This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of game-based learning strategies in improving physical education learning outcomes among fifth-grade students. A quasi-experimental research design with a pre-test and post-test control group model was employed. The sample consisted of 40 students from SDN Gondangan, divided equally into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received instruction through a structured game-based learning approach, while the control group followed conventional physical education methods. A purposive sampling technique was used to select participants based on equivalent academic and physical performance backgrounds. Data were collected using standardized physical education achievement tests administered before and after the intervention. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses, including paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests, were conducted to evaluate learning outcomes. The results revealed statistically significant improvements in both groups; however, the experimental group exhibited a significantly greater increase in mean scores compared to the control group (p < 0.001). These findings suggest that game-based learning is more effective in enhancing student engagement and achievement in physical education. The study concludes that integrating game-based strategies into elementary physical education curricula can lead to improved learning outcomes and foster more active, participatory learning environments. These findings offer valuable implications for curriculum development, instructional practice, and future educational research in primary school settings.

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia introduces significant pedagogical shifts, particularly in how educational resources are managed and utilized in primary schools. One of the key components of this curriculum is IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial), an integrated subject combining science and social studies aimed at promoting contextualized, inquiry-based learning. This study explores the strategies employed by SDN Gondang, a public primary school in East Java, in managing educational resources to support effective IPAS instruction under the Merdeka Curriculum framework. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with teachers and school leaders, direct classroom observations, and analysis of instructional documents. The findings reveal that the school implements various adaptive strategies, including collaborative development of contextual teaching materials, integration of local environmental content, use of simple digital media, and peer mentoring among teachers. Despite facing limitations such as infrastructure gaps and varying levels of teacher preparedness, SDN Gondang demonstrates innovative and resourceful practices aligned with the curriculum’s principles. The study highlights the importance of leadership, professional collaboration, and continuous capacity building in enabling effective educational resource management for curriculum reform. These insights offer valuable implications for schools across similar contexts seeking to strengthen the implementation of integrated subjects like IPAS.

This research aims to develop a social studies curriculum that is integrated with local and global contexts to strengthen the character of the nation in elementary school students. The development was carried out in response to the need for a curriculum that is able to bridge the gap between local wisdom values and global issues within the framework of the Independent Curriculum and the Pancasila Student Profile. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Borg & Gall model approach which is modified into six main stages: preliminary study, curriculum design, expert validation, revision, limited trial, and final revision. Product validity was tested by five experts, practicality was assessed by teachers and students, and effectiveness was measured through a pre-test and post-test design of one group on 41 students. The results showed that the curriculum developed was very valid (88.6%), practical (positive response of 92% of teachers and 88% of students), and statistically effective (t = 10.42; p < 0.05) in improving students' social behavior. These findings suggest that a local-global integrated social studies curriculum can be an innovative approach to character-based contextual learning.

This study aims to explore an adaptive inclusion education model for students with mobility barriers at SD Karang Jati Blora. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through classroom observations, in depth interviews with classroom teachers, Special Assistant Teachers, students, and parents, and field documentation. This study found that inclusive learning strategies are applied through assignment modification, flexibility of evaluation methods, and the active role of Special Assistant Teachers as academic and emotional companions. The findings also showed that students' social interaction with movement barriers took place positively in the classroom, supported by a culture of peer empathy and a non-discriminatory approach to teachers. Parents play an important role in supporting children's learning processes, even though they have not been systemically involved in the preparation of learning. The main challenge facing schools is the absence of specialized training, formal documentation systems such as the Individualized Education Plan, on the role of Special Assistant Teachers. The study recommends the need for more affirmative education policies, ongoing training, and strengthening collaboration between stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of adaptive inclusion practices in primary schools.
