Abstract

Humans need drinking water in life and up to 70% of the human body is water. Consuming enough mineral water for the body can help the process to facilitate digestion, regulate metabolism, regulate food substances in the body and regulate body balance. 46.1% of adolescents from 1200 respondents studied when feeling thirsty prefer instant drinks compared to consuming mineral water, this causes mild dehydration with symptoms: dry lips up to the throat, body weakness. This study aimed to analyze the levels of biological and chemical parameters in alkaline water of various brands in Surabaya which were coded KW, M, P and T. This study was experimental with a post-test only control group design. The research data were statistically tested using one-way ANOVA with the aim of analyzing the levels of biological (E.Coli and MPN Coliform) and chemical (arsenic, fluoride and total chromium) parameters in alkaline water (KW, M, P, T). E.coli parameters in 4 types of alkaline water which were coded KW, M, P and T met the standard requirements, namely 0 colonies/100 ml. Chemical parameters namely arsenic met the requirements of 0-0.1 ppm, fluoride met the requirements of 0.01-1.5 ppm and total chromium met the requirements of 0.01-0.05 ppm. In accordance with the results of the examination, it is revealed that the process of making and producing alkaline water of various brands in the market under study are following the Good Food Production Methods (CPPB), thus there is no E. Coli and MPN Coliform content. Suggestions can be given to future researchers and the community; future researchers need to conduct further research on other brands of alkaline water in various areas with a wider range while the community needs to be more selective and smart in choosing alkaline water to be consumed to maintain a healthy body so they can benefit it at an affordable price

Abstract

Diseases can be caused by consuming foods that do not have a balanced nutritional value, choosing the wrong diet, or choosing the wrong food menu. Diet is also a risk factor for cancer, such as leukemia. In the outpatient pediatric polyclinic of Dr. Soetomo Hospital Surabaya, leukemia is one of the ten most common diseases. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family culture of menu selection and the incidence of leukemia in children at the Surabaya Halfway House. The population in this study were all mothers or families and children suffering from leukemia waiting for treatment in the hospital and living temporarily in a halfway house on Jl Karang Menjangan, a total of 30 people. This type of research is analytic using a simple linear regression approach/desianalyticallye the dominant factors that influence the culture of food from menu selection with the incidence of leukemia in children. The independent variable in this study is the family culture of menu selection, which is a pattern of behavior that has been carried out by parents or families as a way to meet the needs of food which includes beliefs, knowledge about nutrition, social functions of food, and menu selection, preferences or preferences. The dependent variable is the incidence of Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (Leukemia/ALL), which is the diagnosis of leukemia based on the medical diagnosis of the patient's status. analyzed by simple linear regression test. Results: the culture of food menu selection (beliefs, knowledge about the food menu, social functions, preferences do not contribute to the incidence of leukeand and mia in children. It is recommended that the culture of food menu selection regarding trust, knowledge, social function, preference is a food menu selection culture that must be maintained because the results obtained mostly have good habits and some are still lacking so it is hoped that the menu selection pattern will become an initial assessment for children diagnosed with cancer to prevent subsequent events.

Abstract

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that attacks the respiratory tract and it is known that the female sex shows a higher cure rate than men due to hormonal influences, namely the hormone estrogen. This research aims to conduct a systematic review of the results of the latest research on the effect of the hormone estrogen on the recovery of female with COVID-19. The article search found 1373 articles from 4 electronic databases, namely PubMed, Research Gate, Science Direct, and Google Scholar which were published in 2020-2021 using keywords and the boolean operator AND. Then the articles were selected using the PRISMA Flow Diagram instrument so that 11 articles were obtained that met the inclusion criteria. The eleven articles were then analyzed to assess the quality of the articles using The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) instrument. An article that deserves a review if it gets a score of more than 50%. After analyzing the assessment with JBI, 11 articles were declared eligible for review because them get a score of more than 50%. Seven of the 11 articles stated that the hormone estrogen had a significant effect on healing COVID-19, especially in female. Four other articles stated that the hormone estrogen had no significant effect on the recovery of women with COVID-19 due to several influencing factors including age, Body Mass Index (BMI), comorbid diseases, and smoking habits. The hormone estrogen affects the recovery of female with COVID-19 especially in young female, normal BMI, no comorbid, and not smoking. It is necessary to carry out a further literature review on the effect of the hormone estrogen on healing COVID-19 in female by taking into account the number of samples, sample criteria, and measurement of estrogen hormone levels.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work climate on worker fatigue in Pabrik Tahu Kediri. This research is an observational study with a cross sectional approach. Data was collected by observation, interviews and measurements. The population in the study was 40 workers. The retrieval technique used is Ordinal Regression. The data obtained will be analyzed using the Ordinal Regression test. The variables in this study were labor fatigue as the dependent variable and hot work climate as the independent variable. From the statistical analysis, work fatigue is influenced by the characteristics of the workforce, namely age and gender (p 0.05). The results of the measurement of fatigue before work show that all workers experience low fatigue and 22.2% fatigue after work, 33.3% of workers who experience moderate fatigue and 44.4% of workers who experience high fatigue. The results of the measurement of the working climate in the production room are on average 32°C, which means it exceeds the NAV. Statistical test results show that there is a significant effect of work climate on labor fatigue at 0.001 0.05. Excessive hot work climate can cause body temperature to increase, sweating, which causes the body to lose fluids, salt and cause fatigue. Factors that influence labor fatigue are age, gender, and work climate. Based on the results of this study, the industry is advised to provide drinking places, adding ventilation to reduce heat exposure.
