Abstract

This legal research examines the implementation of the principle of hardship in the economic stimulus policies issued by the Government of Indonesia as a strategy to strengthen the economy in handling with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. This legal research is a normative or doctrinal legal research conducted by reviewing the literature. The research approach carried out uses a statue approach and a conceptual approach. This legal research uses both primary and secondary legal materials. Based on the results of this legal research, the implementation of the hardship principle which has different implications from the forje majeur or overmacht principle is considered to be able to accommodate the interests and legal protection of the rights of creditors and debtors. The principle of hardship become a legal basis for not canceling a contract so as to maintain the continuity of the contract. The application of the principle of hardship in Financial Service Authority in Indonesia it called as “Otoritas Jasa Keuangan” (OJK) Regulation Number 11 / POJK.03 / 2020 aims to achieve justice for debtors and creditors in the context of facing conditions of decline in economic growth due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic. Abstract

Since it was first identified in China at the end of December 2019, Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) has quickly spread throughout the world, including Indonesia. Maintaining physical distance, washing hands, and wearing masks are very important in preventing the spread of Covid-19. Although the use of masks is relatively easy to do, the level of compliance with the use of masks in the Palembang is still low. This study aim was to analyze compliance in wearing masks among Palembang residents during the Covid-19 pandemic. This cross-sectional study was conducted on 400 Palembang residents aged ≥20 years who were taken by simple random sampling from 15 June to 15 July 2021. Data collection was carried out using an online questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of questions regarding socio-demographics, statements regarding the HBM and compliance to wearing masks. Responses to statements of perception and compliance were scored using a 5-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed univariately, bivariate analysis using Chi-square test, and multivariate using logistic regression analysis. Bivariate analysis revealed that sex, education, and employment status were significant relationships to compliance to wearing masks (p0.05). Sex was a confounding variable and multivariate analysis showed only perceived severity and cues to action had a significant relationship with compliance to wearing masks after it was controlled by the sex variable (p

Abstract

Metaphors are words used to describe something or any situation that had happened. It can be used to replace an idea or concept to make a wider view of explaining the other idea and it an avenue for an individual to express what they say indirectly. Physics teachers nowadays faces a lot of struggles throughout their teaching experiences as they practice their profession. That’s why this qualitative phenomenological study aimed to understand the views and experiences of science teachers with regards to physics teaching. How do Physics teachers relate, take into account and express their views to physics teaching through the use of metaphors in describing their experiences. Teachers are the one with actual experiences with the students giving them a lot of struggles. Understanding how they feel through their experiences using metaphors could help design and carry out a good teaching and learning environment in Physics subject. This study gathered metaphorical views of Physics teachers about Physics teaching through the process called verbal protocol and was participated by seven Physics teachers who are currently taking up their master’s degree in Physics in Philippine Normal University and are also teaching Physics in their respective schools in Luzon. The data gathered were analysed through metaphorical analysis and the results revealed that there are different factors affecting the views of the teachers towards teaching Physics. There are also categories of the metaphors used by the teachers in describing their views towards Physics teaching wherein they considered teaching Physics as a teaching career that let them undergo difficulties and challenges. It is also a teaching that needs passion and goal to let students understand abstract ideas that involves logical mathematical concepts that they considered difficult. Physics teaching also is considered a happy and sad experience for the teacher and it needs labor and patience. Keywords: metaphorical views; physics teaching; metaphors

Abstract

Tuberculosis is a disease that is difficult to treat even though it has been controlled with the Directly Observed Treatment, Short-course chemotherapy (DOTS) strategy since 1995. This study aims to analyze the effect of health education interventions with social media reminder and audiovisual approaches on medication adherence and behavior. prevention of tuberculosis transmission at the Wonoayu Health Center, Sidoarjo, Indonesia. The design of this study was a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest. The research subjects were 70 tuberculosis patients who were selected by purposive sampling technique. After collecting data on compliance and prevention, data analysis was carried out using the t-test. The p value of the difference in adherence test was 0.000, while the difference in prevention behavior was 0.000. Furthermore, it was concluded that the health education intervention with a social media reminder and audiovisual approach was effective in increasing medication adherence and preventing tuberculosis transmission. Abstract

Physics is one of the complex science subject and students taking tertiary science education courses do not choose physics as their specialization. The Philippine Normal University was also experiencing the same, only few graduate students choose the said subject as a specialization. With this, the researcher seeks to find out the views and factors affecting the situation. The data shows that the p-value calculated for the negative views towards Physics as well as factors affecting it is less than (

Abstract

Indonesia as a country that implements a free trade policy seeks to cooperate with various countries to obtain benefits both bilaterally and regionally. One form of trade cooperation currently carried out by Indonesia is the Indonesia-Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IK-CEPA). The goal to be achieved is to find out the development of export, import, balance sheet, and free trade performance between Indonesia and South Korea during the last five years of 2017-2021. The method used is Constant Market Share Analysis (CMSA), which is a method that can identify Indonesian commodities/products that dominate, are competitive, and have high demand in South Korea. Meanwhile, Indonesian products that dominate in South Korea are raw material products / raw materials produced from natural resources such as coal, natural gas, copper ore, and palm oil. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia has been declared a national disaster. The handling of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, although coordinated nationally by the central government, still involves local governments in making policies to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, and policies in tackling the socio-economic impacts of society. The existence of Regional Autonomy gives the authority to local governments to manage regional potentials and make policies related to the interests of regional communities, however, during a pandemic which is a national disaster, local governments cannot have full authority, there are several things that are under the coordination of the Central Government. The existence of local wisdom is a regional potential. This study wants to find out how the local government's policies are in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic by paying attention to local wisdom which is a regional potential. This study uses primary data in the form of observations and secondary data in the form of scientific articles in journals that examine related problems, objective information from communication media, related reference books, using descriptive qualitative data analysis. The conclusion shows that there are local government policies in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic in coordination with the central government, where local governments have the authority to manage, pay attention to local wisdom to empower local communities in policies for handling the Covid-19 pandemic. Abstract

Records archiving, and storage pose a strategic role in managing the university system efficiently and effectively. It also documents the planning and implementation of certain services, allowing proper tracking of work. In this study, the researcher developed a record archiving system for Eastern Visayas State University Burauen Campus. The system is able to provide a paperless records management system, deliver an easier pace for retrieving and recording data, and secure a reliable database backup. The researcher utilized a system developmental research approach that consists of two phases, the analysis phase where the needs are being assessed and the design and development phase of the record archiving system.
