Abstract

Knife fish (Chitala lopis) is one kind of freshwater fish of high economic value. Therefore the arrest activity continued and resulted in knife fish increasinglyscarce fish. The purpose of this study to determine the reproductive potential ofknife fish. Research carried out for four months in Tulang Bawang river,Lampung. Fish samples collected from the fisherman and gatherers along therivers. Observations were made include: morphology, length and weight, sexratio, gonado maturity level (GML), gonado somatic index (GSI) and fecundity.Total length of knife fish average 50,9 cm, 15,6 cm in height and weighing 883,90grams. Length and weight relationship is expressed by the equationW=0,0459L2,5005 which means that the type of fish growth is negative allometric. The number of knife fish more female than male, which sex ratio between malesand females 1 : 2,3. Most of the knife fish is immature gonads (GML I and II)with 0,35 gonado somatic index. Many knife fish immature gonads because thefish was not spawning season. Fecundity ranged of knife fish is 207-412 eggs oraverage of 290 eggs per fish.

Abstract

The research on the influence of marine ecotourism development towards social and economic life was held on December 20, 2015 until January 10, 2016 in South Pesisir regency of West Sumatra Province. This research aims to knowing the influence of marine ecotourism development towards life social and economic  and identifies the development done by government towards ecotourism. The method used was survey’s  method, the survey method done by observation, documentation and interview. The results of this research show that the influence of ecotourism development around communities Batu Kalang Beach was social disease arising from the development of ecotourism, and culture that does not change with the ecotourism and social processes that cooperation and mutual respect and mutual help among people, an influence on the life economic of the new employment for the community in the field of services and trade, the role of government in the development of attraction Batu Kalang Beach have done the planning, infrastructure development and make regulations for the convenience of visitors who come to Batu Kalang Beach.

Abstract

This research was conducted in April to Mei 2019 to determine the content of organic matter and abundance of phytoplankton, to find out differences in organic matter and phytoplankton abundance between station and to know the relationship between organic matter content and phytoplankton abundance as reference for determining the condition of the Sungai Guntung estuary, Kateman Sub-district, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province. The method used in this study is  survey method, where the sampling locations consists of 4 research stations and each station consists of 3 sampling points. The results showed that organic matter content at station 1 had an average of 11.60 mg/l, station2 8.64 mg/l. Station 3 8.22 mg/l and station 4 8.22 mg/l. Phytopkankton species that found at Sungai Guntung estuary water is 21 species the Isthmia sp, Biddulphia sp, Chaetoceros sp, Rhizosolenia sp, Skeletonema sp, Thalassionema sp, Pleurosigma sp, Nitzschia sp, Synedra sp, Grammatophora sp, Thallassiothrix sp, Fragilaria sp, Navicula sp, Melosira sp, Asterionella sp, Cocconeis sp, Coscinodiscus sp, Stephanopyxis sp, Cyclotella sp, Bacteriastrum sp dan Oscillatoria sp. The highest abundance is in areas far from human settlements and around mangrove ecosystem, while the lowest abundance is in area near residential settlements and ports. Simple linear regression relationship between organic matter and the abundance of phytoplankton in Sungai Guntung estuary has a moderate relationship, where the correlation coefficient (r) = 0.36. The relationship between organic matter and phytoplankton abundance is negative, the higher the value of organic matter, the lower the abundance of phytoplankton..

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that affect fish production(Y) in Kampar regency, the factors that influence the labor factor(X1) and capital factors (X2). The data used are time series data are annualdata from the years 2002 -2008, the source of data is secondary data offish production data, employment data, and data capital, production data takendirectly from the central bureau of statistics (BPS) Kampar district. Analysisof the data used in this study is to use multiple linear regressionmethod to determine the factors affecting fish production in Kampar regency. From the research found a significant relationship exists between labor(X1), capital (X2) tonumber offish production (Y) inKampar regency. For the labor factor of 1.513 X1 andthe capital factor of 0.023 X2 is meaningful for every 1 percent increase in labor force, the number of fish production increasedby 151.3 tonnes of fish, and every 1 percent increase in the amount of capitalincrease fish production increased by 2, 3 tonnes offish production in theKampar district. To prove whether or not a significant factor labor (X1) andcapital (X2) is done using t test, based on the results significantly with the levelof 5%. So is the test f siginikan at level 5%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of fishery aquaculture development program, synergy development of aquaculture culture and to describe strategy of synergy of development of aquaculture fishery in Kampar regency. The research method used is field survey method with interview and questionnaire. The results showed that the implementation of the development of aquaculture reached 55.89% of the realization of the budget of Rp 57.595 billion, with the activity of 11 (eleven) activities / projects, in synergy fisheries development there are two aspects that must be synergized, management aspects (planning, organizing, controlling) and aspects of human resources, (regulation, budgeting, aperature resources), SWOT analysis shows that Kampar Regency has some power to exploit the big opportunities, for the strategy of synerginity of aquaculture development in the first quadrant (one) the government can utilize SO (Strengths-Opportunities).

Abstract

The objective of this research was to investigated the effect of soaking the fish in different water temperature on quality of surimi produced. Farm raised catfish weighing 300-400 g each, was filled, washed, ground and soaked into different chilled water temperature (5°C, 10°C, 15°C and 20°C) for 10 minutes, and made for surimi. The surimi were evaluated for gel strenght (fold and bite test), pH,  protein and ash. The Research was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD), and the difference between treatments were tested by Duncan test. The result indicated that the surimi prepared by soaking the fish in chilled water (15°C) was the best quality of surimi (fold value : 4,6 and bite value : 7,5). The composition of protein, fat and ash of surimi soaked in the chilled water (15°C) was 15.1 % , 0.4 % and 6.3% respectively.

Abstract

Cyprinus carpio has a particular optimum temperature for its appetite.Marine temperature increase and oxygen needs of organism is according to Van’tHoff law that every chemistry change, its reaction rapidity increase by twice tothird times every temperature increase of 10 °C.Treatment tested is in temperature of 26OC; 28OC; 30OC and 32OC.Parameter observed is fish relative weight growth, length increase and survivalrate.Research yield indicating that the relative weight growth (%) and larvaelength increase of highest gold fish (Cyprinus carpio) is that on temperature of28 OC) and according to equals Y = -56.597x2 + 3204x - 41537 it is known thatthe optimum temperature for larvae supervising of Cyprinus carpio is intemperature of 28.305OC.

Abstract

This research was conducted in April - June 2016, which aims to determine the effect of the injection of different doses sGnRH + Domperidone on the quality and quantity of eggs, as well as the survival of fish larvae siban (Cyclocheilichthys apogon) aged 40 days. The method used in this research was the experiment method, where data were analyzed by using Anova and descriptive. The results showed that the best quality and quantity of eggs were obtained on injecting sGnRH + Domperidone with high dose of 0.7 ml / kg body weight, as well as the absolute length growth, the absolute weight growth, daily weight growth rate and survival of larvae aged 40 days also found in the treatment sGnRH + Domperidone injection of the same dose. Water quality during the study was in the range of tolerance of fish life.
