Employees are internal customers for the company. By looking at the salary and fringe benefits accepted by the employees, there are only few companies that could satisfy these internal customers. Another way to increase employee's satisfaction is to implement an employee empowerment program, which means involvement of the employees in every step of the production process, including the delegation of decision making and responsibility. This paper will attempt to provide an adequate description of employee empowerment program and its benefits in increasing employees' motivation and working spirit. Furthermore, employee empowerment will also increase the effectivity of the company as well as improve the customer services. In implementing employee empowerment, the company has to create a conducive internal atmosphere, namely: trust and open management.

Decision making is defined as the selection of a course of action from among alternatives; it is the core of planning. A plan cannot be said to exist unless a decision — a commitment of resources, direction, or reputation — has been made. Think back on the past decision has been made that caused considerable pain for the decision maker, it could be concluded that some of the biggest regrets come from faulty decision making. Sometimes the decision making process is relied on, so-called, "gut instincts", which could make the decision maker fall into the traps. This paper will give some insights into the most well-documented traps in decision making process.

The paper will discuss social responsibility that is related to business. The term 'social responsibility' refers to the responsibility of managers or organizations in carrying out their socially approved missions, to be responsive to, to be congruent with and to interact and live with the forces and elements of their social environment. Social responsibility was still perceived as the burden for almost all of the business society in Indonesia. This perception was then followed by business malpractices that created disadvantages for the society as a whole. Recently, as people were not passive anymore, the business society can no longer do what they want to do without social considerations. Business is not merely a matter of economics. The existence of businesses should provide the society with welfare. This new paradigm is a new challenge for Indonesian businesses today and in the future.
