Abstract

Increasingly intense business competition requires entrepreneurs to thoroughly understand the factors that drive consumers to make purchasing decisions. This study aimed to determine the extent to which distribution channels, product availability, and price influence consumer purchasing decisions at the Apong Cricket Farming Business in Tebing Tinggi City. A total of 96 respondents were involved in this research through an incidental sampling technique, with data collected via questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression on SPSS version 25.In terms of individual influence, distribution channels and price proved to be significant, with significance values of 0.002 and 0.000, respectively, whereas product availability did not show a significant effect, with a value of 0.378. When tested simultaneously, the three variables collectively proved to significantly influence purchasing decisions, yielding a calculated F-value of 26.277 and a significance level of 0.000. Furthermore, the Adjusted R Square value of 0.444 implies that 44.4% of the variance in purchasing decisions can be explained by the three variables in this model. These results indicate that price stability and distribution effectiveness are the two main factors that micro-agribusiness entrepreneurs must consider when designing well-targeted marketing strategies.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of compensation and work discipline on work productivity through employee performance at PT Bank Aceh Syariah Main Branch Office, Banda Aceh. Using a quantitative survey approach, data were collected from 153 permanent employees selected from a population of 251 employees. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The findings indicate that compensation and work discipline have positive and significant effects on both employee performance and work productivity. Employee performance also positively influences work productivity and partially mediates the relationships between compensation, work discipline, and work productivity. Work discipline emerged as the strongest predictor of employee performance, while employee performance was identified as the most influential determinant of work productivity. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening compensation systems and promoting work discipline to enhance employee performance and sustain organizational productivity in the Islamic banking sector.

Abstract

The stagnation of patient visits in the Emergency Department of RSHPD may be influenced by patient experience and satisfaction with healthcare services. This study aims to analyze the influence of patient experience based on Patient-Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) on patient visits mediated by patient satisfaction. A quantitative survey design is used involving 341 respondents who visit the emergency department from January to March 2026. Data are collected using an electronic questionnaire integrated with the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach. The results show that patient experience based on PREMs significantly influences patient visits and patient satisfaction. Patient satisfaction also has a significant positive effect on patient visits. Furthermore, patient satisfaction mediates the relationship between patient experience based on PREMs and patient visits. This study indicates that positive patient experience and higher patient satisfaction may increase patient visits to emergency department services. Therefore, hospitals should continuously improve service quality and patient-centered care to enhance patient experience and patient satisfaction.

Abstract

The Indonesian baby care industry faces uncertainty driven by economic volatility, rapid digital transformation, changing consumer preferences, demand for product safety, and intensifying competition. These conditions challenge companies to maintain long-term market leadership using strategic planning approaches. This study aims to develop strategic adaptability for sustaining market leadership in Indonesia’s baby care industry through a scenario planning approach. This research conducted a qualitative method using semi-structured interviews with internal and external industry experts. Interview findings were formulated into driving forces, followed by prioritization assessment to identify the two major critical uncertainties shaping the future industry environment. Then, the four plausible future scenarios were developed, namely The Battle Arena, The Golden Age, The Dark Times and The Old Guard, along with early warning signals to anticipate changes in macroeconomic and industry conditions. The findings indicate that strategic adaptability is essential for sustaining market leadership under uncertain market condition. The study further integrated scenario planning with an evaluation of current strategy to identify strategic gaps under future scenario. A TOWS matrix was subsequently formulated. It resulted in several strategic recommendation pillars with different adaptive adjustments across scenarios, followed by implementation roadmap for the next five years.

Abstract

Climate change has increased the vulnerability of coastal areas to abrasion, tidal flooding, and ecosystem degradation, necessitating adaptation efforts that actively involve the community. Tanjung Pasir Village, Teluknaga District, Tangerang Regency is one of the coastal areas facing these challenges and has the potential of mangrove ecosystems as a natural barrier in supporting coastal resilience. This Community Service activity aims to increase community knowledge, awareness, and participation in mangrove conservation as a climate change adaptation strategy through a community empowerment approach. The method used is the Community Empowerment Approach with the Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) principle which is implemented through four stages, namely preparation, education and socialization, participatory mangrove planting, and monitoring and evaluation. Data were obtained through participatory observation, documentation, and reflective discussions, then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the activity showed that the planting of 300 Avicennia and Rhizophora mangrove seedlings was successfully carried out with the involvement of students, lecturers, the community, the Tanjung Pasir Village Government, and the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). This activity increased participants' understanding of the ecological function of mangroves, strengthened participation and collaboration between stakeholders, and fostered a shared commitment to maintaining the sustainability of mangrove areas. In addition to providing ecological benefits through coastal ecosystem rehabilitation, this activity also contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially Goals 11, 13, 14, and 15. Thus, community empowerment through mangrove planting is an effective approach in supporting climate change adaptation while strengthening sustainable coastal area management.

Abstract

Traditional markets face a critical competitive disadvantage in the digital economy due to poor digital touchpoints and user experience misalignment. This study aims to evaluate the distinct impacts of digital visual merchandising (DVM) configurations on smart market platform adoption (SMPA) among traditional market MSMEs in Padang, West Sumatra. Utilizing an extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as the structural framework, this research adopts a deductive quantitative design. Primary data was gathered from 150 eligible merchants across Pasar Raya, Pasar Alai, and Pasar Bandar Buat using a field-assisted survey approach. The empirical dataset was analyzed via Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS 4. The statistical findings reveal that all five structural hypotheses are supported. DVM exerts a powerful, significant direct effect on both Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) (β= 0.542) and Perceived Usefulness (PU) β= 0.315). Furthermore, PEOU and PU significantly dictate actual platform adoption, with the model explaining 58.4% of the total variance (R2 = 0.584). These results demonstrate that intuitive, empathetic front-end visual ergonomics serve as a vital cognitive gateway that reduces operational friction and drives long-term continuous digital workflow internalization for micro-vendors.
