Abstract

The misuse of customer personal data by bank employees in a fictitious credit case demonstrates the weakness of consumer protection in the banking sector. This study aims to analyze legal protection for customers and the legal liability of banks and perpetrators based on Indonesian laws and regulations. The research method used is normative juridical with a statutory and contextual approach. The results show that legal protection is regulated in the Consumer Protection Law, the Personal Data Protection Law, the Banking Law, and the Financial Services Authority Regulation (POJK), both preventively and repressively. However, its implementation remains weak due to suboptimal internal oversight, so that responsibility is placed more on individual perpetrators than on banking institutions

Abstract

The literature on school meal programs is rich in assessing educational and nutritional outcomes, yet limited in providing a realistic evaluation framework for programs still in their early implementation phase. This article develops a phased evaluation framework for the Free Nutritional Meals Program (MBG) in Indonesia through a qualitative comparative study based on document analysis of MBG, PNAE in Brazil, and PM POSHAN in India. A structured focused comparison method was used to examine the legal basis, division of authority, implementation standards, social control mechanisms, and program linkages to the local economy. The analysis yields four main findings: program performance is shaped by legal institutionalization and clarity of mandates; operational standards determine service stability in the early phase; institutionalized social control strengthens accountability; and linking the program to local procurement expands its public value. Based on these findings, this article proposes an MBG evaluation framework with three time horizons: 0–2 years for implementation effectiveness; 3–5 years for educational, nutritional, and local economic outcomes; and 5–10+ years for human resource development impact and policy sustainability. The novelty of this article lies in the development of a time-horizon-based evaluation matrix that is operationalizable for monitoring and subsequent research.

Abstract

This research was conducted at Sweet Furniture Store. The problem in this study is the decline in sales volume and the number of customers in recent years, indicating inconsistent customer loyalty. This study aims to determine the effect of service quality and trust on customer loyalty at Sweet Furniture Store both partially and simultaneously. This study uses a quantitative method with primary data sources through questionnaires and secondary data through company documents. The population in this study were consumers of Sweet Furniture Store with a sample size of 93 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling. Data analysis techniques include validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing (t-test and F-test), and the coefficient of determination. The research results produced a regression equation: Customer Loyalty = 33.271 + 0.628 Service Quality + 0.041 Trust + e. Partially, service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty (t-count 4.645 > t-table 1.661). However, trust does not partially have a significant effect on customer loyalty (t-count 0.695 < t-table 1.661). Simultaneously, service quality and trust have a significant effect on customer loyalty (F-count 13.896 > F-table 3.10). The Adjusted R Square value of 0.236 indicates that the service quality and trust variables contribute 23.6% to customer loyalty, while the remaining 76.4% is influenced by other variables outside of this study

Abstract

Consumer behavior regarding floral arrangements is an evolving trend in the digital era, where impulsive purchasing decisions are heavily influenced by symbolic value, economic factors, and visual stimuli. This study aims to identify the characteristics of impulsive buying and explore the impact of emotional factors and product visualization on impulsive purchase decisions among consumers of floral arrangements. A systematic literature review utilizing the PRISMA approach was conducted, synthesizing 15 empirical studies from various academic databases. The review reveals that impulsive purchases of floral products tend to be spontaneous, hedonic, and symbolic in nature, imbuing each transaction with unique value and meaning. Emotional factors play a crucial role as both a primary driver and a mediating variable linking external stimuli to purchase decisions, while product visuals serve as an efficient initial trigger capable of evoking an emotional resonance in consumers. Furthermore, the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) framework proves relevant in detailing the practical interaction between these factors. The study recommends that floral business operators maximize digital marketing by integrating visual quality with experience-based storytelling. It is expected to contribute to the consumer behavior literature by providing a comprehensive synthesis of the factors influencing impulsive purchases of products possessing emotional and symbolic value, while also suggesting future research utilizing more creative designs.

Abstract

In recent years, the massive urban destruction of Syrian and Palestinian cities created huge amounts of concrete rubble, which requires sustainable post-war reconstruction paradigms. Although reusing or recycling this concrete waste could be economically and ecologically sustainable, the psychosocial consequences associated with refitting war ruins are not fully examined. The community perceived acceptance of rubble-filled gabion walls for reconstruction provides a basis for future research in this area. Drawing on a quantitative survey (N=115) of populations, the study assesses the emotional, symbolic, and practical implications for reusing conflict remnants. Statistical results from nonparametric inferential tests indicate an architectural paradox and psychological divide among the population. While communities recognize the economic advantage of sustainable reconstruction, there is a widespread psychological resistance to visibly exposed war rubble-gabion walls. The findings reveal a statistically significant association between considering rubble as a trauma trigger and an absolute desire to hide it behind conventional, opaque layers. In addition, major differences were found between architecture and engineering professionals who prefer the exposure of material memory of conflict and lay people who are highly opposed to this architectural aesthetic in private living spaces. As a result, this study recommends a trauma-informed approach by suggesting leveraging the circular economy for concealed structural efficiency but carefully adapting sensory sites to hide rubble within the context of homes and saving exposed applications for curated memorial spaces, which help to facilitate the psychological recovery for domicide-affected communities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between social support and subjective well-being among unmarried young adults in Salatiga City. The primary focus of this study is to determine the extent to which the level of social support influences an individual's subjective well-being in the context of early adult development. This study used a quantitative correlational approach, with 159 unmarried young adults participating. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of the Social Support Scale (12 items; α = 0.952) and the Subjective Well-Being Scale (40 items; α = 0.984). Data analysis was performed using the Spearman correlation test because the data were not normally distributed. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between social support and subjective well-being (r = 0.821; p = 0.000), with an effective contribution of 67.4%. The majority of participants fell into the moderate category, both in terms of social support (85.5%) and subjective well-being (88.7%). These findings underscore the importance of strengthening social support in improving individual psychological well-being, thus providing a basis for counseling interventions, community programs, and social policies that emphasize interpersonal support. This research provides an empirical contribution to social psychology by highlighting the role of social support as a protective factor for subjective well-being in early adulthood, a frequently overlooked aspect of Indonesian culture.

Abstract

Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT) plays a strategic role as a frontline entity in narrowing the financial access gap for the "unbankable" population in Indonesia through personalized approaches and profit-sharing principles. However, this strategic position now faces disruptive challenges from the evolution of financial technology—such as digital banks and online lending—which are eroding the traditional market share of Sharia microfinance institutions. This article aims to comprehensively evaluate the financial resilience of BMT Nusantara and map its strategic role in accelerating Sharia financial inclusion, particularly within the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector. The study employs a qualitative approach utilizing a systematic literature review of reputable scholarly articles to provide an in-depth picture of empirical realities. The findings indicate that BMTs' primary competitive advantage lies in emotional proximity, local rootedness, and the internalization of spiritual values—such as *qana’ah* (contentment)—which foster a sense of security and high trust among local clients; these attributes are difficult for modern digital platforms to replicate. Furthermore, the effectiveness of MSME empowerment is driven by the integration of flexible capital provision and intensive business mentoring to mitigate business risks. The study concludes that to ensure long-term resilience, BMTs must reposition their business models by adopting digital technology and enhancing human resource competencies, all while preserving their social identity as empowerment institutions. Practically, this research offers a strategic framework for BMT Nusantara to undergo a sustainable transformation into a resilient and efficient Sharia microfinance institution that retains the trust of the broader community amidst the dynamic competition of the digital economy era.
