textbooks used in schools come from several different publishers. Given the number of textbooks in circulation, it is necessary to know whether textbooks have been able to facilitate the application of contextual approaches in learning. The solution to this problem is to assess the extent of the second semester XII high school physics textbooks that are widely used today to facilitate the application of contextual approaches. This study aims to determine whether the presentation of high school physics textbooks for Class XII Semester 2 which is widely used today has facilitated the application of the CTL approach in learning. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach in presenting the results of research. The population in this study are all high school physics class XII textbooks used in Indonesia and circulating in West Sumatra and 2 (two) high school physics textbooks that have been assessed and determined by the ministry of education and culture. Sampling in this study with Nonprobability Sampling technique with the type of Purposive Sampling. The research data were obtained from documentation studies, namely textbooks used in learning physics. The research instrument consisted of a physics textbook presentation sheet related to the contextual approach component. The data in this study were analyzed using simple statistics, the analysis conducted on textbooks published by Yrama Widya had a percentage of 80% with the category "in accordance", textbooks published by Erlangga had a percentage of 69% with the category "in accordance", books teaching published by Grafindo Mediapratama has a percentage of 63% with the category "in accordance" and books teaching published by Tiga Srangkai has a percentage of 55% with the category "quite in accordance". The results of the research that have been carried out state that the textbooks analyzed in general have facilitated the contextual approach component in learning.

Abstract

Science Process Skills (SPS) are skills used in scientific inquiry that can facilitate students discovering facts, concepts, and can apply theories in everyday life. One of the supporting science process skills is the textbook. Textbooks are the main source of learning in the learning process. The use of textbooks in West Sumatra varies greatly. This study aims to determine the level of SPS offers in textbooks used in secondary schools in West Sumatra. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach with a population of all physics textbooks for Class XII semester 2 published in Indonesia and used in secondary schools in West Sumatra. The sample of this study were four Physics textbooks that were most widely used in secondary schools in West Sumatra and three of them were recommended by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The instrument used was validated by 3 experts. the first expert got a value of 0.98% categorized as very valid, the second expert obtained a value of 0.96 categorized very valid and the third expert got a value of 0.85 categorized as very valid. The validated instrument has 10 components and is defined on each indicator to be 37 instrument points. Data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation. The results were obtained that physics textbooks written by Muhammad Farchani Rosyid, and published by the Triumvirate in 2016, had the highest SPS bid level, whereas physics textbooks written by Marthen Kanginan and published by Erlangga in 2017 had the lowest SPS service level.

Abstract

The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 which is very influential in human life today, especially in the field of education to create better generations for the nation. Education is demanded to be able to improve qualified human resources. The 2013 revised 2017 curriculum was an attempt by the government to answer the demands of the industrial revolution 4.0 era which aims to shape the character and competence and literacy of students. However, the reality on the ground showed that student literacy has not been implemented well. One solution to overcome these problems is to develop a cognitive conflict based Physics Worksheet. The purpose of this research was to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the student worksheet Physics based on cognitive conflict. This type of research is Development Research using the Plomp model. The object of the research was cognitive conflict based student worksheet. Data source validation results from experts by the Physics lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP, the results of practicality by Physics teachers, as well as the results of the practicality of one to one and small groups and effectiveness by students of class X SMAN 7 Padang. The data analysis technique used were descriptive statistical analysis for product validation and practicality and for the effectiveness of using the percentage technique seen from differences in pretest and posttest. The results of data analysis from the research that has been done as following. First, the cognitive conflict based worksheet has a very strong validity with an average value of 86.35. Second, the use of cognitive conflict-based worksheets has a very strong practicality with an average grade of one to one and small group students respectively at 87.32 and 90.90. Third, the use of cognitive conflict based LKS on straight motion and parabolic motion material is effectively used in the learning process to improve students' new literacy. So, it can be concluded that the worksheet based on cognitive conflict in the material of straight motion and parabolic motion is valid, practical, and effective in increasing the new literacy of class X high school students.
