Abstract

This study aims to describe the implicature types used by the memes creator on the Instagram account of I.Q Shabab to deliver messages to his followers (readers). This research was a qualitative descriptive study. The data were collected by using a literary data collection technique, which collects data that is coherent with the object of the intended discussion. During the data collection process, researchers took notes, which include descriptive notes and reflective notes. The result showed that there are 3 data used general conversational implicature, 10 data used special conversation implicature, and 4 data used a scalar implicature.

Abstract

This study discusses the directive speech acts in the animation movie ?al??udd?n: Al-Ba?hl Al-Us??rah. The object of this study is the types of directive speech acts. This study aimed at finding out the form of directive speech acts in episodes 12 and 13 of animation movie ?al??udd?n: Al-Ba?hl Al-Us??rah using the theories of Yule, Searle, and Wijana. This qualitative research applied observational methods. The data were collected using the listening and recording technique. The results of this study indicated that 122 directive speech acts were found. Based on the type of directive speech acts, 4: direct literal speech act, direct non-literal speech act, indirect literal speech act, indirect non-literal speech act. The result of the analysis found that there were 109 direct literal speech act expressions, 3 direct non-literal speech act expressions, 7 direct literal speech act expressions and 3 indirect non-literal speech act expressions.

Abstract

This article analyzed the lyrics of the Sawfa Nabqa Huna song composed by Adil Masyithi as a form of resistance to Moammar Ghodafi who ruled Libya at that time. The main focus of this research was the choice of words and how the composition of the lyrics of this song was composed by Adil Masyithi to convey the message to the listeners. The data in this study were analyzed using Teun A. Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis model. Some words used by Adil Masyithi which contain the core message in the lyrics of the song Sawfa Nabqa Huna are the words ???? and ???. The composer saw that every wound and pain must be healed with medicine (????), including wounds that afflict Libya. The word pen (???) referred to studying because intelligent people are not easily influenced by any party. Pen (???) was also interpreted by writing, one of the media that can be used to convey aspirations.

Abstract

This article discusses the similarities and differences between zharaf zaman and zharaf makan in Arabic with an adverb of time and place in Indonesian. The method used in this study was a comparative analysis method that describes the zharaf zaman of zharaf makan in Arabic with an adverb of time and place in Indonesian. The similarities and differences between the two languages were then compared to each other in terms of their form and usage in sentences. The analysis concluded that there are similarities between the zharaf zaman with an adverb of time, which is in the form of a single word, idhafah and jar letters. Moreover, the difference between the two was found in its jamid and musytaq. The form of jamid and musytaq was only found in Arabic. In terms of its use in sentences, both the zharaf zaman and zharaf makan and adverb of time and place shared similarities and differences in terms of formation, nashab, its usage in question sentences and so forth.

Abstract

This study applied Terry Eagleton's Marxist sociological literary theory to find the relations of production, economic structure and social behavior in society called infrastructure which has the essential function to legitimize social classes. Thus, the concept of ideas and consciousness, which also called superstructures, are the ideas of the authority. This research found forms of social relations that cause class struggle. The alienation of the people as a group of the proletariat was the result of oppression by the Shaykh Abbas as a bourgeoisie from the ownership of the entire village's wealth. Khalil, as Marxist hegemony, tried to build awareness of the people who have been exploited to fight to live without oppression.
