Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the significance level of the impact of foreign investment and trade openness on Indonesia's GDP. This study utilizes a quantitative methodology, with the help of time series-based secondary data. information obtained from the national statistical office. The population of Indonesia is equivalent to GDP and the level of foreign investment. The period covered by the sample is January 2019-December 2023. In this study, SPSS 29 was used to process the data, and a multiple regression model was employed. The findings of the study lead to the conclusion that the data is normally organized and there are no abnormalities of the classical assumptions of heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity and autocorrelation. This study shows that foreign investment is insignificant and negatively affects GDP, while trade openness is significant and positively affects GDP

Abstract

This research explores the adaptation of MSMEs in Indonesia to digital marketing and its impact on the local economy. Through desk research methods, various literature, data, and previous studies were analyzed to understand the level of digital technology adoption, challenges faced, and adaptation strategies successfully implemented by MSMEs in different local economic contexts. The results show that most MSMEs have adopted digital technologies for marketing activities, with social media, websites and marketplaces being the main platforms. Digitalization is proven to increase MSMEs' market access and income, and contribute positively to local economic growth. However, challenges such as lack of digital skills, consumer trust, and access to capital remain significant obstacles. Successful MSMEs tend to be proactive in learning and adapting, and building consumer trust through good customer service. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of contextualized and inclusive digital marketing theory, and offers practical guidance for MSMEs and policymakers to support sustainable digital transformation in Indonesia

Abstract

This research aims to find out the superior potential and competitiveness of each sector in the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors in Aceh province and to find out what sub-sectors of agriculture, forestry and fisheries are the basic and non-basic sub-sectors in the economy in Aceh province. The sub-sectors in Aceh province are all basic sectors. This type of research is descriptive quantitative which uses time series data, namely secondary data such as GRDP data on Gross Regional Domestic Product at Constant Prices in Aceh Province. The analysis method used is Location Quetient (LQ) and Shift Share (SS) Analysis for the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sub Sector. The 5 sectors that have the highest value in the base sector in the area are the first, namely the agricultural & hunting services subsector, which the second is the horticultural crops sub-sector, the third is the livestock sub-sector, the fourth is the agriculture, livestock, hunting and agricultural services sub-sector and the fifth is the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector. From the shift share calculations, the sub-sectors that have the greatest potential to increase economic growth are the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sub-sectors

Abstract

This study examines the role of community participation in sustaining the Asi Mbojo Museum, a cultural heritage site in Bima City, Indonesia. The museum plays a crucial role in preserving local history and enriching cultural awareness. Through a systematic literature review, 47 articles were identified from academic databases like Google Scholar and Scopus, with 6 articles directly relevant to the study. The findings underscore the significance of community involvement in museum management and development, influencing visitor numbers, economic benefits for locals, and cultural preservation. However, challenges such as limited access to information, financial resources, and infrastructure hinder community engagement. Enhancing community participation not only fosters sustainable tourism but also supports cultural heritage preservation and educational initiatives. This research highlights the imperative of community engagement strategies in promoting sustainable tourism practices and cultural heritage conservation in Bima City

Abstract

Poverty is a complex issue and challenge for developing countries because it can cause various social problems such as an increase in the number of homeless people, prostitutes, and street children. North Sumatra is one of the provinces in Indonesia with the largest GRDP outside Java. However, the number of poor people in North Sumatra still fluctuates every year. This study aims to analyze the effect of investment on the number of poor people in North Sumatra Province with Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) as an intervening variable. This study uses the path analysis method to explore the causal relationship between investment, GRDP, and the number of poor people with secondary data for the period 2002-2023. The variables analyzed include Domestic Investment (PMDN), Foreign Investment (PMA) as investment, and GRDP and the number of poor people. The analysis was carried out through classical assumption tests, including normality tests, autocorrelation, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity, as well as partial significance testing (t-test) to assess the effect of each variable

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of land area and agricultural technology on rice production in Indonesia. The research method employed is quantitative data analysis, which examines the impact of land area and agrarian technology on rice production in Indonesia. The analytical tool used is regression analysis, utilizing Stata 14 software. This study also employs the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression analysis, as the data used in this research is cross-sectional data from the Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) Wave 5 (2014), which is used to identify the influence of land area and agricultural technology on rice production. The results indicate that land area significantly affects rice production in Indonesia. A 1 percent increase in land area leads to a 0.37 percent increase in yield. Additionally, the application of agricultural technology through irrigation systems, whether from rainwater sources, well or pump irrigation, or other water sources, also significantly affects rice production. Moreover, using agricultural technology through rice seed varieties significantly enhances harvest yields, although the white glutinous rice variety does not show a significant effect.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of macroeconomic and social determinants on domestic savings in Central Kalimantan during 2010-2023. Using the Engle-Granger Error Correction Model (EG-ECM) with time series data from the Central Statistics Agency, Bank Indonesia, and Ministry of Finance, this research examines the relationship between Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), Dependency Ratio, Open Unemployment Rate, and Human Development Index as independent variables against Domestic Savings as the dependent variable. The findings reveal significant differences between short-term and long-term dynamics. In the long run, GRDP shows a positive and significant effect with an elasticity of 0.862, while the Human Development Index demonstrates a consistently negative and significant impact in both time horizons with coefficients of -2.719 (short- term) and -2.042 (long-term), indicating a trade-off between human capital investment and financial savings accumulation. Dependency Ratio and Open Unemployment Rate show no significant effects in either period, challenging conventional theories applied in developed countries. The Error Correction Term coefficient of -1.672 indicates overshooting in the adjustment process toward long-term equilibrium.
