Abstract

Information literacy is an important skill for librarian todays in global era, so that information literacy for librarian not only marked literate and able to read it only. However, the actual application is more than that, because it was supposed mastery of information literacy becomes an integral part of the librarian. Librarians should be manager of science, because every day struggling with a variety of resources. In response to this, then inevitably the librarian should be able to search the information in the library either manually or online.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) program apa saja yang dilaksanakan Penyuluh KB, (2) bagaimana metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan program KB, (3) hambatan yang dihadapi penyuluh dan yang terakhir adalah untuk mengetahui faktor yang  mendukung pelaksanaan program KB. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik analisa data yang dilakukan dengan merujuk kepada teknik analisa data model Miles dan Huberman yaitu: Reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Informan penelitian adalah empat orang penyuluh KB Kecamatan Kotapinang. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa  Program yang dilaksanakan Penyuluh KB adalah program KB dengan beberapa sub program pendukung. Sementara metode yang digunakan adalah metode langsung dan metode tidak langsung. Beberapa faktor menjadi penghambat dalam pelaksanaan Program KB antara lain: Faktor masyarakat yang kurang merespon, budaya, rendahnya pendidikan, dan geografis. Sementara faktor pendukung pelaksanaan Program KB yaitu faktor internal dari penyuluh, sementara faktor eksternal yaitu dukungan pemerintah, masyarakat, maupun swasta. Kata Kunci: Penyuluh, KBABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine (1) what kind of program conducted by KB Counsellor (2) How is the method used in conducting KB programs (3) what kind of the oobstacles faced by counsellor and (4) what kind of supporting factor in conducting KB program. Research method used in this study was qualitative research by using data analysis Miles and Huberman model namely:  data reduction, data displaying, summarising. Research informant is four KB counsellors of sub-district of Kotapinang. The study result showed that program conducted by KB counsellor is KB program that is combined with some of supported sub-program. In addition, method used was directing and in directing method. Some of obstacle factors faced in conducting KB program are community factors, cultures, level of education, people mindset, and geographic factor. On the other hand, there are some supported programs namely external factor such as level of education and internal factor such as counselor itself. Keywords: Counselors, KB

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Etika Komunikasi Interpersonal Mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara Kepada Dosen Melalui Smartphone. Selain itu, untuk mengetahui unsur-unsur yang mempengaruhi mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara kurang beretika dalam berkomunikasi dengan dosen saat menggunakan handphone. Di era modern seperti sekarang, mahasiswa sering berkomunikasi dengan dosen melalui perangkat elektronik dan platform digital, salah satunya adalah aplikasi WhatsApp. Namun, masih sering terjadi permasalahan dalam berkomunikasi, seperti kurangnya perhatian mahasiswa terhadap waktu dan penggunaan kalimat yang sopan. Metodologi kualitatif diterapkan dalam penelitian ini. Mahasiswa yang belajar ilmu komunikasi di Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara menjadi sumber data penelitian ini. Para mahasiswa ini berkomunikasi dengan para profesor mereka melalui telepon genggam. Selain itu, berbagai artikel yang berkaitan dengan etika komunikasi interpersonal menyediakan data sekunder yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Teknik pengumpulan data yang menggabungkan wawancara dan observasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa ilmu komunikasi memiliki etika komunikasi interpersonal yang kuat ketika berinteraksi dengan dosen melalui smartphone. Dengan melihat data yang telah peneliti kumpulkan, yang menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa menyapa dosen melalui aplikasi Whatsapp, memperkenalkan diri, berkomunikasi secara langsung, dan mengungkapkan rasa terima kasih kepada dosen ketika dosen merespon chatting mereka, peneliti dapat menarik kesimpulan mengenai perilaku mereka. Lingkungan sekitar kampus UIN Sumatera Utara yang merupakan lokasi yang islami menjadi elemen kedua yang mempengaruhi etika komunikasi mahasiswa ilmu komunikasi. Pengaruh dosen di kampus juga menjadi faktor lain, karena mereka sering mengajarkan mahasiswa teknik komunikasi yang efektif. Selain itu, media sosial juga menjadi faktor yang mempengaruhi.

Abstract

This research aims to o determine the Al-Barokah Reading Center activity program related to social inclusion and its implementation for the trading community and to find out what obstacles are experienced in carrying out the Al-Barokah Reading Center empowerment program in increasing community social inclusion. Trading. In this study, the researcher used a descriptive qualitative research type, while the determination of the informants that the researcher did was using a purposive sampling technique, where there were 2 informants in the study. The data collection technique was carried out in several stages, namely observation, interviews, and documentation of activities in the Al-Barokah Shelter TBM. The results of this study indicate that there are several points that are being made by TBM in carrying out empowerment programs to increase community social inclusion, namely programs in the form of literacy movements, orphan social movements, socialization of the effects of drugs, storytelling, collaboration between library institutions, collaboration with the institute is obliged to report drugs. While the obstacles in carrying out this empowerment program are the limited facilities and infrastructure as well as the budget owned by TBM.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui program kegiatan taman baca Rumah Singgah Al-Barokah yang berkaitan dnegan inklusi sosial serta implementasinya untuk masyarakat perdagangan serta untuk mengetahui hambatan-hambatan apa saja yang dialami dalam menjalankan program pemberdayaan taman baca rumah singgah Al-Barokah dalam meningkatkan inklusi sosial masyarakat Perdagangan. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif, adapun penentuan informan yang peneliti lakukan yaitu menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dimana informan dalam penelitian berjumalah 2 oraang. Teknik penggumpulan data dilakukan dengan beberapa tahap yaitu observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi kegiatan-kegiatan yang ada di TBM Rumah Singgah Al-Barokah. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa point yang menjadi upaya yang dilakukan TBM dalam menjalankan program pemberdayaan untuk meningkatkan inklusi sosial masyarakat yaitu program berupa gerakan literasi, gerakan sosial anak yatim, sosialisasi dampak narkoba, melakukan story telling, kerjasama antar lembaga perpustakaan, kerjasama dengan institut wajib lapor narkoba. Sedangkan hambatan dalam menjalankan program pemberdayaan ini yaitu masih terbatasnya sarana dan prasarana serta anggaran yang dimiliki TBM.

Abstract

The Webometrics ranking serves as a crucial metric for assessing the quality and online visibility of universities. In this investigation, the study employs a SWOT analysis approach to delineate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats influencing university Webometrics rankings. The primary objective is to scrutinize Webometrics rankings through the dual lenses of SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) and Gap analysis. The approach includes collecting Webometrics ranking data from reliable sources, followed by an in-depth SWOT analysis to identify the factors that impact the university's position in the Webometrics ranking. Additionally, gap analysis is applied to assess disparities between the current Webometrics ranking and the university's aspirations. Through gap analysis, the study identified areas where the university has the potential to enhance its Webometrics standing. The study's findings are anticipated to offer valuable guidance for universities seeking to elevate their Webometrics rankings.

Abstract

The assertive behavior of library staff toward service quality in the archives and library of the Karo Regency is discussed in this thesis. The purpose of this study is to determine how the assertive behavior of library employees affects the level of customer service provided by the Karo Regency library and archives. This study employs a comparative causal approach with quantitative methodologies. through the use of methods for gathering data, such as surveys and recordkeeping. The Karo Regency library and archives service workers served as the research's informants. The study's findings indicate that library employees' assertive behavior improves the quality of their services. The acceptance of Ha is based on the demonstrable assertive behavior (X) towards service quality (Y) with a significant value of 0.000 > 0.05.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the facts of the phenomenon to the marketing communication strategy carried out by Pasar Kamu in increasing visitor interest. This type of research is field research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out by interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, namely by collecting data, condensing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that Pasar Kamu carries out a marketing communication strategy using several components of the marketing communication mix in increasing visitor interest, namely advertising activities, sales promotion activities, interactive marketing activities, and public relations activities. The implementation of marketing communication strategies increases visitors to Pasar Kamu, which is around 1,000 to 2,500 visitors per week and has attracted visitors from within and outside the country.

Abstract

Film is one of mass media having responsibility to decrease and increase education like radio, television and newspapers as well. The form of religious values can be conveyed through messages in the film. This paper contains religious values in the film Ayat-Ayat Cinta. It uses semiotic analysis method by Pierce. Therefore, religious values that are delivered in the film Ayat-Ayat Cinta can be revealed. Firstly, the researcher chooses some scenes in the film Ayat-Ayat Cinta. Then, those scenes are analyzed through denotative, connotative, and myth meaning. Basically, there are many things which can be interpreted in a film. Of course, it must be suitable with the context rising in the scenes in order to result matters pertaining to meaning and understanding of messages. This is a qualitative research. It considers meaning as the main attention. In addition, this research only develops collecting facts. Thus, they are analyzed without doing hypothesis experiment. The researcher chooses the film Ayat-Ayat Cinta because there are many deviations happening today, especially for teenagers. It seems that Ayat-Ayat Cinta bringing freshness in order to give education and study about religious values. After a long process up to analysis, it results that Ayat-Ayat Cinta having religious messages which reveal in the scenes.

Abstract

This research examines the Panipahan community's perception of the figure of Tuan Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id Bin Isma'un in Panipahan City, Riau, during the period 1965-2002. The background of this research is the important role of Tuan Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id in the religious and social life of the Panipahan community. The main question asked is how the Panipahan community perceived the contribution and influence of Mr. Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id during this period. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results showed that the Panipahan community had a very positive view of Tuan Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id, recognizing his contribution in religious education, moral development, and social conflict resolution. The conclusion of this study is that Tuan Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id is recognized as an influential and respected figure, who has made a significant impact on social and religious development in Panipahan, Riau. The findings strengthen the argument that religious figures have an important role in shaping social and cultural dynamics in local communities.

Abstract

A library based on social inclusion is a library transformation that serves the information needs of all users without being limited to layers of social groups. So that the need for libraries as a place for literacy makes a transformation program to increase the role of the community to be better in participating in improving its social and economy. This research is a qualitative type with data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation and documentation at the Asahan District Library and Archives Service. The results of the study show that the transformation of social inclusion-based library services at the Asahan District Library and Archives Service provides changes or development of services that lead to provision or improvement of individual abilities to prepare themselves to improve their economy including: (1) knitting services for beginners, (2) learning computers, (3) library services, (4) story telling services, (5) mobile libraries and smart cars, and (6) socialization of reading and literacy services. This transformation program is carried out to make people, especially in Asahan Regency, able to have good skills in information, economy and digitalization.
