Abstract

The aim of this research was   to know about application of parenting by single parents (mother) in terms of achievement of formal education. The techniques of data collection were observation, interview and the study of documentation, where as the tools of data collection were the directive of observation, directive of interview, the notes and the files like report, trophy, and certificate. This research sources were primer data and secodary data. The result of this research proves that single parents (mother) apply different parenting patterns. Usually, job is single parents"™ (mother) first priority that makes them lose the oppurtunity to pay attention to the child"™s behavior and education at school. Furthermore, because the exhausting job, single parents tend to speak abusively, do a violent action especially when they command the child to prepare their school, homework, and difficulty to facilitate school instruments and transportation. Because of the frequency of single parents (mother) existence is low, children tend to play all day without parents"™ control. This problem makes children couldn"™t feel the attendance of parents to give them love and affection. Also, children has so many lack in getting education both at school and at home, low academic grades, quit school before graduating, not even get on the next grade.

Abstract

This research was to find out the from of associative and dissociative social relations between female traders in traditional markets dahlia sungai jawi Pontianak. This research method was descriptive with a qualitative approach. The source of data of this research was the female traders in the traditional market of dahlia Sungai Jawi Pontianak and the data was a data sheet provided by the office of UKM trade of Pontianak and the results of interviews with female traders in the traditional market of dahlia Sungai Jawi Pontianak. The results showed that associative social relations in the from of bargaining among fellow female traders in the traditional market of dahlia Sungai Jawi Pontianak did not have any agreement between fellow traders and the from of exchange of goods and services in the from of many exchange. Assosiative social relations in the from of harmony could be seen, namely guarding the stalls of fellow traders, and helping to sell the merchandise among fellow traders. Dissosiative social relations in the from of economic competition was seen among fellow femaletraders in the traditional market of dahlia namely,competition of the quality of the new trade, competition for complete the merchandise, and competition of service

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the cooperation, accommodation, and competition among Muslim non-Muslim students of class XI IPS SMAN 1 Nanga Taman. The research methodology that is used is observation technique, interview, and documentation study while, the tools of data collecting are observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed social interaction between the Muslim and non- Muslim students through spontaneous cooperation, undertaken without orders from anyone, direct cooperation, which is done at the behest of students by teachers, students do not differentiate between Muslims and non-Muslims. Accommodation in the form of tolerance, mutual respect, and respect, compromise when students discuss the group to get the maximum results, while the individual competition is the competition in gaining success in learning, competing to earn achievements, then the competition groups that compete for presenting the best presentation in the discussions, case this relates to learning activities in class and outside of class.

Abstract

One of the goals of elementary education is to provide students with basic skills to students to develop their lives as individuals, members of the community, citizens, and members of well being as well as preparing them for further education. Using a case study of action research, this qualitative study focused on promoting peer interactions to develop positive civil discourse of students. Results were that students performed all indicators of social interaction competence. Students were able to perform their attentive listening by maintaining direct eye contact, standing still, and taking turn at talking. They also were able to contribute ideas which focused on the topic being discussed. The students could frequently ask referensial and essential questions relevant to the topic. Students also could make their arguments respectfully and reach their compromise easily and in civil manner. The findings of this research verify that peer interactions in the classroom are not disruptive. If the teacher manages the interactions effectively, peer interactions in the classroom support not only literacy learning but also social skill development such as respect, tolerance and cooperative as the foundation of living in democratic society.

Abstract

This study of the Cooperation Teachers And Parents To Improve Learning Outcomes XI Sociology class in High School in Pontianak.  Aims to improve learning outcomes in sociology. This research uses descriptive method. The results showed that; (1). Collaboration Teachers in improving student learning outcomes are relatively good.(2). The role of parents in improving student learning outcomes are relatively well.perform, (3). Collaboration teachers and parents relatively well  cooperation, (4). The results of learning  indicate  of 75.7. From these results we can conclude cooperation teachers and parents relatively well handed.Key Words: Cooperation Teachers and Parents, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya orang tua mengatasi anak putus sekolah di Desa Suka Jaya Kecamatan Tempunak Kabupaten Sintang. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan bentuk penelitian deskriptif. Informan di dalam penelitian ini adalah 5 orang tua dan 5 orang anak putus sekolah. Di lakukan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi yang di laksanakan selama 1 bulan. Adapun upaya yang sudah dilakukan orang tua yakni dengan memotivasi atau mendorongan anak agar supaya tetap bersekolah dengan cara: a). Memberikan nasehat serta memberitahu ilmu itu penting; b). Memberi hadiah apa bila nilainya baik; dan c). Kontrol orang tua terhadap anak sangat kurang karena orang tua sibuk dengan pekerjaannya. Pembinaan yang dilakukan orang tua yakni: 1). Mengajarkan nilai agama dan sopan santun; 2). Setiap hari minggu selalu mengajak anak ibadah ke gereja; 3). Orang tua juga membiasakan anak untuk ikut serta dalam kegiatan sosial seperti gotong royong, pada lamaran pernikahan; 4). Pekerjaan anak yang putus sekolah yaitu dengan membantu orang tua noreh, bekerja sebagai supir dan bekerja di bengkel.Kata Kunci: Upaya Orang Tua, Putus Sekolah.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the Acculturation of Culture between Transmigrant Communities with Local Communities in Desa Tunggal Bhakti Kecamatan Kembayan  Kabupaten Sanggau. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach method. The techniques of data collection observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instruments were the directive of observation, directive of interview, and the documentation tools. The research showed the Acculturation in the form of social organization has been mixed, because social organization carries the name of an ethnic but its membership has mixed up. Caused by several factors namely marriage, inheritance of membership and religion. Acculturation in the form of livelihood in the form of  livelihood change, job change and cooperation among tribes. Changes in the system of the shift of the Dayak agricultural system from cultivation of dry field to wet field, changes in the work of the Javanese became better and can be rubber gardening, and inter tribal cooperation on the activities pengarih or sambetan. Acculturation Language in the form of Javanese language blend Dayak people can speak Java and vice vers. Acculturation of Arts in the form of participation and enthusiasm of citizens towards Javanese arts (Kuda Lumping) and the original art of Dayak tribe (Tari Perang).Keywords: Acculturation, Culture, Ethnic, Javanese, Dayak.

Abstract

The title of this research is "Student Motivation Choosing Formal Education Based on Religion in Madrasah Aliyah Raudhatul Ulum Puguk Village Sungai Ambawang District". The purpose of this research is to describe the intrinsic motivation of students in choosing Formal based religious education in Madrasah Aliyah Raudhatul Ulum Puguk Village and extrinsic motivation of students in choosing Formal-based religious education at Madrasah Aliyah Raudhatul Ulum Puguk Village. The approach methods which this research use are qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data collection technic which this research used are observation, interviews and documentation analysis with data collection tools in from of observation guidline, interview guidline and documentation. This research result indicates that motivation formal education students vote based religion in Madrasah Aliyah Raudhatul Ulum because the thrust emerged from students (intrinsic) which includes interest and passion, ideals, and equality culture and motivation emerging from outside themselves students (extrinsic) caused the role of parents, want to get award and praise, the role of the his tutor, environmental conditions as well as economic factors their parents. Based on observations, interviews and documentation that researchers have conducted, proves that intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation encourage students to choose a religious based formal education in Madrasah Aliyah Raudhatul Ulum Puguk Village Sungai Ambawang District.

Abstract

The general purpose of this study was to determine the ability and understanding to determine the area of building in class VI students at SDN 15 Laman Bukit in the subject of mathematics. Specifically, it is to describe 1) improvement of students 'understanding in determining the area of building in class VI students of SDN 15 Laman Bukit, 2) Describe the extent of the drill method to increase students' understanding in determining the area of building in grade VI students of SDN 15 Laman Bukit. The method used is Classroom Action Research and researchers as action actors. The subjects of this study were the sixth grade students of SDN 15 Laman Bukit in the academic year of 2019/2020 as many as 16 students consisting of 8 male students and 8 female students and mathematics class VI teachers who were also as researchers. The procedure of conducting Indonesian Language learning research uses audio visual media through four stages, namely: a) planning, b) implementation, c) reflection and d) evaluation. Data collection techniques in research are non-test techniques in the form of cycles, questionnaires, and documentation. The cycle is done individually or in groups to find out and observe the development of students' mathematical abilities in the learning process which includes aspects of communication, cooperation, confidence, and empathy in conducting activities in the process of learning mathematics. The instrument used during the observation was a cycle worksheet. The score given on the cycle sheet uses a scale of 1 - 5. The results showed an increase in students' mathematical ability in groups in the process of learning mathematics increased from 19% in the initial conditions to 30% in cycle I and increased to 40% in Cycle II from the good category in cycle II increased to very good in cycle III.

Kunci persoalan tampaknya berada pada level kelas. Oleh sebab itu, upaya melakukan pembaharuan pendidikan harus berawal pada level kelas.
