Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of learning to classify living things using ethnobotany-oriented Student Worksheets (LKPD) on the critical and creative thinking skills of junior high school students. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. This approach uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach. This method was chosen to determine the validity and practicality of developing learning media, as well as the effectiveness of using project-based learning media with an ethnobotanical approach to improve critical and creative thinking skills. Meanwhile, the development model used is the ADDIE model. The subjects were 33 seventh-grade students divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data collection was carried out through a validated critical and creative thinking ability test. The results showed that the use of ethnobotany-oriented LKPD significantly improved students' critical and creative thinking skills compared to conventional learning. Learning that integrates local wisdom is able to provide a real context that strengthens students' analysis, synthesis, and creativity in understanding the classification of living things. Thus, ethnobotany LKPD can be recommended as an alternative science learning media in junior high schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the principal's transformational leadership on improving the quality of education in elementary schools in Sekbin IV, Paguyangan District, Brebes Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a multiple case study method involving three elementary schools as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with principals, teachers, and administrative staff, as well as related documentation. Data analysis was carried out inductively to identify patterns and themes related to the implementation of transformational leadership and its impact on the quality of education. The results of the study indicate that transformational leadership implemented by the principal in increasing teacher motivation, developing professional competence, and creating a collaborative and innovative learning environment. Effective leadership can help schools achieve improved student learning outcomes. The implementation of transformational leadership varies in each school, depending on the context and characteristics of each school. In conclusion, the principal's transformational leadership is a key factor in achieving improved quality of education in elementary schools. This study provides implications for the development of leadership training programs for principals to support continuous improvement in the quality of education.

Abstract

The implementation of democratic, good, and wise government administration is a top priority in efforts to support the progress of national civilization in the era of globalization. In reality, public services are still marred by various problems such as complicated procedures and low responsiveness that impact public trust. This study aims to analyze the implementation of good governance to improve the quality of public services and identify obstacles and their implementation. The application of good governance principles including professionalism, accountability, and transparency, Government Regulation Number 101 of 2000 and UNDP standards are strategic instruments of bureaucratic reform. Success rests on synergy: the government as regulator, the private sector as actors, and the public as service users. This effort still faces obstacles such as limited quality of human resources, discipline from service providers, and suboptimal public participation. The conclusion is that the implementation of good governance in public services involves several roles in order to create good public services. Standardization of quality services and orientation to community needs are absolute requirements for realizing national welfare.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah alat bantu dalam proses kesiapan diri untuk menempuh rintangan dalam setiap kehidupan seorang individu, pendidikan merupakan jembatan untuk meningkatkan potensi diri mereka. Yang ingin dituju dalam penelitian ini ialah mengkaji korelasi media pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan minat berlajar siswa di tingkat SMP. Diterapkan melalui metode kualitatif sebagai upaya untuk menganalisis dan mengkaji pengaruh media pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa di tingkat SMP. Melalui studi literatur, penelitian ini mengumpulkan berbagai kajian teoritis dari banyak referensi, dan berbagai literatur ilmiah yang berhubungan dalam kegiatan pendidikan yang menjadi fokus utama penelitian. Serangkaian proses tersebut berupaya untuk menemukan data yang deskriptif dan sesuai dengan kualitatif deskriptif dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara kedua variable. Manfaatnya, diharapkan hasil penelitian memberikan kontribusi ilmiah dalam bidang pendidikan. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh media pembelajaran, kompetensi guru dalam menggunakannya, serta dukungan sarana prasarana berkontribusi besar mencetak minat belajar siswa yang lebih tinggi. Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran memberikan hasil yang signifikan terhadap keterlibatan siswa dalam kegiatan belajar, perhatian yang lebih tinggi terhadap materi, serta meningkatnya rasa senang dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Dengan media yang dirancang secara menarik dan sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa, proses pembelajaran dapat berjalan lebih responsif dan menciptakan suasana yang nyaman.

Abstract

Dalam ranah pendidikan, peran seorang pengajar melampaui fungsi edukatif semata. Mereka kerap berhadapan dengan beragam bentuk konflik potensial, seperti tuntutan, tindakan intimidatif, hingga agresi fisik, yang sering kali bersumber dari ketidakpuasan wali murid terhadap metode atau capaian pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaturan perlindungan profesi guru dalam sistem peraturan perundang-undangan di Indonesia dan prinsip hukum (seperti kepastian hukum, keadilan, dan kemanfaatan) diterapkan dalam memberikan perlindungan hukum terhadap guru dari yang timbul dari orang tua peserta didik, penelitian ini menerapkan metode normatif yuridis melalui pendekatan analisis regulasi dan eksaminasi kasus guna menelaah tingkat perlindungan hukum yang tersedia bagi para pendidik. upaya sistematis diperlukan untuk memperkuat kerangka regulasi yang ada. Langkah-langkah strategis yang direkomendasikan meliputi, penguatan dan harmonisasi aturan hukum yang lebih spesifik dan tegas, intensifikasi sosialisasi peraturan kepada komunitas sekolah dan masyarakat luas guna membangun pemahaman bersama. Perancangan dan implementasi sistem proteksi yang lebih efektif dan terintegrasi. Dengan langkah-langkah tersebut, diharapkan terwujud jaminan keamanan serta pengakuan terhadap profesionalisme guru dalam menunaikan kewajibannya, yang pada akhirnya akan menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan yang kondusif dan berkeadilan bagi semua pemangku kepentingan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of active learning strategies to increase student participation at Supriyadi Elementary School. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that various active learning models, such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Project-Based Learning (PjBL), Discovery Learning, and Cooperative Learning (STAD), have been implemented in an integrated manner. The implementation of these multiple models has been proven to significantly increase student participation, as indicated by increased questioning, involvement in discussions, and the ability to collaborate. These findings support recent research (2023–2024) which states that active learning based on student-centered learning is effective in increasing student engagement. Thus, the varied implementation of active learning strategies positively contributes to creating interactive, innovative, and meaningful learning.
