Abstract

The aim of this research was to find the drying rate of sago starch using greenhouse-effect dryer based on layer thickness and stirring frequency. This research used explorative experimental design consist of no-material treatment, 1 cm thickness with stirring frequency of 0, 2, and 4 times/hour, and 2 cm thickness and stirring frequency of 2 and 4 times/hour. Observed parameters were sun radiation, dryer temperature, air humidity, drying rate, and material moisture content. The acquired data were analyzed descriptively. Sago starch drying showed drying rates as follows, thickness of 1 cm without stirring had drying rate of 1.39 kg/hour, thickness of 1 cm with stirring frequency of 2 times/hour had drying rate of 1.22 kg/hour, thickness of 1 cm with stirring frequency of 4 times/hour had drying rate of 1.67 kg/hour, thickness of 2 cm with stirring frequency of 2 times/hour had drying rate of 1.85 kg/hour, and thickness of 2 cm with stirring frequency of 4 times/hour had dring rate of 1.91 kg/hour.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Pakumbang Kabupaten Landak pada tiga lahan sawah irigasi berbeda lama pengelolaan lahan, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik sifat kimia tanah sawah irigasi berbeda lama pengelolaan lahan di Desa Pakumbang Kabupaten Landak. Penentuan titik pengamatan penelitian ini menggunakan sistem diagonal, dengan 5 titik sampel pada setiap petakan sawah dengan kedalaman 0-20 cm.Hasil analisis tanah menunjukan bahwa pH tanah termasuk dalam kriteria sangat masam, C-organik termasuk dalam kriteria sangat rendah sampai rendah, N-total termasuk kriteria rendah-sedang, Fosfor tersedia termasuk kriteria rendah, sedang sampai sangat tinggi, Kalium dapat di tukar masuk kriteria rendah, KTK masuk kriteria rendah, Kejenuhan Basa masuk kriteria sangat rendah, Kejenuhan Al termasum kriteria sedang-tinggi, Tekstur tanah masuk kriteria liat berdebu, dan bobot isi tanah termasuk kriteria rendah, sedang sampai tinggi. Hasil analisis statistik uji-t berpasangan pada sifat kimia tanah dan fisika tanah, pH tanah tidak berbeda nyata, C-organik berbeda nyata, N-Total berbeda nyata, Fosfor tersedia berbeda nyata, Kalium dapat ditukar tidak berbeda nyata, tekstur tanah untuk fraksi pasir, debu, liat tidak berbeda nyata, bobot isi berbeda nyata.

Abstract

STRUKTUR KOMUNITAS DAN KOMPOSISI HUTAN MANGROVE DI DESA BAKAU BESAR LAUT KECAMATAN SUNGAI PINYUH KABUPATEN MEMPAWAH Robiatul Adawiyah(1), Inpurwanto(2), Ahmad Mulyadi(2) (1)Mahasiswa Prodi Manajemen Sumberdaya Perairan Fakultas Pertaniandan(2)Staf Pengajar Fakultas PertanianUniversitas Tanjungpura ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur dan komposisi seta keanekaragaman jenis hutan mangrove yang terdapat di Desa Bakau Besar Laut. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan September 2018 - Januari 2019. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adala metode purposive sampling dan transek. Data vegetasi mangrove diambil dari tiap transek, dengan menggunakan transek kudrat berukuran 10 m x 10 m (tingkat pohon), 5 m x 5 m (tingkat pancang) dan 2 m x 2 m (tingkat semai). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan 9 (sembilan) spesies mangrove yang termasuk kedalam 5 (lima) familia yaitu Rhizopora mucronata dan Rhizopora stillosa (Rhizoporaceae), Avicennia officinalis, Avicennia marina dan Avicennia lannata (Avicenniaceae), Bruguiera cylindrica dan Bruguiera gymnoriza (Bruguieraceae) dan Nypa fruticans, Exoecaria agallocha (Exoecariaceae). Nilai INP (Indek Nilai Penting) tergolong tinggi pada jenis Bruguiera cylindrica. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman tergolong rendah, nilai keseragaman jenis tergolong rendah dan nilai indeks dominansi tergolong sedang. Abstract

Pertumbuhan bibit stek buah naga diperlukan media yang baik karena media merupakan faktor utama perkembangan akar stek. Penelitian ini bertujuan mencari komposisi media tanam yang paling baik untuk pertumbuhan Bibit Buah Naga. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dilahan yang berada di Jl. Ampera Kelurahan Sui Jawi Pontianak Kota, Kota Pontianak. Mulai dari 10 September 2018 sampai dengan 10 November 2018. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap menggunakan 8 macam komposisi media tanam dengan 4 kali ulangan dan setiap ulangan terdiri dari 3 tanaman sampel sehingga tanaman seluruhnya berjumlah 96 tanaman Perlakuan komposisi media yang digunakan adalah perbandingan volume sebagai berikut p1= Tanah Alluvial : Pasir : pupuk kandang (1:1:1), p2= Tanah Alluvial : Pasir : pupuk kandang (1:1:2), p3= Tanah Alluvial : Pasir : pupuk kandang (1:2:1), p4= Tanah Alluvial : Pasir : pupuk kandang (1:2:2), p5= Tanah Alluvial : Pasir : pupuk kandang (2:1:1), p6= Tanah Alluvial : Pasir : pupuk kandang (2:1:2), p7= Tanah Alluvial : Pasir : pupuk kandang (2:2:1), p8= Tanah Alluvial : Pasir : pupuk kandang (2:2:2). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini panjnag tunas (cm), jumlah tunas (helai), volume akar (cm3), jumlah akar (helai). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh komposisi media tanam memberikan pengaruh yang sama baiknya. Kata Kunci : Buah Naga, Komposisi Media Tanam

Abstract

The experimental designed usingRandomized Block Design (RBD) wich is consist two factor of coconut milk (200g, 250g, 300g)and agar (3g, 4g, 5g), each treatment was replicated three times. The measured parameterswere phisycal, chemical, and sensory characteristics. The data of Phisycal and chemical wereanalyzed statistically using ANOVA (α=5%) and HSD Test (α=5%) and sensory test wasanalyzed by Kruskal Wallis. The best treatment was determined by using method ofeffectiveness index. The result showed keribang ice cream with addition of coconut milk 250gand Agar 4g was the best treatment with chemical characteristics were fat content 27.84%,protein content 1.70%, total dissolved solids 20.80 °brix, Physical characteristics were overrun 20.55%, high-speed melting 25.19 minutes, and sensory values resulted of taste 5.40 (like),texture 5.23 (like), color 5.53 (like very much), aroma 4.70 (like).

Abstract

Gambut adalah jenis tanah yang terbentuk dari akumulasi sisa-sisa tumbuhan yang setengah membusuk sehingga kandungan bahan organiknya tinggi. Gambut terbentuk dari bagian-bagian tumbuhan yang jatuh akan tetapi proses pembusukannya terhambat.Tanah gambut menempati 47,8% dari lahan rawa di Indonesia yang luasannya sekitar 15 juta Ha dan tersebar pada empat pulau besar di Indoneaia yaitu, Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi dan Irian. Pemanfaatan lahan gambut sebagai lahan pertanian bukanlah hal yg baru, secara tradisional masyarakat telah lama memanfaatkan lahan gambut untuk usaha pertanian dalam skala kecil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Karakteristik kimia tanah (pH, KTK, N- total, P-total dan KB) pada empat jenis penggunaan lahan yaitu karet, sawit, nanas dan semak belukar di Desa Mega Timur Kecamatan Sungai Ambawang Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Lokasi penelitian berada di lahan gambut milik rakyat dengan empat jenis penggunaan lahan diantaranya kebunan kelapa sawit, kebunan karet, kebunan nanas dan semak belukar di Desa Mega Timur Kecamatan Sungai Ambawang Kabupaten Kubu Raya.Pengambilan sampel tanah dilakukan secara komposit dengan dua kedalaman 0-30 cm dan 30-60 cm, pada masing-masing lokasi (penggunaan lahan). Hasil analisis reaksi tanah (pH) pada empat jenis penggunaan lahan yaitu kebun nanas, kebun kelapa sawit, kebun karet dan semak belukar memiliki pH dengan kriteria sangan masam. Hasil analisis N-total dengan kriteria sedang sampai tinggi. Hasil analisis P-total termasuk dalam kriteria sangat rendah sampai tinggi. Hasil analisis K-total dengan kriteria sangat rendah. Hasil analisis KTK dengan kriteria sedang sampai tinggi. Hasil analisis KB dengan kriteria sangat rendah. Hasil analisis bobot isi pada empat jenis penggunaan lahan rata-rata sangat rendah. Hasil analisis kadar serat gosok pada empat penggunaan lahan dengat tingkat kematangan hemik.Kata Kunci : Tanah gambut, penggunaan lahan, karakteristik kimia tanah

Abstract

ABSTRACT Catfish (M. castaneus) is one of fresh waterfish that has considerable potential for of consumption and processed fish.Management of catfish resources needs to be done, given its existence which is increasingly difficult to obtain in nature. This study aims to examine the biology of fish reproduction that includes sex ratio, gonad maturity level and fecundity. The method used in this research was purposive sampling. The Sampling was divided into three stations, that at station I wich on the Upper Telabang River, station II was adjacent to oil palm plantations, station III was at down stream at the intersection with Lake Terentang. The Sampling was done 3 times on basis biweekly from Desember 2018 to June 2019. Based on the results of the study, 277 fishes was obtained, consisting of 122 males and 155 females. The sex ratio of male and female baung fish is 1:127, wich it was balanced in the Telabang River Waters. The size of the length of the sex ratio in this study ranged from 62-141 mm. The maturity study was found in the rainy season generally in TKG I and TKG II in December 2018-April 2019 and in the summer (transition) dominated by TKG III and IV in May-June 2019. Total fecundity as a whole ranges from 5,600-43,223 eggs with a length range between 85-141 mm and weighs 7-28 g. Baung fecundity has a close relationship between total length and total weight.Keywords: Fecundity, Gonad Maturity Level, Sex Ratio.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the best ratio based on the combination of the bagasse and banana "kepok" peels to the used palm oil purification. This research used Randomized Block Design one factor, the ratio formula of the combination bagasse and banana "kepok" peels (7 times treatment that is control, 0:100, 20:80, 40:60, 60:40, 80:20, and 100:0, 4 times replication). The data analyzed by ANOVA 5%, if there is significant treatment, then it continued by Turkey"™s (HSD Test). Data from hedonic analyzed by Friedman test. The result showed the combination of bagasse and banana "kepok" peels at ratio 100:0 is the best treatment. The quality of used oil are moisture content 0.35%, FFA 0.96%, relative density 0.956 g/mL, saponification 167.85 mg KOH/g and viscosity 0.56 cps. Organoleptic evaluation best result is colour 1.24 (yellow clear to bit yellow) and smell 1.4 (no rancid to bit rancid).

Abstract

The aim of this study was to obtain the best dose of the effect of palm oil ash and chicken manure interaction as well as the best dosage of single factor palm oil ash and chicken manure on growth and yield of dayak onion in peat soil. This research was conducted from October 21, 2018 to January 21, 2019 in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak. This study used the Factorial method with a completely randomized design (CRD) pattern with 2 treatment factors. The first factor was the provision of palm oil ash consisting of two levels, namely 109.50 g and 138.85 g. The second factor was the provision of chicken manure consisting of 3 levels, namely 40 g, 60 g, and 80 g. The variables observed in this study were plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, number of tubers, fresh weight of tubers and weight of dry tubers.The results showed that there was no interaction between the administration of palm oil ash and chicken manure to all the observed variables of dayak onion plants. The administration of palm oil ash gives the same results on all observation variables of onion dayak plants. Providing chicken manure can affect the number of tillers. The best dose of chicken manure is 60 g / polybag, equivalent to 15 tons / ha. The effect of effective combination occurs on the administration of palm oil ash doses of 109,50 g / polybag and chicken manure dose of 60 g / polybag.Keywords : chicken manure, dayak onion, palm oil ash, peat soil

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimsed to obtain the best dose of pineapple compost on the growth and yield of red okra on Red Yellow Podsolic soil. This research was conducted from November 1, 2018 to January 24, 2019. The statistical method used was Completely Randomized Design consisted of 5 treatments, 5 replications, a each treatment consisted of 4 sample plants. The treatment were (b1) 400 g / polybag, (b2) 800 g / polybag, (b3) 1,200 g / polybag, (b4) 1, 1,600 g / polybag and (b5) 2,000 g / polybag. The variables observed in this study were chlorophyll leaf (unit velocity), root volume (cm3), total leaf area (cm2) dry weight (g), number of fresh fruit (g) and weight of fresh fruit (g). The results showed that the best dosage of pineapple waste was not found for growth and yield of red okra in Yellow Podsolic soil but the effective dosage was indicated by the provision of pineapple waste bocation 15% dose equivalent to 1,200 g / polybag.
