<![CDATA[This study discusses the Strategy for Child Service Development at the Library of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office, North Sumatra Province. The purpose of this research is to see how the child development strategy is in the Library of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office, North Sumatra Province. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. By using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The information in this study is librarians at the Library of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office in North Sumatra Province who have been selected by researchers in accordance with the criteria for research subjects.The results showed that the children's service development strategy carried out by librarians at the Library of Bank Indonesia Representative Office, North Sumatra Province, was carried out using promotion and socialization methods. Where the promotion is carried out using brochures and social media, namely Instagram. Meanwhile, the socialization was carried out by utilizing various competition activities organized by librarians and visiting schools to inform that the library of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office in North Sumatra Province provides a special service for children called the Kids Corner. The strategy for developing children's services aims to attract children's interest and attention to the Library of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office, North Sumatra Province.]]>

<![CDATA[This research discusses the preservation and conservation of library materials at the North Sumatra State Islamic University Library. The objectives of this research are:Knowing how the activities of preservation and conservation of library materials in the Library of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. Knowing what are the obstacles in carrying out preservation and conservation of library materials at the North Sumatra State Islamic University Library. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. By using data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The informants in this study were the head of the library and librarian at the North Sumatra State Islamic University Library who had been selected by the researcher in accordance with the criteria for the research subject. The results showed that the factors causing damage to library materials at the Library of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra were: biological factors, physical factors, natural disaster factors and human factors or external and internal factors. The precautions taken to prevent further damage to library materials are: Cleaning and providing camphor in the bookshelves so as not to be eaten by insects, and users are also prohibited from bringing food into the library and smoking in the library is prohibited because it can endanger library materials. The constraints faced by librarians in preserving and conserving library materials are: Lack of awareness of students results in damaged library materials and damaged cover rights that can no longer be sewn and salasiban, and the lack of proper implementation of mangement for librarians. As for some suggestions given by researchers, among others: To prevent damage to library materials, libraries should work together with students so that students visiting the library can keep the library materials read well and do not tear and cross library materials.]]>

<![CDATA[This study discusses the Application of Human Resource Management: A Case Study in the Library of the College of Agricultural Sciences-Agrobusiness Plantation in Medan. The purpose of this study was to determine the application and barriers to the application of human resource management in the Library of the College of Agricultural Sciences-Agrobusiness Plantation in Medan. The research method used is field research which is descriptive qualitative in nature. Using data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The informants in this study were librarians and staff at the Library of the College of Agricultural Sciences-Agrobusiness Plantation in Medan. The results showed that the implementation of human resource management in the STIP-AP Medan Library in general, library members were determined by the Deputy Chairman 2 as the Finance and HR Division at STIP-AP Medan. <![CDATA[The research objective was to determine the services available and to determine the level of satisfaction of visitors to services at the Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra Library. This type of research is a quantitative study with an inferential approach. The population in this study were students who were still actively visiting the library of the Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra, totaling 1,380 people. Samples were taken using the Slovin formula and obtained a sample of 93 people. The method of collecting data with a questionnaire using a Likert scale. Testing research instruments with validity and reliability tests. Data analysis using simple linear regression analysis analysis method. The hypothesis which states the influence of visitor satisfaction on UMSU library services is acceptable. The percentage of satisfaction of visitors to UMSU library services is 77.9%, while 22.1% of visitor satisfaction is influenced by other variables not examined.]]>

<![CDATA[Librarian work motivation is the main factor that can support the librarian's high and low performance. Librarian can be said to have a high performance if he likes the job done, has high motivation and is able to solve problems well. This is what motivates the author to further investigate whether there is an influence between work motivation on the performance of librarians at the UIN North Sumatra Library. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of work motivation on the performance of librarians at the UIN North Sumatra Library. In connection with that, the approach taken is the theories related to work motivation and performance of librarians. This type of research is descriptive correlational with a quantitative approach. Methods of data collection using observation, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis used was a descriptive statistical analysis and simple linear regression analysis. Data processing was carried out with the help of SPSS 20 software. The results of this study indicate that work motivation affects the Librarian Performance of UIN North Sumatra.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims (1) to find out how the perception of users of the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan Library related to facilities and infrastructure, (2) to find out the obstacles faced by libraries in providing facilities and infrastructure (3) to find out the efforts made by libraries in provide facilities and infrastructure. The method used in this study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this study through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research are user perceptions regarding the area of the room, reading tables and chairs, storage of goods, spatial planning, room decoration, collections, wifi and library computers still do not make users feel comfortable and have not been used optimally by library users. In addition, the obstacles faced by the library according to user perceptions can be seen from the facilities and infrastructure that are still inadequate to what is expected by library users. Efforts that have been made by the library in overcoming these obstacles are by submitting a proposal to the principal so that the facilities and infrastructure in the library are adequate and meet the needs of library users. In addition, the efforts made by the library are also through donations of books from students of MAN 1 Medan.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is about the repository management strategy in the Library of the College of Agricultural and Plantation Sciences (STIPAP). The purpose of this research is to find out how the strategy of managing the repository in the STIPAP library. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques interview, observation and documentation. The research informants were the head of the STIPAP library and staff librarians. The results of the study show that in managing the repository in the Stipap library, the electronic collection is in the form of CD (softcopy) and hardcopy which is stored in the archive cabinet. The content contained in the STIPAP repository is 2837 Final Project titles, 57 Journal Titles, and 53 Final Project Titles. The STIPAP library does not digitize it, because it accepts soft copies from students. The strategy for managing the Stipap repository is with the role of HR (librarian) in managing the repository, information technology assistance to build the repository, and preservation of digital collections so that the collection can continue to be utilized.]]>

It is undeniable, the internet is increasingly accessible and used by many people, one of which is students such as university students. The method used in this research is interviews and literature review. Where the author interviewed several students related to the topic. Then look for references that are appropriate to the topic to analyze and understand the topic. The sample of this study were students. The conclusion of this study is that 98% of students often use the internet as a learning reference and this has increased since the pandemic. Various reasons make students inseparable from the internet while studying. This triggers students further away from books and encourages students to be dishonest in doing assignments.]]>

<![CDATA[This research was conducted at the Library and Archives Office of Labuhan Batu Regency. The purpose of this study was to find out about the Interpersonal Communication of Librarians in the Digital Reading Corner at the Library and Archives Service of the Labuhan Batu Regency Government. The research method used is a qualitative method, this research intends to reveal the phenomena that exist in the field, namely: How is the interpersonal communication of libraries to users in the digital reading corner. Next, the researchers conducted interviews with 2 librarians at the Labuhan Batu Regency Library and Archives Service. The results of the study indicate that the library is the human resource in the library which is used as a benchmark for the progress of a library or digital reading corner. A librarian is a person who provides and carries out activities in a library or digital reading corner in an effort to provide a service to users in accordance with the vision and mission of the parent institution Constraints that often occur in digital reading corners are the lack of human resources, the lack of facilities provided, the lack of interest in reading by the public. It can be concluded that the constraint of the digital reading corner with circumstances that can hinder the ease and development of the digital reading corner.]]>
