Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess and obtain empirical evidence by testing different responsetowards brand equity products made in Indonesia and Malaysia. The observed product isprocessed food products biscuit, considering the existence of this Malaysia"™s processed foodproduct has a close competition with domestic processed food products. Non-probabilitysampling technique in the form of purposive sampling is applied. The study was conducted on160 respondents, consist of 80 consumers of biscuit brand made in Malaysia and 80 consumers ofbiscuit brand made in Indonesia. The study results that among Malaysia and Indonesia biscuitbrand there is a difference in case of brand association, brand loyalty and brand quality as awhole, whereas the similarity between both products is in the perceived quality.

Abstract

The development of modern market which is penetrated into the rural areas has positive impactson fast distribution of goods and price stability in that region. However, people are afraid thatthe change of city spatial functions will bring more harm to the existence of a traditional marketor a small retailer that is the source of living for lower-middle income group. This studyidentifies some factors influencing the number of modern market in Yogyakarta city, Selmanand Bantul regencies by considering the spatial interaction pattern among districts. The resultsshow that the location of modern market is influenced by population density and quality of roadinfrastructure. There is a spatial dependence among the location of modern markets in a form ofspatial error model. The identification of spatial error is believed that there are several variableswhich are not included in the model but has an important role spatially, namely the price of landand local government policy.

Abstract

This research intends to determine leading sectors in the Regency Kubu Raya. Leading sectorscan be determined by combining some analysis tools, such as: Typology Klassen, combinedLocation Quotient dan Dynamic Location Quotient,  Shift Share. Time series data is used in thisresearch, such as PDRB of Kubu Raya Regency and West Borneo Province from 2008 to 2013based on constant basic price. The result of this research showed that  leading sectors economy inKubu Raya Regency based on combined analysing from three analysis tools are transport andcommunications sector. Potential sector to be developed to become  leading sectors in the futureare processing industry, elictricity, gas, and clean water sector. Meanwhile, from the fiveagriculture sub sectors in Kubu Raya Regency based on combined analysis from the threeanalysis tools showed that livestock sub sector has potential to be developed to become a leadingsector economy in Kubu Raya Regency.

Abstract

The market mechanism will be reflected in the concept of Islamic Shari'ah principles in the formof values which can generally be divided into two perspectives: macro and micro. Shari'ah valuesin a micro perspective emphasizes the aspects of competence/professionalism and attitude oftrust, while the macro perspective Shari'ah values emphasize aspects of the distribution, theprohibition of usury and economic activities that do not provide real benefits to the economy.Therefore, it can be seen clearly benefit the Islamic economic system in the market thataddressed not only to the citizens of the Islamic community, but to all human being (rahmatanlil"™Ä€lamín).

Abstract

Social and economic phenomena seen among the various efforts to develop culture-basedhandicraft industry. Several groups of small business industry looks continue to live but with thecondition that no maximum. The quality of labor in the industry is determining the level ofproductivity of the industry output.Industry sector is the sector that absorbs labor andemployment issues is a crucial issue especially when it comes to productivity. This is due to theproductivity can be achieved when workers have a willingness to work with a boost in selfworker.Work  will occur if the labor needs of both physical and non-physical being met. In thisstudy, the element of productivity is measured is associated with the quality of workerseducational level, expertise, skills and labor in handicraft industry studied where this industry isbuilt upon the characteristics of the local culture by low adoption of technologies that are likelyto improving the entrepreneurial skills.

Abstract

This research evaluates effect of the current information about blood glucose level based onmedical test to the value of the premium willingness to pay (WTP) and ownership of healthinsurance. The data collecting methodology in this study used laboratory experiments.Participants involved in this research is limited only to the individual that has been aged a  minimum of thirty-five years and have a permanent income. The sample selection was based onthe fact that the individuals in that age have increasing tencendy in the prevalence of the risk  contracting acute diseases, such diabetes mellitus. While the terms on permanent-income basedon the consideration that only income individuals who can afford to buy health insurance.Theresults of this study show that blood glucose current information significantly influencesubjective belief of health status which in turn affects the value of WTP and decisions of  individuals in health insurancepossession. Other variables that significantly affect the individualhealth risk perceived are the number of sick days in a month. Other significant variable is  income. While the ownership of health insurance is significantly only influenced by subjectivehealth status, after receiving the objective information based on blood glucose level medicalreport.

Abstract

This paper is to describe what has been done by the Faculty of Economics UNTAN in growing  interest and entrepreneurship skills among students through student activities and currentevaluation tried to offer a development design of student activities with the approach ofpsychological capital that includes (1) the existence of self-confidence (self confidence); (2)positive attribution (optimism); (3) resistance in achieving its objectives with the ability toredefine the path to reach the goal with the ability to redefine the path to peak at the destination ifrequired (hope); and (4) when facing problems and difficulties, able to survive and continueforward (resiliency) to achieve success. The approach taken in this study is qualitative, type ofresearch is a case study. For purposes of analysis, data can be collected using triangulation ofdata collection methods which involves observation, interview documentation and Focus GroupDiscussion (FGD). It can be concluded that the hardest thing in the printing of an entrepreneur isthe mental change that is formed because of the mindset that the synergy of a wide range of ourdaily interactions (family, education, environment, etc.). It is an attempt to solve the mentalproblem needs to be a synergy of various growth entrepreneurship program that has a good andconcrete step in creating the entrepreneurs.
