Abstract

Background: Adolescent mental health problems are increasing and have become a significant public health concern, as adolescence represents a critical developmental transition characterized by physical, cognitive, emotional, and social changes. Parenting style is recognized as an important determinant of adolescent mental health. Inappropriate parenting styles, such as authoritarian and permissive approaches, have been associated with emotional problems, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral regulation difficulties. Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 246 students recruited from five senior high schools in Bandung Indonesia. Adolescent mental health was assessed using the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ), while parenting style was measured using the Parenting Style and Dimensions Questionnaire (PSDQ). Data were analyzed using Spearman’s rank correlation test. Results: The majority of respondents reported democratic parenting (66.7%), and more than half were classified as having normal mental health status (51.6%). Statistical analysis revealed a significant relationship between parenting style and adolescent mental health (p = 0.032; p < 0.05), with a very weak positive correlation (r = 0.136).Conclusion: Parenting style was significantly associated with adolescent mental health, although the strength of the relationship was very weak. Democratic parenting was associated with more favorable mental health outcomes compared to authoritarian and permissive parenting styles. These findings highlight the importance of collaborative efforts between families and schools to support optimal adolescent psychological development.

Abstract

Background: The success of an agency in building a brand image depends on the good quality, comfort and status that the agency has provided to consumers. A strong brand image allows agencies to gain direct trust from consumers. Brand image or commonly known as Brand image is the perception formed in the minds of consumers regarding a brand, which reflects the values, identity and personality associated with the product or service. Brand image is also considered a valuable intangible asset (intangible assets) of a company. A positive image allows a company to gain reputation value and competitive advantage. A good image will increase customer satisfaction, service quality, loyalty, and repurchase intentions. Methods: This research is a literature review literature study. The author used the PRISMA systematic review method, which includes merging, filtering, inclusion, and eligibility based on article findings which were then analyzed. Results: The Influence of Brand image and Service Quality on Patient Loyalty with Patient Satisfaction as an intervening variable is not only studied through a direct relationship to all variables, but also an analysis of each variable by examining the influence of brand image on patient satisfaction, the influence of brand image on patient loyalty, service quality on patient loyalty, the influence of service quality on patient satisfaction and the influence of patient satisfaction on patient loyalty. Conclusion: Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that brand image and service quality influence patient loyalty. This means that patient satisfaction is an important variable in determining whether patients will reuse a given healthcare service

Abstract

Background: Patient safety is a fundamental principle in healthcare systems aimed at ensuring safe and high-quality healthcare services. However, Indonesian regulations concerning healthcare workers with communicable diseases remain inadequate, particularly regarding periodic health screening and risk-based practice restrictions. This study aimed to analyze the Indonesian legal framework from a patient safety perspective and to formulate a risk-based regulatory model. Methods: This study employed normative legal research using statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches. The statutory approach examined Indonesian laws and regulations related to patient safety, healthcare workers, infection prevention and control, and labor law. The conceptual approach analyzed principles of health law and bioethics, including patient safety, non-maleficence, beneficence, and the precautionary principle. The comparative approach compared Indonesian regulations with international standards issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Health Service (NHS). Data were collected through documentary and library research using primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively through grammatical interpretation, systematic interpretation, and legal harmonization analysis. Results: The study found that Indonesian regulations have not comprehensively regulated periodic health screening, risk-based practice restrictions, and monitoring systems for healthcare workers with communicable diseases. Significant normative gaps and legal uncertainty remain regarding the balance between healthcare workers’ rights and patient safety. Compared with CDC and NHS standards, Indonesia has not yet optimally implemented a risk-based regulatory approach. Conclusion: Indonesia requires a comprehensive risk-based health regulatory framework integrating patient safety, healthcare workers’ rights, and proportional supervisory mechanisms. The proposed “Risk-Based Integrated Health Regulation” model may serve as a foundation for future health law reform and patient safety protection in Indonesia.

Abstract

Background: Advanced technological interventions, specifically near-infrared vein visualization devices, have emerged as potential solutions to facilitate real-time vascular observation. This study aimed to analyze the comprehensive effect of utilizing a vein viewer on the clinical success rate of establishing peripheral intravenous access among pediatric patients. Methods: This study employed a descriptive correlational design with a quantitative approach and a retrospective cross-sectional method. The research was conducted at the Emergency Unit of X Hospital, Tangerang, utilizing a total sampling technique that gathered secondary records of 85 pediatric patients aged 0–18 years who underwent peripheral intravenous insertion facilitated by the Vein Viewer Vision 2 device between January and December 2024. Univariate analysis described the frequency distributions of patient age, body weight, procedure duration, and puncture frequency. Bivariate evaluation was executed using the Chi-Square test to evaluate the statistical significance of relationships. Results: First-attempt clinical success in securing peripheral intravenous access reached 68.2%, with the majority of successful procedures completed in less than 10 minutes (68.2%) and requiring exactly one puncture attempt (67.1%). Bivariate statistical testing revealed that pediatric body weight, procedure duration, and the total number of puncture attempts exerted highly significant influences on the final success of intravenous access (p < 0.001). Conversely, the chronological age of the pediatric patients demonstrated no statistically significant correlation with procedural success (p > 0.05).Conclusion: The implementation of near-infrared vein viewer technology significantly sustains high first-attempt insertion success and shortens procedural duration in challenging emergency pediatric cohorts. The device serves as a vital clinical adjunct, particularly for patients with compromised nutritional status or low body weight. Future research should integrate larger multi-center experimental frameworks to expand clinical generalization across diverse pediatric nursing environments.
