Abstract

Currently, there are still many Indonesian people who apply patriarchal culture, so this can be used as the main topic for making literary works such as films. The researcher decided to make the Film Series "Gadis Kretek" as a medium to convey gender representation. The purpose of this research is to find out how this film can be a mirror on culture and history to influence gender representation in a certain context and how patriarchal values or gender equality are reflected in the narrative and visuals of this film. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research uses Hongwei Bao's Queer Theory based on a semiotic approach. Queer theory seeks to reveal that gender and sexuality are not only determined by biology, but also by social and cultural constructions. Based on this research, it can be concluded that women are considered unfit to have greater goals or interests and women are also considered as weak objects.

Abstract

Suku Gayo yang merupakan salah satu suku di Desa Bukit Merdeka Aceh Tenggara memiliki tradisi yang diperuntukkan untuk bayi yang baru lahir yang disebut dengan tradisi turun mandi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberadaan tradisi turun mandi dalam masyarakat suku Gayo di Desa Bukit Merdeka menjadi faktor utama yang menarik perhatian, dan untuk mengetahui pesan yang ada dalam tradisi turun mandi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, di mana sumber data diperoleh langsung dari lokasi penelitian dibantu dengan data-data literatur yang relevan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa tradisi turun mandi adalah tradisi yang dilakukan masyarakat Desa bukit merdeka Kecamatan lawe sigala gala kabupaten aceh tenggara tradisi ini salah satu tradisi yang sudah ada sejak zaman nenek moyang dan masyarakat masih mempertahankan tradisi tersebut sampai saat ini. Pesan akidah yang disampaikan pada saat pemberian nama ini bukan hanya sebagai bentuk ritual, melainkan sebagai fondasi penting dalam membentuk keyakinan yang kuat dalam diri bayi. Sejak dini, akidah yang kuat diharapkan mampu membimbing bayi dalam menghadapi kehidupan dan menjalankan ajaran agama dengan penuh keimanan. Dalam konteks ritual turun mandi, pelaksanaan aqiqah juga tunduk pada prinsip-prinsip syariat sesuai dengan aturan agama Islam. Dalam konteks ritual turun mandi, terdapat banyak pesan atau simbol yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai karakter, sifat, dan akhlakul karimah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of Instagram accounts in meeting the information needs of library science students and to find out the obstacles experienced by library science students. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach that uses interviews to describe the data obtained by researchers directly, to obtain a clear and detailed picture of how the use of the @melektechnology.id Instagram account is to fulfill the information needs of 2018 Stambuk Library Science students. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. Furthermore, the researchers conducted interviews with informants who follow the @melektechnology.id Instagram account. The results of this study indicate that the informants who have been interviewed all follow the @melektechnology.id instagram account and they take advantage of the information contained in the account according to the needs they want. Constraints experienced by informants when searching for information on the account, namely an unstable network, cellular data and information on the account drowned. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi komunikasi pemasaran pada KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) Pematangsiantar dalam upaya meningkatkan penjualan di masa pandemi Covid-19, khususnya bauran pemasaran (Marketing Mix) yang diterapkan KFC. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, yaitu studi kasus yang menghasilkan data-data deskriptif yang dituangkan dalam kata-kata. Sumber data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling dan teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini penulis melakukan kunjungan gerai restoran KFC Pematangsiantar untuk melakukan wawancara dengan manajer dan karyawan KFC. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa ada beberapa pembahasan yaitu Strategi, Kendala dan Solusi.. Meskipun KFC Pematangsiantar mengalami kendala di masa pandemi ini yaitu kendala dari segi faktor ekonomi, PSBB (pembatasan sosial berskala besar) yang diterapkan pemerintah serta situasi baru New normal yang membuat KFC sulit untuk menaikan kembali omset penjualan akan tetapi KFC Pematangsiantar terus berupaya untuk menangani hal tersebut yaitu dngan cara terut melakukan promosi baik secara online maupun online dan terus memaksimalkan protocol kesehatan direstoran agar menarik kembali kepercayaan customer. Kata Kunci : Strategi Pemasaran, Bauran Pemasaran, Covid-19 ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the marketing communication strategy at KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) Pematangsiantar in an effort to increase sales during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially the marketing mix implemented by KFC. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods, namely case studies that produce descriptive data as outlined in words. Sources of data in this study using purposive sampling and data collection techniques in this study the authors visited the KFC Pematangsiantar restaurant outlets to conduct interviews with KFC managers and employees. The researcher concluded that there were several discussions, namely Strategy, Constraints and Solutions. Although KFC Pematangsiantar experienced obstacles during this pandemic, namely constraints in terms of economic factors, PSBB (large-scale social restrictions) implemented by the government and the new new normal situation which made KFC difficult to deal with. increasing sales turnover, but KFC Pematangsiantar continues to strive to handle this, namely by continuing to promote both online and online and continue to maximize restaurant health protocols in order to regain customer trust.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Citra merupakan salah satu asset penting dari sebuah organisasi atau perusahaan yang harus dipelihara dan dibangun secara terus menerus. Citra perusahaan juga tidak terlepas dari peran seorang humas. Untuk itu humas harus mampu merancang master plan yang dirasa tepat dalam upaya mencitrakan perusahaannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana master plan yang dilakukan humas PT. Karya Bhakti Manunggal Kota Pematangsiantar dalam membangun citra perusahaan baik faktor eksternal maupun faktor internal. Teori yang digunakan untuk mengupas penelitian ini adalah teori Bill Canton. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Metode pengambilan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pihak humas PT. Karya Bhakti Manunggal Kota Pematangsiantar membentuk tim divisi digital. Hal tersebut dipicu karena perkembangan teknologi komunikasi yang semakin canggih sehingga perusahaan juga harus mengikuti perkembangan zaman agar tidak tertinggal dengan perusahaan lain. ABSTRACT Image is one of the important assets of an organization or company that must be maintained and built continuously. Corporate image is also inseparable from the role of a public relations officer. For this reason, public relations must be able to design a master plan that is considered appropriate in an effort to image the company. The purpose of this study was to find out how the master plan carried out by the PR of PT. The work of Bhakti Manunggal in Pematangsiantar City in building the company's image, both external and internal factors. The theory used to analyze this research is Bill Canton's theory. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive design. Data collection methods used in this study were interviews and observation. The results showed that the PR of PT. Karya Bhakti Manunggal Pematangsiantar City formed a digital division team. This is triggered by the development of increasingly sophisticated communication technology so that companies must also keep up with the times so as not to be left behind by other companies.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji tradisi seni burdah yang masih dilestarikan oleh masyarakat desa pesisir Gunting Saga, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Utara. Melestarikan tradisi seni burdah adalah salah satu upaya untuk menjaga kesenian asli kerajaan Kualuh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi seni burdah di desa pesisir Gunting Saga merupakan dari kerajaan Kualuh, tradisi seni burdah dilakukan oleh masyarakat desa pesisir saat acara pernikahan dan khitanan, masyarakat pesisir desa Gunting Saga sangat menjunjung tinggi dari nilai-nilai tradisi seni burdah karena sebagai upaya untuk melestarikan dan mengembangkan seni burdah sebagai aset budaya yang berharga bagi masyarakat pesisir desa Gunting Saga.

Abstract

This research delves into the Sulalatus Salatin manuscript, exploring its historical context and content to identify and describe the myths embedded within, reflecting the Malay society around the 15th century. The study aims to deepen the understanding of the Sulalatus Salatin manuscript and the prevalent myths of that era. Utilizing the historical method, the research encompasses three stages: identifying the research problem, collecting data, and analyzing content through a textology approach to comprehend past societal views on mythology. Data collection involves library research to find relevant studies, skimming the text to examine each chapter, and documenting various sources such as documents, notes, and archives. The results reveal that the Sulalatus Salatin manuscript narrates the reigns of the Malay Sultanate of Malacca, depicting Malay values such as philosophy, ethics, leadership, aesthetics, language, and religion. The manuscript records events related to the rise, glory, and downfall of the Malay Kingdom of Malacca in 1511 CE, highlighting the introduction of Islam and Malacca's role as a center of Islamic education.

Abstract

This research discusses the collection development strategy at the Medan City Library and Archives Service during the Covid-19 pandemic, where the core of this problem is how library managers create strategies to optimize collection development activities that are hampered during the pandemic, as well as implementing policies to overcome prominent changes. at the Medan City Library and Archives Service during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The type of research used in this thesis is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, namely describing and describing the data and then analyzing the data obtained from the field so that the data and information obtained are explained without any engineering. The data collection technique for this research is through a process of observation, interviews and documentation. There were 4 informants in this research, consisting of the head of the library materials development and processing section, library staff, and staff in the field of library materials conservation. The results of the research show that the changes that occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Medan City Library and Archives Service were reduced visitor hours, reduced government budgets for libraries, and collection development activities such as selection and procurement of library materials were hampered. This causes library managers to make strategies by reducing procurement, minimizing designated collection branches and making plans to focus on electronic collections.

Abstract

The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach that uses interviews to describe the data obtained by researchers directly, to obtain a clear and detailed picture of how the use of electronic books (e-books) by users at the library and archives office of Labuhan Batu district. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews and observations. Furthermore, the researchers conducted interviews with 5 informants, namely the users at the Library and Archives Service of Labuhan Batu Regency. The results of this study indicate that the use of electronic books (e-books) by users is that they use electronic books to get references and their information needs such as doing paper assignments given by lecturers. Obstacles experienced by users, especially in unstable networks, lack of collections of books in the e-book, and according to them the obstacles are the lack of experts in the field of e-books so that e-books are not optimal and lack of socialization to users so that some users do not understand in browsing the e-book.

Abstract

This research discusses the strategies carried out by the Medan district court office library in increasing the availability of their collections in order to realize their vision and mission which includes fostering, developing and maintaining library materials in the special library. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method by describing, describing and describing the data and then analyzing the research results obtained from the field. The purpose of this research is to determine the strategy of special libraries in the Medan district court library in their efforts to increase the availability of collections that can be utilized by users. There were 3 informants in the research, consisting of administrative staff and the finance department who were also responsible for library management, then library management staff and library guards. The results of the research show that the library managers who manage the special library at the Medan district court office are not those from the library science department, causing a lack of special and in-depth attention to the library collections in the library. Even so, the strategy they use to increase the availability of collections is to maximize the budget as best as possible by adding collections related to law and also adding several collections other than that, such as collections of history books and biographies.
