Abstract

Marine and Coastal Area which + 28 % of total areas in Kubu Raya Distric has potentially profit areas for palawija crops, e.a: corn, soybeans, cassavas, and sweet potatoes crops. but not yet to be specified in local uniqueness land characteristics to reach more larger productivity. These research is proposed to its clustering through Spatial Analysis with GIS, Principal Component Analysis (PCA). About 3 indexes from 13 land characteristics has been clustered, (1) K, Na, Ca, Mg and Base Saturation, have positive correlation (coefficient determination = 0,92) to corn and soybean crops productivity. (2) Cation Exchange Capacity and Silt Fractions have negative correlation (coefficient determination = 0,92) to cassava productivity. And (3) Phosfor indexes have positive correlation (coefficient determination 0,91) to sweet potatoes crops productivity

Abstract

This research was aimed to identify the physical properties of land which includes the level of maturity and the thickness of peat, soil color, texture, structure, consistency, drainage, groundwater depth, soil effective depth, the depth of sulfidik, and the maturity of soil (n-value) as well as recommending the management of soil to support the development maize on peat land. The research was carried out in the Rasau Jaya III area Kubu Raya Regency, with an area of 2,490 Ha. The Soil physical analysis done in the laboratory of Soil Physics and Conservation the Faculty of Agriculture Tanjungpura University.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the characteristic relationship of the land typology that has been used towards the quality of jeruk siem (Citrus nobilis var. microcarpa) at Sambas Regency. This research was performed in Sambas Regency at each of the jeruks society farm management and also from the private sector. This research was done by field survey and direct observation towards soil sample and plant based on the characteristic and cultivation system of jeruk siam. The location of soil sample and plant was the field sample in the Tebas Kuala, Tebas Sungai, Mekar Sekuntum, Segedong, Sempalai, dan Seberkat. The sample was divided into three sample based on the cultivation system and the land typology that were consists of land typology 1 with the farmer technology package, land typology 2 with the advised technology package and land typology 3 with advised technology. The characteristic of the land typology was connected to the yield of the quality of the jeruk siem. The good land characteristic, whereas the macro nutrient content and micro that available for the plant and having the good land texture, so that the nutrient that contented in the soil cannot be so easily loss by the development of the fruit that propped by the content of the equivalent and adequately nutrient availability by the fertilizer. From the result of the research the best land was the land typology 2 with the advised technology in Mekar Sekuntum Kec. Tebas, that can be seen from the whole of the observe variable in the research with the fruit diameter was 5.85 mm, the weight of fruit was 133,33 g, the weight of juice was 60.63 g, the thick epidermis was 0.23 mm, the weight of epidermis was 21.26 g, water condense of the fruit was 46.88% and the vitamin C was 50,40 mg.

Abstract

Activity and effectiveness of insecticide mixtures (thiodicarb and triflumuron) against physics caterpillar pests Metisa plana on oil palm plantation. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the joint action of thiodicarb and triflumuron insecticides in the laboratory, and to determine their effectiveness in supressing population of M. plana in the field. The mortality bioassays were conducted by a spraying method. The results showed that the inseticide mixtures between thiodicarb and triflumuron possessed a sinergistict activity against M. plana larvae with insecticide combination index of 0.49%. Iinsecticide mixtures at a range dose of 250 - 1250 ml/ha spraying on oil palm planst effectively suppressed population of M. plana larvae.

Abstract

Cadmium is a heavy metal and non-essential element but easily absorbed by plants and transferred to the shoots. Cadmium accumulation in various plant species showed varying responses. This research aimed to study the availability of Cd, the toxicity symptoms and growth of three species of Brassicaceae (Brassica rapa var. parachinensis, Brassica rapa var. pekinensis, Brassica oleracea var. alboglabra) on Cd-contaminated peat soil. Contaminant Cd and soil were mixed in different dosages i.e. 2 mgkg-1 Cd, 4 mgkg-1 Cd, 8 mgkg-1 Cd, 16 mgkg-1 Cd and 32 mgkg-1 Cd and used to fill growth pot (5kg/pot). The results showed that the addition of Cd contaminant produces Exchangable-Cd in growth media on range 0.1477 mgkg-1 up to 2.8459 mgkg-1 and influenced fresh weight of shoot of crops used except Brassica oleracea var. alboglabra. Brassica oleracea var. alboglabra showed more tolerant to high Cd exposure, no symptoms of toxicity found so far, while Brassica rapa var. parachinensis and Brassica rapa var. pekinensis showed stunting and chlorosis symptoms as excess of Cd in growth media

Abstract

One of the policies that impact perceived economic actors in Indonesia, especially in the plantation agriculture sector is the policy of fiscal policy determination of the Value Added Tax of 10% of local transactions, especially cocoa beans and cocoa export tax exemption to foreign countries, processed cocoa export tax by 30% and processed cocoa import tax of 5%. Assessment is made ??considering one of the driving factors is the dominant market of cocoa beans is the overseas market. It can spur international trade, especially cocoa products which will increase foreign exchange, can also be a source of employment especially in the country and also increase the income of the people (farmers and businessmen) who are involved in agribusiness cocoa. However, the impact of this policy will be re-perceived economic actors involved in agribusiness cocoa if cacao products from Indonesia to compete in international markets
