Abstract

The aim of this research was to obtain the empirical evidence about the effectiveness of tutorial video on students’ writing of procedure texts. The method used in this research was a quantitative method and the research design was a quasi-experimental. The sample of this research was at the tenth grade students of SMA Prima Tembung academic year of 2020/2021. They were X IPA-1 class as the experimental class, whereas X IPA-2 class as the control one. Each class consisted of 25 students. The experimental class was taught with tutorial video while the control class was taught with teacher’s presentation or without tutorial video. For sampling technique the researcher used purposive sampling. The instrument used in this research was a written test and the scoring of writing rubric was used to score the students’ writing on the pre and posttest. Based on the calculation, the post-test mean scores of the experimental class was 79.32 while that of the control class was 75.44. Then, the result of statistical hypothesis testing by using independent sample t-test found that on degree of significance 5% (? = 0.05), tobserve was 3.108 while t table was 2.001 or tobserve > t table. Therefore, H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Furthermore, the Cohen’s formulation was used in order to know the effect size of tutorial video and the result was 0.80. It proved that tutorial video gave moderate effect and it can be concluded that there was a significant effect of tutorial video on students’ writing of procedure texts at the tenth grade of students SMA Prima Tembung in the academic year of 2020/2021.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of financial literacy on students' financial management behavior. This research is quantitative research, with samples taken using purposive sampling techniques. The population of this study were PGRI Indraprasta University students and the sample in this study was 30 students. The data collection method uses a questionnaire to measure each variable. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of descriptive analysis show an average financial literacy of 37.10 and student financial management behavior of 39.30. The results of the inferential analysis show that the calculated t value (2.832) is in the acceptance area so that the calculated t value is greater than the t table value (1.701). So it can be concluded that H1 is accepted, which means there is an influence between financial literacy on students' financial management behavior.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether the Big Book for dealing with dyslexic students is feasible, practical and effective in the learning process. This research uses the Research and Development (RnD) research method with a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Dessiminate). The instruments used in this research were interview sheets, validation sheets for media experts, material experts, language experts, questionnaires for homeroom teacher responses and student responses as well as tests conducted pretest-posttest to see the effectiveness of the Big Book in overcoming dyslexic students.  The results of this research show that what has been developed received a percentage of 84.16% (media experts), 93.3% (material experts), as well as 100% (homeroom teacher response) and 93% (student response) with very practical criteria. Big Book was also declared effective as seen from the achievement of N-Gain results by getting an N-gain score of 16.44 with an average N-Gain score of 0.782857 with an N-Gain score percentage of 78.28%. Based on the presentation of the results above, it is stated that the Big Book for overcoming dyslexia that has been developed is feasible, practical and effective for use in the learning process. The Big Book developed can help students who have difficulty reading and teachers can use the Big Book as teaching material in the classroom.

Abstract

The research entitled "Development of Komipa Media to Improve Students' Scientific Thinking at MIS AL-Musthafawiyah" was carried out by students who have scientific thinking in the field of Natural Sciences (Natural Sciences). This research shows that teachers use discovery in teaching materials. The aim of this research is to measure the development of students' scientific thinking by using comics as a learning medium. Previously, teachers used traditional media and rarely used comics. This research is an RND (Research and Development) study following the ADDIE model. The number of class III students at MIS Al-Mustafawiyah who took part was 18 people. Collection methods include questionnaires, interviews, and tests before (pretest) and after (posttest). The comic material assessment results show very high accuracy of up to 95%. In terms of language, the figure is 91.66%, which is also considered very important, and for media products it reaches 93.3% and in terms of design it gets a score of 80%.  Teachers' responses to the use of comics as a teaching medium show that comics are a very valid learning medium with a rating of 89.9%. Meanwhile, students' opinions on comics show that learning comics is very practical with a score of 89.2%. which will occur pre and post tests provide the most effective N growth of 86.7%. Based on research results, it is proven that komipa media is very easy and effective in improving students' science/scientific thinking skills at MIS Al-Mustafawiyah and is used by teachers as a solution, especially when the material changes the form of objects.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the dynamics between educators and students in the context of formal education, with a focus on the roles and interactions of both parties in the learning process. The methods used include direct observation in class, in-depth interviews with educators and students, as well as analysis of related documentation. The research results show that learning effectiveness is greatly influenced by the quality of the relationship between educators and students, where good communication and appropriate pedagogical approaches can increase student motivation and participation. Educators who are able to understand students' individual needs and apply inclusive and adaptive teaching methods tend to be more successful in creating a positive and productive learning environment. This research emphasizes the importance of professionalism and empathy in the role of educators as well as the active involvement of students in the educational process to achieve optimal learning outcomes. It is hoped that these findings can contribute to the development of more effective and humane educational strategies.

Abstract

The problems in this study are the low level of mobility, critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of fifth grade students. Lack of motivation, lack of critical thinking skills, and low interest in learning affect learning outcomes. The solution to overcome these problems is to use the PINTU model (project based learning, investigative group, and numbered heads together) in learning. This study aims to describe teacher activities and analyze changes in student activity, critical thinking skills, and student learning outcomes in the natural science content material on the properties and shapes of objects. By using qualitative and quantitative methods of classroom action research (CAR), this research took place in three sessions in class V SDN Habau Hulu (consisting of 10 students). The types of data presented include data on teacher and student activities, critical thinking skills through observation, questionnaires, and student learning outcomes through tests and observations. Indicators of research success and learning completeness were 85% of students achieving KKM scores ? 70. The learning results showed that the number of sessions per session increased along with the acquisition of teacher activity in the implemented learning model, obtained points in Session I of 21 points, Session II of 26 points, and Session II of 28 points. Third Session The level of student activity was 70% in Session I, 80% in Session II, and 100% in Session III. Students’ critical thinking abilities were 60% in Session I, 70% in Session II, and 83% in Session III, increasing to 90%.Meanwhile, the completeness of student learning outcomes in the first session was 40%, the second session was 60%, and the third session was 90%.
