Abstract

This study examines the relationship between human development, economic growth, and poverty levels in Gowa Regency during the period 2016–2024, using official statistical data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). A quantitative research design was applied, incorporating descriptive statistical analysis, Pearson correlation testing, and multiple linear regression to assess the role of economic growth and the Human Development Index (HDI) in explaining poverty variable. The results show that economic growth has a moderate but statistically insignificant positive correlation with poverty, suggesting that higher economic output did not directly contribute to poverty reduction. Conversely, HDI demonstrates a strong and statistically significant negative association with poverty, indicating that progress in education, health, and living standards had a more substantial effect on reducing poverty levels. Regression findings confirm that HDI is the only significant determinant, explaining most of the model’s variation. These findings highlight that human development plays a more decisive role in poverty reduction than economic growth alone in Gowa Regency

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the Indonesian economy. The purpose of this study was to analyze the causality and balanced relationship in the long term between RR, IR and INF variables during the Covid-19 pandemic. With the Granger Causality and Johansen Cointegration test methods, the results showed that there is a long-term balance between RR, IR and INF. RR and IR are one-way causality relationships, IR and INF are one-way causality relationships. There is no causality relationship between IR and RR and vice versa during the Covid-19 pandemic. The RR policy affects the determination of IR and IR affecting Indonesia's INF during the Covid-19 pandemic. To reduce the inflation rate during the pandemic, Bank Indonesia needs to implement RR policy through the determination of interest rates.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of zakat, foreign debt, inflation on economic growth with consumption as an intervening variable. This research uses quantitative methods with time series data. The sample used is as much as 40 for each variable from 2010-2019. This research method uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that zakat has a significant positive effect on consumption, foreign debt and inflation have a positive and insignificant effect on consumption, consumption has a significant positive effect on economic growth, zakat has a significant positive effect on economic growth, foreign debt has a negative and insignificant effect on economic growth. Inflation has a positive and insignificant effect on economic growth. Zakat has a significant positive effect on economic growth through consumption. External debt and domestic inflation have an insignificant positive effect on economic growth through consumption.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of local tax revenues in Gowa Regency with a span of time for the last 6 years, namely 2013-2018. The analytical method used in this research is quantitative method and descriptive analysis, while the analytical tool used in this research is effectiveness analysis. Besides, qualitative analysis is also used in the form of direct interviews with local officials. The results of this study indicate that the regional tax revenues in Gowa Regency are broadly in the effective category. The factors that play a role in influencing the status of the effectiveness of regional tax revenues, namely the integrity of the taxpayer, the obligation to carry out tax payments in a timely manner, the local tax collection supervision system and the mechanism for collecting local taxes in Gowa Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the significance of the influence of GDP and Population partially on the Original Income of Mimika Regency, and to analyze the significance of the influence of GDP and Population simultaneously on the Original Income of Mimika Regency. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from BPS Mimika Regency and Mimika District Financial and Asset Management Agency. To analyze the data used multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that: (a) GDP had a negative and insignificant effect on the Original Revenue of Mimika Regency; (b) The number of residents has a positive and significant effect on the Original Income of Mimika Regency; (c) GDP and Population simultaneously have a significant impact on the Original Revenue of Mimika Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significance of the influence of economic growth and population growth on the unemployment rate in Mimika Regency. The method in this study is an associative method using multiple linear regression analysis tools with the help of SPSS statistic. Based on the results obtained in this study, the value of regression coefficient in economic growth variable was 0.058. The coefficient of positive value means that there is a positive relationship between economic growth and the unemployment rate. Then the coefficient of regression in the population growth variable was 0.451. The coefficient of positive value means that there is a positive relationship between population growth and the unemployment rate.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the leading and non-superior sectors through the GRDP data of Bulungan Regency and GRDP of North Kalimantan Province. The data in the study is secondary data originating from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in the form of GRDP data at the base prices that apply according to business fields in 2014-2018. With quantitative research methods and Shift Share analysis, it can be seen which sectors are superior and not superior in the region. Based on the Shift Share analysis, there are 4 superior economic sectors, namely: (1) Construction; (2) Wholesale and Retail Trade; Car and Motorcycle Repair; (3) Transportation and Warehousing; and (4) Provision of accommodation and food and drink. The others 13 sectors did not potencial.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pembangunan ekonomi Kabupaten Mimika selama periode 2014-2018 dan implikasi rekomendasi dalam rangka pengambilan kebijakan strategis untuk peningkatannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Mimika, yang dianalisis dengan mengkritisi perkembangan struktur PDRB beserta karakteristik tingkat dan pola pertumbuhan tiap komponennya, dan tren pertumbuhan IPM untuk mengevaluasi dampak pembangunan ekonomi terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Selama periode 2014-2018, tidak terjadi perubahan struktur ekonomi yang masih didominasi sektor pertambangan dan penggalian; 2) Gejolak PDRB Kabupaten Mimika disebabkan oleh dominannya sektor pertambangan dan penggalian yang sensitif terhadap faktor makroekonomi dan nonekonomi karena sifatnya yang unrenewable dan langka; 3) Strategi pembangunan setiap sektor PDRB harus memperhatikan karakteristik tingkat dan pola pertumbuhan agar proses perencanaan dan pembangunan dapat dilakukan secara efektif dan efisien. 4) IPM tumbuh sangat baik, tetapi bias karena kesenjangan pendapatan yang besar antara penduduk yang bekerja di PT Freeport Indonesia dan perusahaan afiliasinya, dengan penduduk yang bekerja di lembaga lain, termasuk PNS. 5) Pengembangan pusat-pusat strategis pelayanan kesehatan dan pendidikan, serta kegiatan ekonomi rakyat yang terkait dengan sarana-prasarana transportasi yang minim hambatan menjadi sangat strategis bagi penduduk pribumi untuk mengakses hasil-hasil pembangunan yang akan meningkatkan tingkat kesejahteraannya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the quality of human resources on economic growth in Mimika Regency. The method used is the associative method, to determine the relationship or influence. The analytical tool used is simple linear regression. The results of the analysis show that there is no relationship or influence of the quality of human resources on economic growth in Mimika Regency.

We selected an exploratory case study design suitable for this study. The discussion in this journal examines the process of the development of the Industrial Revolution and digital information technology which has undergone very rapid changes and developments in the world so as to be able to cause changes or transformations from the world community which has begun to switch and utilize it in various personal and social activities
