Abstract

This study focuses mainly on the review of literature regarding political parties and their strategies using visual design elements in political propaganda advertisements which has been in practice for many decades. Research has shown that visual design elements have a significant impact on people's perception and behaviour. Political advertisements use visual design elements to create a lasting impression on the electorates' minds. Political parties employ various graphic art products, such as posters, billboards, and flyers, with text and images as powerful visual communication tools to shape the opinions and decisions of the various types of electorates during election campaigns. While political advertising is widespread in modern elections, there exists a notable knowledge gap regarding the precise extent and ways through which these advertisements influence voter behaviour. Advertisementsual design elements in political advertisements are a critical aspect of modern political campaigns. The visual design elements are used to attract attention, convey messages, and influence the electorates' decision-making process. The study aims to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on political propaganda and inform political campaigns' strategies. This study also aims to fill a knowledge gap by investigating the extent and ways through which these political advertising influences voter’s behaviour. This study seeks to explore the effects of visual design elements such as billboards, posters, and flyers in political propaganda advertisements on the electorates' decision-making process. The outcome and discussions of this study would have implications for political parties and advertisers seeking to effectively influence the electorates' decision-making in Ghana-Kumasi.

Abstract

Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism practices, especially corrupt practices, are still a problem that occurs in Indonesia from the past until now. One of the factors that causes corruption is the implementation of Good Corporate Governance which is still weak and inconsistent. This article aims to analyze the importance of implementing GCG in companies using the literature study method from several articles that discuss the topic to be discussed. The results of this research are that there are five principles of Good Corporate Governance, namely Transparency, Accountability, Responsibility, Independence and Fairness. Implementing GCG well and implementing it consistently will have a positive impact on the company itself, such as increasing company performance, improving the welfare of company employees and preventing fraudulent acts that are detrimental to the company and other parties. On the other hand, poor and weak implementation of GCG which is not carried out consistently creates loopholes which cause fraud to occur.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of stakeholder pressure in moderating the effect of green investment, corporate governance and corporate growth on disclosure of carbon emissions. The data of this study use unbalance panel with multiple linear regression analysis which is operated through the eviews. The results of this study are green investment, company growth and the control variable firm size have a positive effect on disclosure of carbon emissions. In addition, stakeholder pressure is able to moderate the effect of green investment on disclosure of carbon emissions. However, corporate governance, profitability and company age control variables have no effect on disclosure of carbon emissions. The same thing happened to stakeholder pressure not being able to moderate the effect of corporate governance and company growth on disclosure of carbon emissions. These results provide implications for investors to consider disclosure of carbon emissions in making investments. The implications for regulators are expected to be able to formulate standards related to the disclosure of carbon emissions in more detail and to determine the number of directors who occupy a company.
