Abstract

Duflow surface water hydrodynamic model aims to describe the behaviour of rivers in theirnatural conditions or state. As in all natural conditions inhomogenities and inconsistencies doprevail, thus proving difficult to integrate all sub systems making up a single system. Despitethat, Duflow within its limits generate results that can be applied in real life situations such asplanning and construction of engineering structures, decision-making, and environmentalconservation and wetlands management. The objective of this case study was to establish adesign flood recommendable for mitigation by using duflow surface hydrodynamic model.Various design flows are simulated against the different proposed structures hence, the optimalstructure is finally recommended when economical, social and environmental constraints areconsidered in the decision making process. The measure of building a green-storage is the bestand optimal structure for flood mitigation.

Abstract

The research on erosion level (TBE) in the sub watershed of Tapung kanan has beenconducted on February-March 2013 using the USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) bythe formula A = RxKxLSxC.P. The results showed that the change of use / land coverimpact on the actual increase in the level of erosion that occurs in each type of landuse. Erosion hazard level (TBE) which occurs in the sub watershed of Tapung Kanan, for each type of use / land cover has a magnitude which varies, with an average erosionrate of 130.18 tons / Ha / year, and the distribution for each class TBE is: very Low(SR): 16986.50 Ha (7.17)%; Low: 35343.73 ha (14.92%); Moderate: 142,155.01 ha(60.01%); high: 32109.48 Ha (13.55%) and very high: 10290.71 ha (4.34%). TSL valueof Tapung Kanan Sub watershed which obtained from this research ranged from 14.40-30.00 tons / ha / year, while the average value of the actual erosion of 130.14 tons / ha/ year, thus the Erosion hazard level of Tapung kanan Sub Watershed exceeds thepermitted threshold, the SDR value of 0.463, still below the SDR standard value of0.490.

Abstract

Compounds that are often used by society in controlling fly populations are chemical insecticides. Inappropriate use of chemical insecticides will harm the environment and human health directly and long term, such as poisoning, respiratory disorders, resistance to insects and environmental pollution. One other alternative to control house flies is organic insecticide that it is basic ingredients come from nature. The purposes of this study were for analyze the effectiveness of organic insecticides in controlling house fly vectors, to determine the concentration of LC 50% organic insecticides to house flies and to find out the impact of organic insecticides on environmental and economic aspects. This study used an experimental method and a completely randomized design (CRD) with four different treatments, namely control, 10% betel leaf extract + 4 ml EM4, 20% betel leaf extract + 4 ml EM4 and 30% betel leaf extract + 4 ml EM4. Each treatment was carried out with three replications. The results of the analysis showed the least amount of mortality of house fly in the control treatment ie one house fly, while the highest average of house flies mortality are 30% betel leaf extract treatment + 4 ml EM4 that are 8.66 house flies. Based on the ANOVA test, the p value <0.05 was concluded that the mean of the four research treatments differed significantly. Based on probit analysis, it was found that the concentration of LC 50% in house flies was 13.09%. Organic insecticide in terms of environment and economy has a positive impact, it can reduce odor in organic waste and has economic value compared to chemical insecticides.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine the capacity of the Waduk Cipta Karya as much garbage and sediment into the reservoir, the problems that occur in the Waduk Cipta Karya and revitalizing Waduk Cipta Karya. This study was conducted in approximately Waduk Cipta Karya because although this reservoir has been constructed for the reduction of the flooding that occurred in District Tampan, but floods still occur when it rains. The results showed that the capacity of the Waduk Cipta Karya has declined This is because the waste and sedimentation in reservoirs. problems that occur in the Waduk Cipta Karya is the number of bins that are in dams and reservoirs supporting facilities are poorly maintained, and the revitalization efforts that can be done by the government and the public about the form of the arrangement of drainage and improvement of waterways, sediment control, provision of counseling and guidance to the community around reservoirs and land use regulation. Factors that cause inundation and flooding in District Tampan is the absence of water infiltration due to changes in land use and habits of the people who throw garbage into the waterways.
