Abstract

This study aims to analyze the real-world implementation of differentiated instruction—focusing on content, process, and product configurations—at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang, and compare it with the ideal pedagogical standards that should be achieved under current educational frameworks. It specifically examines the systemic paradox where student semester report card grades appear uniform despite wide disparities in actual classroom competence. Employing a qualitative postpositivist approach, data were gathered through detailed document analysis of lesson plans and academic transcripts, alongside layered in-depth interviews with the vice principal of curriculum, subject teachers, and students. The comparative analysis reveals a significant gap between documented ideal planning and real classroom execution. In practice, content and process differentiation remain superficial, hindered by rigid fixed-classroom setups, overwhelming diagnostic test lengths, and a heavy reliance on single slide-presentation media that defaults to a passive peer-tutoring system. Crucially, product differentiation faces a conceptual misunderstanding where final report card grades are artificially homogenized. This uniformity is driven by composite grading formulas that mix cognitive scores with non-academic traits, combined with administrative pressures to push all students past minimum thresholds via endless remedial cycles for bureaucratic compliance and university admission advantages. This study concludes that the traditional report card system has strayed from its ideal function as an authentic portrait of student development, shifting instead into an administrative formality. The impact of this research highlights the urgent need for structural assessment reforms aligned with current national strategic policies, proposing a multi-dimensional report card model that clearly separates pure achievement scores from individual growth metrics to restore academic honesty while preserving inclusive education.

Abstract

So that the supervision of state assets at the KPKNL is still manual. As a result, the data available for decision-making is not always up-to-date, and reporting is time-consuming, not to mention a lack of consistency in record-keeping. Using the waterfall development method, this study developed a web-based dashboard system to address these problems using Laravel and Bootstrap. The interface is designed in Figma, starting from three core pages (Home, Login, and Dashboard), and expanded to 13 functional pages. Available features include real-time asset monitoring, interactive asset charts and tables, asset photo uploads, dropdown filters, report export to PDF and Excel, user management based on RBAC, asset location maps, and user FAQs. To validate functionality, black box testing is used, while to measure system quality, CFP and RCAF Function Point approaches are used. The UI/UX evaluation is conducted by interviewing users, the assessment that the interface is easy to understand, the flow is clear, and the appearance is considered attractive but does not detract from functionality.

Abstract

The alignment between the competencies of Vocational High School (SMK) graduates and the needs of industry is one of the key indicators of the success of vocational education in preparing job-ready workers. However, a competency gap (skill gap) remains evident, resulting in some graduates being unable to meet the competency requirements demanded by industry. This study aims to analyze the factors contributing to the mismatch between graduates' competencies and industry needs at SMK Negeri 1 Motoling. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents consisting of final-year students and alumni and were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that several factors contribute to the competency gap among graduates, including curriculum relevance, the quality of industrial work practice (internship) implementation, soft skills mastery, the availability of learning facilities and infrastructure, and the intensity of school–industry partnerships. Among these factors, soft skills mastery and industry partnerships exert a more dominant influence than the other factors in improving the alignment between graduates' competencies and labor market requirements. These findings suggest that efforts to enhance the quality of vocational education should not only focus on technical competencies but also emphasize the development of non-technical skills and sustainable collaboration with business and industrial sectors. The study implies the need for more adaptive vocational education strategies that respond to the dynamic demands of industry in order to strengthen the relevance and competitiveness of vocational high school graduates.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze leadership strategies in developing environmentally conscious schools through a comprehensive, systematic, and sustainable approach. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical design focusing on leadership practices within the school environment. Data were collected through document analysis and relevant literature review related to educational leadership and environmentally oriented school development. The findings reveal that leadership strategies are implemented through three main aspects. First, the internalization of strong leadership values, where school principals integrate self-reflection and a moral compass as the foundation for decision-making based on integrity, religious values, and character building. Second, the establishment of a clear purpose and the strengthening of collaborative, inclusive, and participatory connections aimed at building collective commitment among all school members. Third, the enhancement of a quality culture through the consistent application of the plan–do–check–act (PDCA) management cycle to ensure program effectiveness, continuous evaluation, and adaptability to change. In addition, the leadership strategy is strengthened through transparent and participatory external partnerships involving various stakeholders. This collaboration is supported by two-way communication, clear role distribution, and the integration of character values into every cooperation process. The results indicate that this leadership approach is capable of creating an environmentally conscious, participatory, and sustainably oriented educational ecosystem. Therefore, value-based leadership strategies are effective in fostering an adaptive, dignified, and environmentally responsible school culture.

Abstract

Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in the Independent Curriculum is expected to develop students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and civic reasoning skills. However, the results of the 2022 PISA (Philosophy of Science and Social Sciences) test show that Indonesian students' scientific literacy is still below the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development average. Furthermore, IPAS learning in elementary schools is still dominated by lecture-based, teacher-centered, and textbook-dependent methods, thus not optimally developing students' analytical and decision-making skills regarding environmental issues. This study aims to analyze the urgency of developing a flipbook e-module based on Problem-Based Learning as an alternative innovative teaching material to strengthen students' civic reasoning skills in the topic of the Impact of Human Activities on the Environment. The method used is the ADDIE model in the first stage, namely Analysis. Data analysis was obtained from questionnaires, interviews, and learning observations. The findings indicate that the flipbook e-module has many advantages according to the needs of students and teachers. Meanwhile, the PBL model can facilitate students in identifying problems, analyzing information, and making decisions based on evidence. Previous research also shows that the development of PBL-based flipbook e-modules at the elementary school level still focuses on improving learning outcomes, while civic reasoning skills have received little attention. Therefore, the development of PBL-based flipbook e-modules oriented toward civic reasoning is a potential innovation to support more contextual, interactive, and meaningful science learning.
