Abstract

The anterior communicating artery (AComA) is a critical component of the Circle of Willis, serving as a vital conduit that connects the bilateral anterior cerebral arteries. This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the imaging characteristics of the AComA, encompassing both normal variations and abnormal findings associated with aneurysm development. Utilizing advanced imaging techniques, a thorough analysis of the AComA complex was conducted in a cohort of subjects. Normal anatomical variants were meticulously documented, highlighting variations in length, diameter, and branching patterns. Abnormal findings indicative of potential aneurysm markers was carefully assessed, encompassing variations in morphology, hemodynamic flow patterns, and wall integrity. Special attention was given to elucidate the factors contributing to aneurysm initiation within the AComA complex. The clinical significance of distinguishing between normal anatomical variations and potential pathological findings was underscored, emphasizing the critical importance of early detection and intervention to mitigate the risks associated with aneurysm rupture. The findings of this study contribute valuable insights to the field of neurovascular diagnostics and therapeutic strategies. By enhancing our understanding of the AComA and its role in aneurysm development, this research aims to empower clinicians with the knowledge needed for informed decision-making and proactive management. Ultimately, the comprehensive examination of AComA imaging, encompassing both normal and abnormal variants, holds the potential to drive advancements in cerebrovascular care and improve patient outcomes.

Abstract

In the era of Industry 4.0, hospitals (RS) must establish enduring patient relationships to thrive. This poses a challenge for RS Puspa Husada due to intensifying competition among hospitals offering diverse advancements in healthcare services. The focus is on enhancing service quality to foster patient loyalty. This study aims to assess the impact of service quality on patient loyalty, employing a quantitative, cross-sectional research design. The investigation was conducted at RS Puspa Husada between June and July 2023. The study encompassed a population of 338 patients over three months, averaging 113 patients per month. Utilizing a saturated sampling technique, the entire population was included as the research sample. The research instrument involved a closed-ended questionnaire featuring a response scale (via checklist completion). Logical regression analysis was employed as the research analysis method to evaluate the influence of research variables. Research findings indicated that the physical evidence variable showed sig-p of 0.041, reliability had sig-p of 0.006, empathy demonstrated sig-p of 0.037, responsiveness displayed sig-p of 0.046, and guarantee presented sig-p of 0.018. The research concludes that a significant impact exists between the quality of service variables—physical evidence, reliability, empathy, responsiveness, and guarantee—on patient loyalty. Among these factors, service reliability emerges as the primary influencer of patient loyalty within the Outpatient Department of RS Puspa Husada.

Abstract

This quantitative study aimed to investigate and analyze the impact of individual characteristics (X1) and the quality of work life (X2) on employee performance within the Employee Cooperative at Pasar Rebo Hospital, located in East Jakarta. The research focused on three main aspects: (1) the influence of individual characteristics on employee performance, (2) the influence of the quality of work life on employee performance, and (3) the influence of individual characteristics on the quality of work life within the Employee Cooperative of Pasar Rebo Hospital. The study encompassed a total of 50 employees from the Pasar Rebo East Jakarta Hospital Employee Cooperative, employing a Total Sampling technique due to the limited population size (less than 100 employees). Data collection involved a combination of observation and questionnaire surveys. The findings revealed that there exists a non-significant relationship between individual characteristics (X1) and employee performance (Y), as indicated by a T-statistic of 0.621 (> 1.96). Despite the lack of statistical significance, the original sample estimate demonstrated a positive relationship between individual characteristics (X1) and employee performance (Y), with a value of 0.098. In contrast, the study revealed significant positive relationships between individual characteristics (X1) and the quality of work life (X2) (T-statistic = 4.813, < 1.96) and between the quality of work life (X2) and employee performance (Y) (T-statistic = 6.143, > 1.96). The original sample estimate values for both relationships were positive (0.471 and 0.570, respectively), highlighting the importance of fostering a positive quality of work life to enhance employee performance within the Employee Cooperative at Pasar Rebo Hospital.

Abstract

This study investigates the hazardous impact of mercury, classified as a Category B3 heavy metal waste, on human life and the environment. It focuses on the significant contribution of artisanal mining to mercury pollution and its adverse effects on the landscape. In particular, the research examines the health risks posed by mercury exposure to children living in Peri-Urban Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining (PESK) areas, including compromised immune responses and the potential for stunting. Urine samples were collected from participants using purposive sampling in accordance with Minister of Health Regulation No. 43/2013 and analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). All ten samples exhibited the presence of mercury, with one falling below the 7 μg/L threshold established by Human Biomonitoring (HBM) guidelines. Notably, the study found that 99% of stunted toddlers exceeded the mercury threshold, while only 0.1% remained below it. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the health and environmental implications associated with mercury contamination.

Abstract

The "3M Plus" mosquito nest eradication movement has proven highly effective in preventing dengue disease and promoting environmental hygiene and healthy living behaviors. This study aims to explore the relationship between household head behavior and the implementation of dengue fever mosquito nest eradication. Using a descriptive analytic approach with a cross-sectional study design and simple random sampling, the research involved 14 family heads as participants. Data were collected through interviews using a questionnaire and supplemented with observational data. Data processing encompassed editing, coding, and tabulating, followed by bivariate analysis (Chi-square test) and multivariate analysis (Binary Logistic Regression) at a 95% confidence interval. The results indicate a significant correlation between attitudes (p=0.000) and the role of community leaders (p=0.039) in the eradication of dengue mosquito nests. However, no relationship was observed between knowledge (p=0.767) and mosquito nest eradication. Attitude emerged as the dominant predictor (Exp (B) = 7.2) for its association with the implementation of eradication efforts. This research highlights the importance of positive attitudes and the role of community leaders in effectively eradicating dengue mosquito nests, ultimately contributing to the success of such efforts in Peukan District, Aceh Besar Regency.
