Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential contribution of boarding house taxes to local revenue in Mimika Regency, especially in Mimika Baru District. The analytical method used is descriptive. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and interviews with 34 boarding house owners with 10 rooms in Mimika Baru District. The instrument used in data analysis is the analysis of potential contributions with the aim of measuring each potential and contribution that can increase Regional Original Income. The results of the study show that the potential for boarding house taxes in the Mimika Baru District is quite large, namely IDR 407,386,800 per year with a very low contribution or 0.37%, but this potential does not yet cover all the boarding house taxpayers in each district. Mimika Regency. If all districts in Mimika Regency pay taxes, it can certainly make a big contribution to increasing the Regional Original Income

Abstract

The digitalization of the economy is rapidly becoming the main driver capable of driving super-fast economic development. However, contrary to the ideal expectations, ASEAN still faces many challenges in promoting digital integration, one of which is the sizeable disparity among ASEAN countries in economic digitization. This actual condition (das sein) creates a gap with the main objective (das sollen). The main purpose of this article is to analyze the development of ASEAN's digitalization, explain the current picture of economic digitization, analyze the challenges in driving the digital economy and how to commit to it. The method used in this study is a literature study with a descriptive review variant. The study results show that taking advantage of the opportunities of an integrated digital economy will spur domestic economic growth. The use of technology and digital innovation also accelerates the productivity of the ASEAN region to be able to compete with other regions. The obstacles to digital economic integration that are still facing ASEAN are the low level of digital literacy and skills and the development of strategies that are not following the ASEAN Masterplan. Meanwhile, the key problems associated with digital integration commitments include wide digital gaps across ASEAN countries.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of interest rates (BI rate) and money supply (M1) on inflation in North Sumatra Province by looking at the role of Bank Indonesia as the monetary authority. Quantitative methodology with multiple regression analysis is used in data processing in this study and uses annual data (2005-2020) obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics of North Sumatra, Bank Indonesia and the Indonesian national website which is also a source of analysis. The results show a positive and significant impact of interest rates on inflation, while money supply (M1) has a positive but insignificant impact. With a coefficient of determination of 67.36%, most of the variation in inflation is explained by interest rates (BI rate) and money supply (M1). The results have important implications for economic policy formulation and effective decision making in maintaining price stability at the regional level by Bank Indonesia

Abstract

This article is an economic review of government policies in the management of natural resources in Indonesia during the era of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Through a desk-based research method, it analyzes a series of policies implemented, such as the forest and plantation permit moratorium, forest restoration program, One Map initiative, Oil and Gas sector management, renewable energy development, and raw material export ban. From an economic perspective, this article evaluates the impact of these policies on economic growth, environmental resilience, and community welfare. The analysis identifies positive aspects and challenges in the implementation of natural resource management policies, and emphasizes the importance of striking the right balance between economic growth and environmental sustainability in formulating future policies

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of economic growth, funds and income inequality on HDI between districts in Central Papua Province. The economic growth variable is measured using ADHK GDP rate data, while income inequality is measured using the Gini Ratio. The associative method with a quantitative approach was used in this research. The data collection technique uses documentation techniques by collecting data published by the Central Statistics Agency for the years 2012-2021. The data analysis instrument used is Panel Data Regression with the help of the Eviews 10 application. The research results show that economic growth has a negative and significant effect on HDI, while income inequality has a positive and significant effect on HDI between districts in Central Papua Province.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the relationship between Original Regional Income, Foreign Investment, and Economic Growth on the Human Development Index. The data used in this study is secondary data covering the period 2013-2022. The data source comes from the Central Statistics Agency. The research method applied is the Multiple linear regression Analysis method, with analysis tools using SPSS 25 software. The research results show that local income has a positive and significant effect on the human development index, while foreign investment and economic growth have a negative and significant effect on the human development index.

Abstract

Industry is any type of economic activity that is responsible for managing a series of basic raw materials and also maximizing the potential results of the industrial sector so as to produce products that have added value or greater profits, including industrial services. The scope of this research is limited to large and medium industries located in the South Sumatra region. The purpose of this study is to measure the high and low spatial concentrations of large and medium industries that occur at the district and city levels in South Sumatra. The research method applied to test the spatial concentration of large and medium industries uses the Herfindahl Index (HHI) model, using labor data on large and medium industries from 2019 to 2021. The research results obtained show that the area in South Sumatra Province that has the highest spatial concentration of large and medium industries is in Palembang City, while South OKU Regency is the area that has the lowest spatial concentration of large and medium industries in South Sumatra Province.

Abstract

Penelitian ini diadakan guna mengeksplorasi jejak Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka (TPT), Jumlah Penduduk Miskin (JPM), dan Upah Minimum Regional (UMR) terhadap Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) di Provinsi Sumatera Utara tahun 2002-2022. Provinsi Sumatera Utara, dengan 15.115.206 jiwa penduduk di tahun 2022 adalah salah satu provinsi yang memainkan peran penting dalam kemajuan ekonomi Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan yakni kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linier berganda dan melibatkan aplikasi Eviews dan data sekunder perolehan dari BPS Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Dengan hasil olah data yakni TPT berpengaruh negatif dengan nilai koefisien sebesar -0.017130 dan nilai probabilitas sebesar 0.3003 yang berarti TPT berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan, kemudian JPM dengan nilai koefisien sebesar -0.00059 dan nilai probabilitas sebesar 0.0397 yang berarti JPM berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan, kemudian UMR dengan nilai koefisien 1.021982 dan nilai probabilitas sebesar 0.0000 yang berarti UMR berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap PDRB di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini kemudian diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan pemerintah dalam mengambil sebuah kebijakan terkait Pertumbuhan Ekonomi.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 merupakan rebakan wabah yang merugikan bagi seluruh belahan dunia terhadap berbagai sektor kehidupan, diantaranya yakni ketenagakerjaan. Provinsi Sumatera Utara pun tidak terlepas dari situasi sulit ini, dengan tingkat pengangguran yang mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan terutama saat pandemi COVID-19 hadir. Penelitian ini diurgensikan guna mengevaluasi dinamika pengangguran di Sumatera Utara pasca pandemi COVID-19. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif dengan tipe riset daftar studi literatur. Data penelitian diperoleh dari studi catatan pustaka berupa laporan berita, catatan, dan hasil studi terdahulu, serta data yang disebarkan oleh Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Data yang dianalisis meliputi data Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka di Sumatera Utara selama 10 tahun terakhir terhitung sejak tahun 2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wabah pandemi COVID-19 telah menyebabkan lonjakan angka pengangguran di Sumatera Utara. Tren pengangguran menunjukkan pola peningkatan yang signifikan sejak tahun 2020, dengan penurunan terus-menerus hingga tahun 2023. Kebijakan yang direalisasikan oleh yang berwenang seperti pemerintah dalam mengatasi dampak pandemi terhadap pengangguran telah menunjukkan kesesuaian dengan ekspektasi dan bekerja sebagaimana mestinya.

Abstract

This study focuses on the aim of examining the influence of economic growth in Indonesia in 2023. In the era of globalization and economic dynamics, it is important for the government to control the increasingly crowded economy. Income is an important indicator in assessing the welfare of society and the economic stability of a country. Economic growth is considered a major factor in increasing income and reducing poverty. In this study presented the latest literature that covers a variety of theories and approaches in studying the correlation of economic growth free variables with income distribution bound variables. The results of this study of economic growth in 2023 have a positive and insignificant impact. This discovery could be the foundation for the economic growth plan that the government will undertake for more advanced Indonesia
