Abstract

The Qur'an, as the primary source of Islamic teachings, contains various moral messages aimed at directing the individual and social behavior of humanity. This study aims to explore the influence of moral messages in the Qur'an on social behavior in the context of contemporary Muslim society. Through a literature approach, the study identifies and analyzes Qur'anic moral values and their application in social life. The results show that moral values such as justice, patience, kindness, and cooperation taught in the Qur'an have great potential in shaping positive social behavior in Muslim societies. Social practices such as zakat and social care are tangible applications of these values, showing a significant influence on social solidarity and harmony. However, challenges such as divergent interpretations, cultural influences and socio-economic conditions affect the way these values are applied in real life. The findings call for a more integrative and contextual approach to understanding and applying the Qur'ānic moral messages in social practice.

Abstract

A thematic study of Quranic verses on leadership and management reveals how Islam emphasizes leadership that is just, integrity, and service, where leaders are not only expected to achieve organizational goals but are also responsible for the well-being and growth of individuals in their communities. Quranic verses, such as in Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Sad, provide guidance on ethical and transformative leadership values, supporting the establishment of leadership models that prioritize moral and spiritual aspects in management practices and contemporary organizational strategies. The study in this research uses the literature research method. The results show that Islam emphasizes leadership roles that not only prioritize goal achievement and performance, but also pay great attention to justice, integrity, and service to the community. The findings open new insights into the concepts of transformative and servant leadership, and offer the view that leadership in Islam includes strong moral and spiritual aspects. The implications of these findings are not only relevant for leadership and management theory, but also for organizational practices that seek to integrate ethical and spiritual values in their daily activities.

Abstract

Islamic teachings state that life and death are under the control of Allah, and therefore, no human being is allowed to take away the right to life from another person. This writing aims to broaden the knowledge of others about the discussions surrounding the history of human rights in the West, Islam's view of human rights and the conflicts that occur between human rights and Shari'ah. The method used in this research is to use a qualitative approach, by applying the descriptive-analytical method. The results of this study state that there are five main principles of human rights in Islam, including the principle of protection of religion, soul, mind, offspring, and property. One of the reasons for the conflict between shari'ah and human rights is that Islamic laws are only understood by the majority of the population. Islamic laws are only understood by the majority of the Muslim community, while human rights are understood by all human beings globally, regardless of their religion.

Abstract

Studying the science of kalam is one of the most important aspects and is included as a fundamental component of faith. Firstly, we express it verbally; secondly, we implement it through the pillars with actions, and thirdly, we believe it in our hearts. To strengthen this conviction, it is crucial to delve into and comprehend the theology of kalam. In order to make our verbal expressions convincing and firm, we need the knowledge of theology, particularly the study of monotheism, which deals with the concept of divinity. This study of monotheism has evolved into the science of kalam. In this academic work, the author endeavors to elucidate the history of kalam, study the theology within kalam, especially focusing on the Mu'tazilah schools of thought within kalam theology. The aim is to enhance the understanding of Mu'tazilah, explore their origins, identify key figures, and examine their teachings. The author aims to address the issues surrounding these two groups, to comprehend kalam theology deeply, and to recognize the thoughts, works, ideas of theologians, as well as the various schools of thought that have emerged within kalam theology. The author employs two methods: firstly, by reading books and visiting campus and local libraries, and secondly, by utilizing the internet to access additional references. Thus, Mu'tazilah are considered as two of the theological schools within Islam that can be categorized as factions.
