Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is a learning assessment activity that trains students' higher order thinking skills. This is because there are no questions specifically designed to train students' higher-level thinking and the questions used by teachers in learning assessment activities are still in the types of remembering (C1), understanding (C2), and applying (C3) questions. This research aims to develop high-level thinking ability test questions that meet the requirements of question validity, reliability, and question accuracy. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) which uses the ADDIE model with five stages, namely analysis, planning, development, and evaluation. The subject of this study is a student of class X of MAS Islamiyah Tamiang. The instruments used in this study are questionnaire response and interview instruments. The data analysis techniques used are construct validity, reliability, and practicality tests. Based on the results of the analysis obtained at the implementation stage, test questions were produced in accordance with the criteria that had been set, namely meeting valid, reliable and practical criteria used to find out the results of students' abilities during learning activities, judging from the results of the validity test categorized as valid categories. The reliability test results have a value of 0.863 including with a very high category, an average difficulty test result of 0.65 whose difficulty level has good quality and an average discriminating power test result of 0.58 with good ability and a practicality test of 82% with a very practical category

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools (SD-IT) in Koto Baru District, Dharmasraya Regency. The Independent Curriculum was introduced by the government in 2021 as an effort to restore learning affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and improve the quality of education through a project-based learning approach. This study evaluates teacher readiness, the implementation process, and the impact on student motivation in the implementation of this curriculum. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The research population is based on a sample taken from data obtained in the form of numbers. In this study, the samples taken were 64 teachers and 33 Class V students at SD IT Al-Ihsan, SD-IT Al Bina, and SD-IT Sakinah. Data collection was carried out using a closed questionnaire that had previously been validated to experts (judgment experts). The data obtained in the field was analyzed descriptively. The results of the research on teachers and students of SD-IT in Koto Baru Dharmasraya District show that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum for teachers and students has been very good with an average score of 85.68% for teachers and 87.27% for students

Abstract

This research aims to develop an effective hybrid learning model to improve students' language skills. The methodology used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The subject of this research is students of language study programs at universities who are involved in language learning. Subjects were selected by purposive sampling, namely students who participated in the language learning program and had the potential to benefit from the application of the hybrid model. The research instruments consisted of questionnaires, tests, observations, and interviews. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of the study show that the hybrid learning model developed is effective in improving students' speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills.

Abstract

This study discusses the process of marketing educational services at MTs Al-Ikhlas Keban II-Musi Banyuasin. The research is qualitative in nature, employing a descriptive approach. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques involve data collection, data presentation, verification, and drawing conclusions. To ensure the validity of the data, the researcher used triangulation, which consists of time triangulation, method triangulation, and source triangulation. The findings of this research indicate that the marketing of educational services at MTs Al-Ikhlas Keban II has been implemented effectively. The products offered by the madrasah meet the needs and expectations of the users. The marketing of educational services is conducted through a well-organized process and effective educational customer strategies, spreading information about quality and products via social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, as well as using banners. This process is also supported by skilled human resources in their respective fields. The marketing costs are covered by the madrasah budget and do not hinder the process. Prospective students are not charged any registration fees. The madrasah is strategically located, surrounded by many residents and several elementary schools/madrasah ibtidaiyah

Abstract

This research discusses the analysis of the need for facilities and infrastructure at SMP Negeri 11 Palembang. This study is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection methods include interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques involve data collection, data presentation, verification, and drawing conclusions. To ensure the validity of the data, the researcher used triangulation. It can be concluded that the needs analysis of facilities and infrastructure at the school has been well implemented. The purpose of this analysis is to identify the facilities and infrastructure needed by the school community. The analysis process begins with compiling a list of needs through coordination meetings between the principal, the vice principal in charge of facilities and infrastructure, teachers, staff, and administrative employees. The second step is cost estimation by estimating the required costs. The third step is setting priorities based on the results of the coordination meeting, considering the urgency or level of importance. The final step is to prepare a procurement plan, which includes a report on the results of the school's needs analysis, classification of needs, and the preparation of a proposal submitted to the City Education Office. If approved, the proposal will be reviewed and assessed for feasibility to obtain approval from the relevant parties

Abstract

This research aims to develop educational game products for use in learning. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) development method with a 4D development model which consists of 4 stages, namely define, design, development and disseminate. The validity test was carried out by 3 experts, namely 1 material expert validator and 2 media expert validators. Based on validity tests by material experts, results were obtained with a percentage of 85.4% in the valid category. The results of the validity test with media expert I and media expert II obtained a percentage of 96% with a very valid category. The practicality test results obtained a percentage of 95% in the very practical category. Based on the results of validity and practicality, it can be concluded that the educational games in Activity P5 are valid and practical to use in learning

Abstract

Learning media is a tool used to convey subject matter to students in learning activities. However, there are still many schools that use learning media that are less attractive so that students tend to get bored in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to describe the development of educational games using the gamification method and produce educational games using gamification methods that are valid, practical, and effective in improving the learning outcomes of high school grade X students equivalent in Informatics. This type of research is development research that uses the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) development model. Validation test data from the material aspect obtained an average score of 4.80 with the criteria "Very Suitable". Meanwhile, in terms of media tested by two media validators, an average score was obtained from validator 1 of 4.93 in the "Very Valid" category and from media expert 2 of 4.87 in the "Very Valid" category. The practicality test results obtained an average score of 4.55 in the "Very Practical" category. The results of the effectiveness test obtained an average N-gain score of 68.18% which is included in the "Quite Effective" category. Based on this assessment, the educational game media developed is very suitable and effective for use in learning activities

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of observations, where students are not used to solving critical thinking problems, especially PISA questions. This study aims to describe students' critical thinking skills in solving PISA questions. This type of research is a type of quantitative descriptive research. The sample in this study is 30 students of Class IX-F SMP Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. The data collection technique used is a test of critical thinking skills in PISA questions. The collected data is analyzed by the procedure of analyzing the results of the work, presenting the data and drawing conclusions. The results of the data analysis showed that students' critical thinking skills in solving PISA questions in class IX-F SMP Negeri 1 Bukittinggi as a whole were classified in the low category with a percentage of 52.6% and different for each indicator. This can be seen in the completion of students' pisa questions on 4 indicators of critical thinking ability, namely Interpretation is 67% in the high category, for the Analysis, Evaluation and Inference indicators are classified in the low category with 56.44%, 43.83% and 45.16% respectively. So it is concluded that the level of students' critical thinking ability in solving PISA questions in class IX-F SMP Negeri 1 Bukittinggi is classified as low

Abstract

Mathematics learning at SMP Negeri 4 Ciawigebang generally still relies on textbooks and lecture methods, making the learning process monotonous and less interesting. This research aims to improve mathematical skills using Scratch media. The research method used was quantitative with a Quasi Experimental design, Pretest-Posttest Control Design, at SMP Negeri 4 Ciawigebang. The research population was students in grades 8b and 8e, totaling 54 students. Data was collected through observation, tests and questionnaires. The research results show that there is an increase in student learning outcomes after applying Scratch media to the material on two-variable linear equation systems.

Abstract

This research has a problem formulation of how to create learning media using the Animaker application, how to apply the Animaker application as a learning media in photography material, what are the student learning outcomes in photography material using learning media based on the Animaker application, with the aim of finding out how to create learning media using animaker application, to find out how to apply the animaker application as a learning medium in photography material, to find out student learning outcomes in photography material using learning media based on the animaker application. Research that uses a quantitative approach with Quasi Experimental methods, especially the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. This research will be carried out at SMK PGRI Ciawigebang with research subjects of 47 class X DKV students. Data collection instruments include questionnaires and tests, as well as data analysis techniques using inferential statistics. This research aims to evaluate the effect of using Animaker learning media on student learning outcomes in photography material. The benefits of this research are expected to increase student interest and learning achievement, as well as provide knowledge and experience for researchers.
