Abstract

This study aims to obtain the best interaction between dolomite lime and dose of liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of red chili on peat soil. The research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University, from July to September 2018. This study used a field experimental method in factorial formula with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors i.e. dolomite lime and liquid organic fertilizer. Dolomite lime factor consists of 3 treatment levels, which were 210 g dolomite lime / polybag, 277 g dolomite lime / polybag, and 343 g dolomite lime / polybag, and liquid organic fertilizer factor consisting of 3 treatment levels, 1 ml / liter of water, 2 ml / liter of water, and 3 ml / liter of water, each treatment were repeated 3 times. The observed variables were plant height (cm), plant dry weight (g), leaf chlorophyll content (spad unit), root volume (cm3), fruit weight per fruit (g), fruit weight per plant (g), and number of fruit per plant (fruit). The results showed that none of dolomite lime dose have interaction with dose of liquid organic fertilizer on peat soil was found, but the effective dose was able to increase the growth and yield of chili by the application of 210 g dolomite lime and 1 ml / liter of liquid organic fertilizer.Keywords : red chili, peat, dolomite lime, liquid organic fertilizer

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of paclobutrazol on the growth and yield of sweet corn on entisol. This research was conducted at Dusun Banjar Laut, Rasau Jaya 2, Kubu Raya regency, Kalimantan Barat province. This research started on February 14th 2018 to April 21st 2018. The experimental design used was complete block design (CBD) consist of 5 treatment levels concentration of paclobutrazol, namely : 0 ppm (p0); 500 ppm (p1); 1000 ppm (p2); 1500 ppm (p3); dan 2000 ppm (p4). Each treatment was repeated 5 times and each plot consist of 5 plant samples. The variables observed in this research were include height of plant, leaf area, stem diameter, root volume, dry weight of the upper part of the plant, root dry weight, time of anthesis and time of silking, weight of  cob per plot, weight of cob with husk, weight of cob without husk, cob length, cob diameter. The results showed that application of paclobutrazol affected the growth and yield of sweet corn on entisol. The application of paclobutrazol gives an effect on height of plant, stem diameter, root dry weight and weight cob sweet corn per plot.Keywords : Entisol , Sweet Corn,  Paclobutrazol.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKualitas tanah adalah kapasitas tanah yang berfungsi mempertahankan produktivitas dan menjaga ketersediaan air serta mendukung kegiatan manusia. Kualitas yang baik akan mendukung kerja fungsi tanah diantaranya sebagai melestarikan aktivitas biologi, pengaturan dan penyaluran air serta penyaring dan penyangga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui indeks kualitas tanah setelah dibakar  pada pasca tiga periode pembakaran ladang berpindah yang telah di tinggalkan selama 3 tahun (PB 3), 5 tahun (PB 5),  10 tahun (PB 10) hingga tahun 2017 dan hutan sekunder (HS) sebagai kontrol dengan  menggunakan metode Mausbach dan Seybold. Parameter yang diukur meliputi porositas total, C-organik, persentase dari penjumlahan debu dan lempung, pH tanah, P tersedia, K tersedia dan N total. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Kayu Bunga, Kecamatan Belimbing, Kabupaten Melawi. Indeks kualitas tanah (IKT) dihitung menggunakan metode Mausbach dan Seybold. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan IKT PB 3 tahun sebesar 0,578, PB 5 tahun sebesar 0,521, PB 10 tahun sebesar 0,460 dan HS sebesar 0,492, dan semuanya termasuk IKT sedang. Nilai indeks kualitas berkisar antara 0-1, semakin nilai indeks mendekati 1 menunjukkan kualitas semakin baik. Tanah yang berkualitas baik akan menjamin keberlanjutan fungsi tanah, baik fungsi produksi maupun fungsi ekologi. Penentuan indeks kaulitas tanah suatu lahan akan berguna untuk penyusunan arah pengelolaan lahan yang berkelanjutan.Kata Kunci : Kualitas tanah, Indeks kualitas tanah, ladang berpindah, metode Mausbach dan Seybold

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the level of diversity of fish caught by fishermen on the coast of the Desa Mendalok. The study used purposive random sampling method by selecting random fishermen based on the fishing gear used, those were 2.5 inch trawl, 7 inch trawl and 3 layer trawl. The study was conducted weekly from September to November 2018. The data collection includes primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from catch fishermen,  namely the number and fish species. Secondary data include mendalok village profile, fisheries data marine and fisheries agency of of west Kalimantan Province and rainfall and tides from Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency. The result showed that there were 35 species fish caught belonging 23 families. The result of this study showed gelama panjang fish (Otolithes ruber), tudung tempayan (Drepane punctata), and bulu ayam fish (Thryssa setirostris) for high frequency fish caught. Sciaenidae and Dasyatidae were the dominant family.  Keywords : Type composition, Trawl, Sciaenidae, Dasyatidae

Abstract

Research on the effect of organic fertilizer from cow rumen liquid with various concentrations for growth and yield of butternut squash. The purpose of this study was to find the corrected concentrations of organic fertilizer from cow rumen liquid, which gave the best growth and yield of butternut squash on alluvial soil. The research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University and the duration of the study approximately 3 months (May to July, 2018). The study was designed in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments of cow rumen liquid organic fertilizer (P). Each treatment was repeated 4 times, and each replication consisted of 4 plant samples, so the total number of plants were 96. The treatment were a series of  the cow rumen liquid organic fertilizer application by with a concentration of p0 = 0% (without cow rumen liquid organic concentrate), p1 = 5% (50 ml of cow rumen liquid organic concentrate in 950 ml of water), p2 = 10% (100 ml of cow rumen organic concentrate in 900 ml of water), p3 = 15% (150 ml of cow rumen liquid organic concentrate in 850 ml of water), p4 = 20% (200 ml of cow rumen liquid organic concentrate in 800 ml of water), p5 = 25% (250 ml of cow rumen liquid organic concentrate in 750 ml of water). The observed variables were the root volume of each plant, total of plant leaf area, total of each plant dry weight, each plant dry root weight, fruit weight of each plant, and fruit diameter of each plants. The results of this study did not obtain the best concentration of organic fertilizer cow rumen liquid, but the administration of organic fertilizer cow rumen liquid at various treatment levels of concentration had an effect on the yield of butternut squash on alluvial soil, namely on the observation variables weight and fruit diameter. Keywords: Butternut squash, Liquid Organic Fertilizer, Alluvial soil

This research was carried out on the Tanjungpura University Faculty of Agriculture experimental field in Pontianak which took place January 26th 2018 to March 27th 2018. The method used was Randomized Block Design (RBD) consist of 4 treatments, 6 replications, and 16 sample plants. Giving various types of bokashi including p1 = 20 tons / ha of Mesona spp waste bokashi; p2 = 20 tons / ha of vegetable waste bokashi, p3 = 20 tons / ha of Eichhornia crassipes bokashi and p4 = 20 tons / ha Hymenachine amplexicaulis bokashi. Variabeles observed were plant height, number of tillers, dry weight of plants, number of tubers per clump, fresh weight of tubers per clump, fresh weight of tuber per plot, dry weight of tuber clump and dry weight of tuber per plot. The results of the study concluded that the best types of bokashi for growth and yield of shallots on alluvial soil have not been found, giving Mesona spp waste bokashi, vegetable waste bokashi, Eichhornia crassipes bokashi and Hymenachine amplexicaulis bokashi providing the same growth and yield of shallots on alluvial soil. Keywords: alluvial, bokashi, shallots

Abstract

ABSTRACTCorn and cows are agricultural commodities that can compete in the market, and can create employment opportunities and income for farmers through the production cycle. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence production on corn and cows farming in Kubu Raya Regency. The analytical method used in this study is multiple regression analysis using the Cobb-Douglas production function equation and using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression equation. In sweet corn farming, the results of data processing show that the adjusted-R2 value of 96.57% of production is influenced by the seven variables used in this study, the remaining 3.43% are influenced by other variables outside the regression model. In beef cows farming, the results of data processing show the adjusted-R2 value of 98.83% of the production is influenced by the six variables used in this study, the remaining 1.17% are influenced by other variables, excluding the regression model.Keywords: Cobb-Douglas Production Function, . Abstract

ABSTRACT            Phenolic antioxidant extract of pineapple peel as preservative to inhibit bacteria growth during storage of fish fillets has been studied. This study aims to determine the phenolic content, antioxidant activity of the pineapple peel extract and to identify its potency as preservative in inhibiting bacteria during storage period of fish fillets. The study was carried out by maceration of the pineapple peel using methanol:aquades (70:30 v/v) to produce phenolic extract. It can be shown from the result that pineapple peel contained phenolic compound at 4,74 mgGAE/g, antioxidant activity at 33,24%. The extract of phenolic antioxidant of pineapple peel had a potency in inhibiting bacteria growth in fillet of nile tillapia. This ability was bacteriostatic as it can be seen from the total of bacteria in fish fillet which treated by lower exctract compare to control through bacteriostatic mechanism. Keywords: bacteriostatic, extraction, yield, pineapple varieties.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kelas lereng terhadap       sifat – sifat fisika tanah di lahan budidaya tanaman lada Dusun Sekunyit Desa Semanget Kecamatan Entikong. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama 6 bulan. Penelitian ini terdapat 4 kemiringan lereng yaitu 11%, 18%, 50% dan 75%. Sampel tanh diambil pada kedalaman 0 – 30 cm dan 30 – 60 cm. Analisis statistik digunakan untuk mencari hubungan antara kelas lereng terhadap sifat fisika tanah. Hasil analisis di Laboratorium menunjukkan nilai tertinggi bobot isi terdapat pada kemiringan 50% di kedalaman 0 – 30 cm sebesar 0,98 g/cm3, bobot isi terendah terdapat pada kemiringan 11% di kedalaman 30 – 60 cm sebesar 0,72 g/cm3. Porositas total teringgi terdapat pada kemiringan 11% di kedalaman 30 – 60 cm sebesar 71,27%, porositas total terendah terdapat pada kemiringan 18% di kedalaman 0 – 30 cm sebesar 64,67%. Kadar air kapasitas lapangan tertinggi terdapat pada kemiringan 50% di kedalaman 0 – 30 cm sebesar 57,39%volume, kadar air kapasitas lapangan terendah terdapat pada kemiringan 75% kedalaman   0 – 30 cm sebesar 49,12%volume. Konduktivitas hidraulik tertinggi terletak pada kemiringan 50% di kedalaman 30 – 60 cm sebesar 49,15 cm/jam terrmasuk kriteria sangat cepat, konduktivitas hidraulik terendah terdapat pada kemiringan 50% di kedalaman 0 – 30 cm sebesar 4,33 cm/jam termasuk dalam kriteria sedang. Kemantapan agregat tertinggi terdapat pada kemiringan 50% di kedalaman 0 – 30 cm sebesar 65,45% termasuk dalam kriteria mantap, kemantapan agregat terendah terdapat pada kemiringan 18% dan 50% mempunyai nilai yang sama yaitu 46,67% termasuk dalam kriteria kurang mantap. Kata Kunci : kemiringan lahan, sifat fisika tanah, tanaman lada

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain the best dose of corncob biochar on the growth and yield of peanut crop on ultisol soil. This study began from 31 May to  September 22, 2018. Research was carried out in the Jl.Purnama Agung VII, Komplek Pondok Agung Permata, Kelurahan Parit tokaya, Pontianak Selatan. The methodology that was in study used Completely Randomized Design consisted of 5 treatments, 5 replications and each replication there were 4 plant samples. The Treatment is as follows: (b1) 400 g/polybag, (b2) 800 g/polybag, (b3) 1200 g/polybag, (b4) 1600 g/polybag and (b5) 2000 g/polybag. The variables observed in this study were the volume of the root (cm3), the amount of chlorophyll the leaves (spad unit), the width of the leaves (cm2), dry weight of plants (g), number of pods per plant (pods), weight of seed dry per plant (g), and weigh as 100 the seeds of dry (g). The research results show that growth and result of peanut the best shown by the provision of corncobs biochar with doses 800 g/ polybag.Keywords: biochar corncobs, peanuts, soil of pmk
